Dream HBK Match

Narsat

Dark Match Winner
Hi Everybody,

Not sure if this has been done before but I wasn't able to find it anywhere...my question to everybody is who would your dream opponent be for HBK? My choice would have been Brock Lesnar. I think these two could have done something epic together like HBK/Undertaker at WM 25. Brock was at the top of his game since his debut in the WWE and HBK was putting on 5 start matches since his return in 02. I think HBK/Heymen on the mic would have been gold and the ring work would have been WrestleMania worthy. Everybody knows HBK had no problem putting new talent over when he returned so Brock would have won this match...what bothers me is they teased this one night on Raw...I remember a brawl in the ring with a few people and there were a couple run ins then HBK Superkicked Lesnar out of the ring.

I have a feeling a lot of people will choose Sting which is fine but there was actually a chance of HBK/Lesnar happening as they were in the WWE at the same time...I never understood why this match never happened...

My dream match for HBK is against Ricky Steamboat. The timeline of their careers didn't match up for this to be a possibility, but it would have been awesome. They are very similiar in terms of speed and agility. This would have been an epic match.

This didn't happen because Brock left WWE so suddenly. I'm sure Vince was planning on Brock being around for years and would have eventually gotten to this match. Too bad Brock never wrestled HHH either.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Shawn Michaels
To my knowledge, this has never happened. Two very different type of styles, I think it would be interesting to have seen these two lock up. Both have lots of charisma. Eddie of course would've been the smaller guy in the match which Shawn is not use to. I also don't think Shawn has ever wrestled anybody with the Mexican style background. Eddie was real rounded athlete and if his highflying didn't put you away, his ground work would've. On the other hand, you have Shawn Michaels who could hit you with one Sweet Chin Music and you're out. Shawn is usually used to carry matches he's in. Like his match with Undertaker, or John Cena he carries those matches until they are five star matches. Eddie did the same (JBL and Batista). So this match would have been Wrestlemania material no doubt. It would've been a match everyone would be talking about, and in my honest opinion, it would've beat the hell out of Undertaker/HBK match at both WM25 and WM26. They both went out there and left it all in the ring everytime they wrestled. Both were great performers and can easily put on a dream match worth seeing.

I would say my dream opponent to face Shawn Michaels has already faced him. That being Triple H. I've always thought highly of their matches in between 2002-2004, but primarily in 2002. Triple H and Shawn always tore the house down, and had one of my favorite feuds of all time.

However, I'm guessing this will be based on some that hasn't really ever happened. And I know my own choice is probably gonna be somewhat disqualified, but Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair both in their primes. They had some great matches with each other in the 2000's as well as they had a rather decent match back in 1992. But neither of them were both in their primes when they faced each other. And I'm thoroughly convinced it would've been an absolutely awesome match. Especially if they went into one of the classic Flair / Steamboat 1 hour draws.

Ricky Steamboat would have been an amazing match, so since that was already chosen, I'll go with Steamboat's opponent @ Wrestlemania 3, Macho Man Randy Savage. You would have had 2 tremendous athletes, 2 guys who are all-time greats in the business. I think it would have been a fantastic match. I'm not sure what the storyline would have been, maybe they could've built something around Miss Elizabeth. But you really wouldn't have needed an involved story. They would've had a classic, probably @ Wrestlemania, and they would've have stolen the show.

HBK vs Bret Hart, in their primes, without the negative attitude towards one another. Yeah, I they faced before, but I would have loved to see what HBK/Hart could have been if they had the respect for one another like HBK did with Taker and with Flair at their respective WrestleMania matches. Serrioes, match of the year, decade, and maybe of all time..

I'd love to see HBK and the Rock go at it, HBK could carry a great match with Rocky and the promos and mic work leading up to it would be off the charts amazing

I always wanted to see HBK vs. HHH in an Iron Man match.

Naturally, HBK vs. the Rock would have been good.

HBK vs. CM Punk is a feud I wanted to see but didn't get a chance to. The same goes for a legitimate HBK/Morrison feud as opposed to the tag team feud they had.

I'll go with "Macho Man" Randy Savage. I think they probably got their hands on each other in the late 80s or early 90s back when Savage was Heel and Michaels was still part of The Rockers.

But "The Heartbreak Kid" never faced him. I think this would have been a great match. I have heard numerous times that Savage always had to have the match completely planned out before he went out there. So, with the athletic ability of the 2, mixed with complete coordination, probably could and would have been a classic.

I could see the feud leading up to the match having something involving who's Top Rope Elbow is better and what not.

I think the way the finish goes down is HBK wins by hitting the Sweet Chin Music. All the talk about the elbows and HBK hits his true finisher and wins the match.

HBK vs. John Morrision
They have similar In-ring style JOMO has been called the next HBK. I think this has already happened but Im talking about JOMO in a Few yrs when he's in his prime. Just Imagine HBK in his prime vs. JOMO in his prime thats has MOTY, hell even 1 Of the Greatest Matches in History.

Yeah I would have loved to have seen Macho Man at his absolute peak around 87/88 go against the HBK of 1996. I'm sure it would have been a brilliant match.
Sting and AJ Styles too would be great matches too I'm sure.

Also he didn't wrestle Bret Hart enough, in some ways I'm glad they hated each other because that came across so well in their matches, but I guess it shows just how much in-ring chemistry they had as they never injured each other as far as I'm aware. 2 matches whilst both in their prime wasn't enough, should have had at least one more where Bret won and readdresses the balance a little bit.

Im gonna go against the grain here and put a tag team match.

The Rockers vs. MCMG

It wouldve been epic not only as a match but as a series.

The thing about HBK is he can have a good match with just about anyone. So I would have liked to see him go down the list of young guys there today, like Daniel Bryan and John Morrison. And course The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels. They should have really lobbied for this match when they had the chance...

I think the match I would love to see would be Nash,Hall,HBK,HHH and X-pac
vs Hogan, Flair,Hart, Austin and Goldberg

HBK vs The Rock

We all know the story behind this one. How they each turned down the idea when creative wanted to do a feud between the two.

Both men, I believe, can still go in the ring. It would be great if they could start a program at the Rumble and build it up to match at WM. I mean it is only 3 months and seriously, this would be THE spectacle at the show.

They can easily work past-real-life issues into this as both the guys are past it and make it so much entertaining with the mic-work.

The one match I would have loved to see was Shawn Michaels vs the Dynamite Kid. If you remember how good those triple threats between HBK, Triple H and Benoit were, imagine the guy that Benoit patterned most of his career after going at it with HBK. That would have been a truly exciting matchup.

I think the way the finish goes down is HBK wins by hitting the Sweet Chin Music. All the talk about the elbows and HBK hits his true finisher and wins the match.

Shawn wrestled Randy Savage a few times in 1992 in Europe when Michaels was IC champ and Savage was champ. They also wrestled after Savage lost the title and Michaels was still IC champ.

HBK versus The Rock really needed to happen...it's a true missed opportunity. The 2 guys in character always had beef. HBK was involved with DX, Rock feuded with DX. This would have been one massive match for Wrestlemania.

Who knows, maybe it's not too late?

My main pick is The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels. Both can deliver on the mic and in the ring, they would've had an amazing feud if the two agreed to face each other. The feud would be like HHH vs. The Rock all over again but 5 times better especially if HBK were to be the heel in this feud.

But the beauty of Shawn Michaels is, he matches up with almost anybody in the ring cause he adapted so many wrestling styles as he mentioned in his Q&A on Youtube, which is why there's a lot more people I would love to have seen HBK compete against.

Vs. Brock Lesnar
Vs. John Morrison
Vs. Daniel Bryan
Vs. Ricky Steamboat
Vs. CM Punk
Vs. Stone Cold (Rubber match)
Vs. HHH in a Ironman Match
Vs. Sting
Vs. Chris Benoit (1 on 1 at a PPV)
Vs. Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match
Vs. Edge in a TLC Match
Vs. AJ Styles
Vs. Diamond Dallas Page (Original WCW version)
Vs. Eddie Gurrerro
Vs. Booker T
Vs. The Great Muta

& I'm pretty sure there is some more but these are the ones that have popped in my head as of now.
