ECW III

Getting Noticed By Management
This is my first thread so I hope I do good on this. Let me know.

I didn't watch the original ECW. I started watched watching ECW in 2006 when WWE revived it. I became a fan of ECW and what it stood for. Although I consider myself an loyal WWE fan I was a fan of ECW. I was disappointed in what ECW started to become of the next couple of years. The ECW Originals left and the ratings started to drop. It was around mid 2008 when I stopped watching. C.M. Punk left, Kofi Left, the Major Brothers left. Overtime I thought what would it take to get me interested in ECW again. Around summer of 2009 I started thinkink about what would it take to get me interested in ECW again. What would get the 1.0 rating up to a 3.0 or 4.0 rating like Raw.
Then I got it. A second Revival. The WWE has enough superstars that started in ECW during the first Revival. WWE could do a draft pick or do something like in 2006 when Paul Heyman came back and brought back all the orignals with him. By December I thought WWE might actually start bringing superstars back to ECW. Vince might actually try to fix ECW; he might actually care. The ECW Homecoming tournament started. Kane, C.M. Punk, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston were all competing on ECW again. I thought it was happening. Then a couple months later we have NXT instead of ECW. So I thought what if in a year or two Vince says lets bring ECW back again. Let's see if it can be successful again. Let's just see what happens.
So the point of this thread is for you to create your own ECW. What do you think would happen if Vince brought ECW back? Do you think it would be successful? Do you think it was a mistake in the first place getting rid of ECW. And Last I want you to create your own roster of what you think ECW should look like if you bring back.

ECW:
GM: William Regal.

Main Event:
C.M. Punk.
Matt Hardy.
Mark Henry.
Christian.
Kane.
The Big Show.
Sheamus.
Sid Vicious.
Chris Jericho.
John Morrison.

Mid Card: ECW Television Championship.
Chavo Guererro.
Evan Bourne.
Yoshi Tostsu (sp).
Abraham Washington.
Mike Knox.
Kofi Kingston.
Jack Swagger.
The Miz.
Rey Mysterio.

Tag Team Division.
Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder.
La Resistance.
The Bashams.
The Dudley Boyz.

This is basically create your own roster of ECW if it was brought back a third time. What would you do differently? And anwer these questions too; What do you think would happen if Vince brought ECW back for a third time? Do you think it would be successful? Do you think it was a mistake in the first place getting rid of ECW. And Last I want you to create your own roster of what you think ECW should look like if you bring back.

No disrespect but, in regards to bringing ECW back AGAIN, I wouldn't hold my breath.

When ECW first came back in 2006, it worked for about a year. But after Chris Benoit died, it just went downhill quick. It introduced us to the likes of Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger and Sheamus, helped launch John Morrison and the Miz into superstardom and gave Matt Hardy and Christian their first world championships in the WWE. To me, these were the only good things to come out of it.

No, I don't think another revival of ECW would be successful as it would not be any different than the first time around. In fact, I'm suprised the ECW brand lasted as long as it did. As far as I know, Vince McMahon brought it back just so he could milk the proverbial cash cow for as much as he could.

When they did One Night Stand back in 2005, it was meant to be a one-night-only reunion for the ECW promotion and its fans. Unlike WCW which went out of business with a bang, ECW went out with a whimper. It was like they were selling out shows one day and all of a sudden closed its doors the next. ONS 2005, to me, was to act as a send-off and a thank-you for all the people who worked there and supported it. After that, that would be all she wrote for ECW.

But Vince McMahon won't be bringing ECW back again as it pretty much ran its course. That would be like if he wanted to bring back the XFL after it crashed and burned in its first, last and only season. He's smarter than that.

At least, I hope he is.

ECW will never be brought back. The whole PG era kills all attempts to do that. When the WWE brought "ECW" back it was in name only. Look at the fans after a few months of hope (and the first PPV which was amazing to see our ECW again) we turned it off. There was nothing extreme about ECW in the WWE, the matches weren't hardcore unless special rules. The talent brought over into the new "ECW" didn't know what ECW meant to the people and you could see it in the product. The WWE had a huge chance to make a totally different brand and still make $$$ off it by letting Pauly do what he did before they bought ECW. That way the fans who wanted the hardcore and extreme matches had an outlet to get them while also keeping his WWE clean. Problem was I think he knew that eventually everyone would start liking ECW over the WWE because in the original all it lacked was funding or it would have blown up. You'll never see more passionate fans then the great ECW fans!
