Ever Been to a Live Show?

Has anybody here ever seen a band or artist perform? Who was it? What did you think of the overall experience? If you haven't, who would you like to see live?

I personally have seen both Metallica and Tool play live, and both shows were incredible! In a few weeks, I'm going to see Iron Maiden, and in a little over a month, Motorhead.

Ive been to a few bands before.
but i mostly prefer wrestling events over concerts.
ive seen
skillet
tobymac
journey
bon jovi
newsboys
hawk nelson
and for wrestling events
2 tna
1 raw
for the bands i want to see
probaly has to be Haley Reinhart & britney spears "their hot"
and hoobastank

Rilo Kiley
Imogen Heap twice
Laura Marling
Mumford and Sons
Bat For Lashes

All good experiences. Sure I'm forgetting someone

Been to lot's of live events, hockey games, monster truck events (don't recall what they are called), seen motely crue and Iron maiden in concert (phoenominal experiences), almost got to see AC-DC (kick myself everyday for not going), wwe house shows, even went to some awards show for country music (given that was for free i was used as a filler for tv :p). Live shows are always awesome!!!

I've mostly been to concert as I have yet to see a wrestling event live. I have watched many bands perform in concert. A lot of them were really good, such as: Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Korn, Chimaira, In Flames, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, Divine Heresy and a ton more. They shows were amazing, especially Rob Zombie. He had robots and massive pyro on stage. His singing wasn't up to par, since he missed some words in his songs, but the stage show made up for it for sure.

Bands I have been dying to see are: Metallica, Tool, Bullet For My Valentine and Bleeding Through. I am sure there are a few more I just cannot think of them.

Oh yeah, Godsmack, Taproot and Sevendust are amazing live also. Godsmack puts on a hell of a show.

ive only been to a few concerts sense i dont get many ones that really perk my interst around here often.

but i saw rascal flatts with blake shelton back when blake shelton was just starting out in music really good show didnt have good seats but even high up and away from the stage still had a great view which was good and the sound was perfect.

another time i saw the american idol annual concert they do when chris daughtry was on the show (i only went to see him) and it was a good show a couple people were boring and the crowd didnt care for them but daughtry was awesome and a couple other people were pretty good well worth the over a hour drive and the money.

Next week, I am going to London to see GODSMACK in their only UK show in a decade, and cannot wait, and then the week after I am at the first reunited STONE ROSES gig....which will be awesome, and Primal Scream as the support act.

I would love to see plenty of other bands, Soundgarden, Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine, and I would really like to see an Eminem show live.

I ALWAYS go to Pearl Jam concerts whenever there in Indiana or Ohio. I've yet to see a lackluster Pearl Jam performance. They change up a lot of their songs and play a lot of classic rock and Indie covers. They usually end with Yellow Ledbetter or Baba O'Riley and it's always fucking beautiful. Their concerts are almost always three hours, with at least two encores.

Check out PJ when they come to a venue near you! :)

I have seen alot of shows, I'll list them by each individal show.

Bleeding Through, Slayer, and Marilyn Manson.

Rockstar Mayhem Festival 2010 (Korn, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, etc.)

2 Cent, Children of Bodom, Clutch, and Black Label Society

Drowning Pool, Five Finger Death Punch, and Godsmack

Murderdolls, Alice Cooper, and Rob Zombie

In This Moment, Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn

Sevendust, Three Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold

Uproar Festival 2011 (Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Seether, Escape The Fate, Bullet For My Valentine etc.)

Adelita's Way, Black Stone Cherry and Alter Bridge

Hatebreed, All That Remains and Five Finger Death Punch

The Pretty Reckless and Marilyn Manson

I have also been to 3 WWE events. One Smackdown, One Smackdown/Ecw, and one Raw.

My favorite performances I've seen were both Manson's (favorite band) and the 3 times I seen Avenged.(2nd favorite.)

I'd love to see Metallica, Tool, and a reunited Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham

I plan on going to Mayhem 2012 with Slipknot, Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Whitechapel, Upon A Burning Body and more.

I love music basically =] haha

Radiohead (4 times)
Bloc Party (twice)
Basement Jaxx
Biffy Clyro
Red Hot Chilli Peppers (they suck live)
Foo Fighters
Tenacious D
The Futureheads
Hundred Reasons
Lostprophets (that was a loooong time ago, before they'd even released their first album - they never played my town again once their first single charted well)
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Muse (twice)
Elbow
MGMT
The Zutons

I get the feeling I've missed some bands here.

After I saw hundred reasons I had the chance to go around the corner to another club to see a new band, this was back in 2003, I went home thinking the band would suck if a stub from another gig got you in for free. It was the Killers. About two weeks later Mr Brightside came out and I was kicking myself, but now they suck so I'm not sure if I missed out or dodged a bullet there.

I've been to quite a few shows, not a ton but more than your average person I would guess. The better ones were:

Bob Dylan
Stone Temple Pilots
Finger Eleven
Serj Tankian
Chris Cornell
Junior Brown
Jimmie Vaughn (Would of rather seen Stevie Ray Vaughn but that's not really in the cards)

The best of those were STP mostly because that was their first show back after they reunited in 2008 or whatever it was, Bob Dylan simply because he's Dylan and Cornell because he played just about everything from his career (Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and solo stuff.)

I've been to a few shows:
Third Day
Casting Crowns
Nickelback
RED
Newsboys
Dave Matthews Band

There are a few others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
My top 3 from above would have to be (in no specific order) Casting Crowns, Third Day, and RED. They were the most phenomenal and had me up on my feet pretty much the entire time.
The following bands are on my bucket list to see live:
Breaking Benjamin
Skillet
Creed
Evanescence
Alter Bridge (NOT the same as Creed. Don't say it.)
Killswitch Engage
Times of Grace
Group 1 Crew
Demon Hunter

I recently got the opportunity to go see Pearl Jam perform live, and it was pretty cool! They played a lot of their hits, including Even Flow, Jeremy, Corduroy, and Black. I ran into one of my buddies, who I had no idea was going, and there was one guy next to me, and we competed to see who could participte in the craziness the longest. I thought Pearl Jam wouldn't sound that good live, but they didn't disappoint, and damn, Veder looks nothing like he did in his youth. Needless to say, I had a blast!

I'll list the ones I remember

Papa Roach 3x
Nickelback 2x
Weezer
Foo Fighters
Kris Rowe from The Ataris
LIVE
Stone Temple Pilots 2x
Puddle of Mudd
Drowning Pool
Nonpoint
Stroke 9
Blink 182
Chester French
Fallout Boy
Staind 2x
Weird Al
Stone Sour
Christina Aguilera
No Address
Kaiser Chiefs
Matchbox Twenty
Sugar Ray
Third Eye Blind
Sonic Youth
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Poison
Winger
Cinderella
Faster Pussycat
Buckcherry
Three Days Grace
Smashing Pumpkins
My Chemical Romance
Maroon 5
Flyleaf
Breaking Benjamin
Hinder 2x
Deaf Pedestrians
Switchfoot
Finger Eleven
Chevelle
Hell Yeah

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
