I was wondering if Cena turns heel could he get the crowd reaction from One Night Stand 2006? In that match Cena was boed like a heel and in my oppinion he played a heel in that match. But if he turns heel now will he get the same/similar reaction from the crowd?

I think that it may take a while for his fans to adjust to his heel persona if he ever does make the transition, but in terms of crowd reactions i think that he would still get some cheers, but to see the real crowd reaction to a Cena heel turn, time would be an important factor

I've always said that Cena will first be replaced by a new top face, then turn heel and probably feud with the new face. I've also said that the new top face could be JoMo, so I could also be insane. lol.
Cena will probably be like Hogan; here in a couple of years, the kids who loved him will be older and bored to death by him. They'll stop cheering him, maybe even boo him, and that will lead to his heel turn. It's not really how I want to see it happen, but that's how Hogan went heel and since Cena is referred to as a modern Hogan, by some...

But yeah, I was one of those guys who was an old, old ECW mark and that was one of the times I've marked out the most was ONS '06. Yeah, when Cena turns heel it will be a big deal, he'll get boo'ed out of the building, and then probably reinvent himself as a top heel...just like Hogan.

it would all be about 2 factors:

Timing: Where do you do it? when do you do it? I may be in the minority but i feel that Wrestlemania is NOT the right time to do this. Mania sells itself but people want to see the "happy ending" close out the show. When you spend the $50 or whatever it is for a show you dont want to see that happen, no matter how historic it would be.

Opponent In my opinion this is not the right time to pull the trigger for once reason only. There is no one on the roster who is currently a big enough face to challenge a heel Cena. The problem we would have is that SuperCena would go into overdrive. Hes already the strongest, the most dominant and most recognisable Superstar in Wrestling. Who beats that???

Solution Have Miz win the main event of Mania. Hell have him retain the title till Summerslam. Make him the most dominant Champion in recent memory, more and more clean wins, but as he is doing this have him slowly turn into the tweener role. Less cowardly tactics, more crowd pleasing promos.

Then have him lose his title to a heel. Lose the rematch and go on a losing streak heading to Survivor Series. During this time, Cena can step up to the main event to challenge the heel for the title and Win.

Going into Survivor Series have Cena headline a Smackdown vs Raw match, where the Champions pick a team each. Cena picks The Miz on his team, they are the final 2 against the final Smackdown superstar, Miz looks like he is finally going to get his first win for months when Cena steps into the ring, hits the Attitude Adjustment and walks out on the Miz leaving him to get pinned.

Miz comes out the following night, saying he hasnt been himself since losing the title, hes not had the target on his back that comes with being Champ and that is why his motivation has gone, following Cenas actions the night before have shown he has been caught up in the Title spotlight and turned his back on what is right, the opposite to what has happened to The Miz. Cena comes out of nowhere and brutally attacks The Miz, taking him out of action for the "indefinate future"...

At the Rumble, Miz enters as a surprise entry no1. Have him last the whole match and come down to the last 2, once again Cena interferes and throws Miz over the top. The winner of the Rumble choses to fact the World Heavyweight Champ leaving the Elimination Chamber to decide No1 Contender for Raw. Miz wins to go onto face Cena at Mania in a rematch where now you will hopefully have a monster heel in Cena, but also have created his perfect foil in what could be equally as big a face in The Miz.

that would be how you could get the same type of reactions from ONS on a regular basis, but people would have to have the person they can cheer for who would legitimatly look like he could win....

Look this question crops up ever so frequently like a Nerd's D**K who is accustomed to seeing porn on net and suddenly catches cleavage in real, which is to say almost every freakin day... Still I'll try to answer it..

The heel/face are decided by the crowd reactions.. Tweeners are who are supp to be heel yet show face pops.. Cena is a full BABYFACE.. Yet the crowd chants Cena Sucks.. Best ex. ONE NIGHT STAND 2006.. Reasons
1) The crowd didn't have any kids or almost negligible amount.. Hence no support..
2) It was ECW. Which means that every one from WWE was to be booed the hell out of their bodies.. Heck, even Rey Mysterio was booed. Cena stood no chance..
3) He was fighting ROB-VAN-DAM, an ECW original who helped in putting their company on the map.. Look at how every one, even VKM turned face in The Invasion storyline.. You support your Company wrestlers, commentators, broadcasters, GM, camera-man... PERIOD!!
4) Cena wrestles power/brawler type which is boring for the ECW crowd [AND IS GETTING FOR US WWE FANS AS WELL ], and they are used to violent spots.. Lack of them meant Cena was going to be booed..

Bottom Line is Crowd Reaction makes or breaks you.. Remember GOLDBERG v/s BROCK LESNAR at MSG.. The crowd hated them.. The match of two pure power house monsters.. It could have been the match of the night.. But the crowd reaction killed it..

All in all, Cena will turn heel when the majority [INCLUDING FACTIONS OF KIDS {Yey, I got Cena's Action Figure} AND WOMEN {OMG.. CENA.. I just had an orgasm}] will start to boo him as well because he would have gone stale completely or done something so heinous that they will turn him heel...

If John Cena ever goes heel, it'll be the biggest character turn since Hulk Hogan went heel in WCW back in 1996. In terms of popularity, John Cena is the modern day equivalent of Hulk Hogan. Cena, generally speaking, has been a nice straight laced good guy that your average person loves to get behind. People sometimes call John Cena Superman, usually as an insult because it does get annoying sometimes the way he just pops back. Like Cena, Superman is a straight arrow, stands up for what's right and all this and that. Also, like Cena, Superman might not seem cool to someone that likes their heroes with more of a hard edge to them, but he's still the #1 hero out there in the minds of your average person. That's how John Cena is to your average wrestling fan.

We've all become familiar with the infamous "Miz Girl" shot. You know, when the camera caught that little girl scowling with pure hatred towards The Miz winning the WWE Championship. Now, imagine an entire sea of men, women & children with expressions of shock, dismay, anger and outright sadness with tears streaming down their faces. That is exactly what could potentially happen if WWE decided to turn Cena heel in just the right moment and at just the right time.

Well he's already getting half of that reaction every time he wrestles.I'm not really sure what he can do right now to turn heel.He doesn't get boos when he FUs Orton. He probably won't get boos for FU-ing Miz,nor Morrison nor Bryan nor CM Punk.I think the kids will still cheer him even if he hangs The Rock from a helicopter because the kids don't know who The Rock was, they just know him as the guy from the Disney movies who's crapping on their hero.He probably won't get booed from the people who do remember The Rock either, because everyone's clamoring to be so individual and ironic. The people who boo him now will probably cheer him when he turns heel.Besides, most of the guys are just booing Cena because it's expected of them to boo him during his matches. It's not like One Night Stand 2006 where the crowd literally hated Cena and everything he stood for.

Cena may have to drop an F-bomb on TV to get a heel reaction.More specifically,Cena will have to tell the WWE Universe and all the little kiddies with their mommies that buy them the $20 t-shirts and $10 wristbands to go f*ck themselves. That should be shocking enough to get a big heel reaction. Then again, like I said, many of the guys who boo PG SuperCena will cheer heel SuperCena.WWE can't turn the whole crowd against him no matter what they do.The best they can hope for is 65%-75%.

Even if he turns heel in the most despicable way possible he wont get a reaction from the WWE crowd. Like the one he got from the ECW faithful, the ECW fans were the most hostile wrestling fans ever. They would shit all over a ECW wrestler back when ECW was still around if they botched a move they would chant "you fucked up". They would also chat all kinds of vulgar insults at the wrestlers.

The WWE fans are nowhere near as violent and vulgar as the ECW fans were. I'm sure if he turned heel you'll hear more crying from the women and children then boos. The men that always boo him and chant Cena sucks will probably cheer him if he actually turns heel. I think the majority of his haters are just tired of his superman persona and want to see something different from him for a change.

I think I know the key thing into turning John Cena heel. That key is

The Rock

Think about it. When (if) these two ever have their long anticipated match the crowd will be about 90% pro Rock. There really is no way around that. What I think in my mind would be the best decision is if they plan to have Rock vs Cena at SummerSlam this year, that would be the best time to pull the trigger.

You could have Cena and Rock both be faces during the entire build up, have the feud be all about respect and the likes. Come SummerSlam time, Cena and Rock tear each other apart for a good 20+ minutes. Cena hits around his 2nd FU of the match after failed attempts and The Rock still kicks out. The Rock slowly gets up and in a series of moves the Ref gets knocked down. Cena then loses his mind because he cannot put The Rock away, goes for a steel chair and beats Rock with it continuisly and then hits another FU while the ref makes the famous "slow count". Thus declaring Cena winning by cheating.

Just imagine the crowd's reaction to that. They would more than likely already hate Cena's guts, but this would be the icing on the cake. He comes out the next night to cut his promo about saying screw it, I'm doing this for me and me alone from now on and he will do whatever it takes to win. Would also be a great build for him to face Undertaker at next year's Mania.

Hell yea. He gets booed like crazy in mojority of arenas so i think it would work. The Cena haters hate him anyway but it will take time for the 3-16 year olds and women to hate him.

I agree, the Rock could turn Cena heel, but I think a Cena heel turn COULD (key word) change the whole game. Think about it, Cena's original WWE title run ran hand in hand with the WWE going 100% PG. He had to be the super Cena, baby kissing hero to change the perception on the vulger anti-heroes we all loved from the 90's. Cena is the centerpiece of Vince's PG world, and there is NOBODY on the roster who could replace him as a super face: Trips/Taker/Rey/Edge are all on their way out the next few years from an ring capacity. Orton is an anti hero, JoMo and Kofi aren't main eventers at this point, they couldn't carry a promo war like Cena (yes I kno his promos are lame, but he knows how to deliver them). What this means IMO is if Cena goes heel, he would have to become one the biggest most dominant heels ever, why? Because he'd have to lead the WWE into its next phase: a pseudo PG13 style. I don't think they'll ever go back to the Attitude era, but I've noticed Vince has eased up casual swearing (especially with the Rock), I could see them allowing an occasional "ass" and "damn" on TV again. They also eased up on blood, no guys aren't blading, but you don't see them stopping matches to clean up nose bleeds anymore (like when Orton busted Punk's nose, it was a good visual). That might mean instead of forcing cookie cutter heroes down the masses throats, we might see more anti heroes, which would fit the Miz, CM Punk, Drew, Seth Rollins(Tyler Black) and Ted well. We could also see more of an edge for JoMo, Kofi, Bourne and Daniel Bryan (imagine if they dumped the goofy gimmick and theme music and let him be the American Dragon). It all comes down to one thing: Is Vince ready to bump up his focusing on kids and focus the product on an older demo (teens)? That will determine Cena's future.

Yes he will be booed, the crowd will just have to get used to it, Now wouldn't be a good time for the turn because right now he has had those same kids behind him since 2006 and as time will go on, those kids will turn into teens and then adults, and then that will be the time for him to turn heel, those fans that once cheered for him will then love to hate him..

It's the same thing that happened with Hogan, the people that booed him as a heel were the same kids that cheered for him when he was a face..but they were just more grown up..
