DC Animated Movies Are The SHIT!!!

SSJPhenom

The Phenom of WZ
I've spent the whole day watching them and they're freaking sweet. If only their actual movies could be this good. My favorite so far has been Batman: Under the Red Hood. I also like the Superman/Batman ones too.

Anyone else watch them?

I recently watched Son of Batman 'cause I wanted to see Damien on screen.

Not good.

Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker will always be my shit though.

I'm watching Justice League: War right now. Its the New 52 version of the league. Its pretty good.

Coco, Son of Batman wasn't that good, you're right. Watch its sequel though, Batman vs Robin. I liked that one better.

If it ever hits Canadian Netflix, sure.

Crisis on Two Earths also blew. An adaptation of the story had already been done in the Justice League show (I know, I know, same source material) and was a million times better. I think Brave and the Bold also did a Syndicate two-parter that was pretty good.

Though even if that well hadn't been bone dry by the time I saw the movie, Crisis on Two Earths likely still would have fallen quite flat.

Apocalypse was okay (I've always been a sucker for Darkseid). Flashpoint Paradox was also okay. Doom was okay.

That's all I've got.

Oh, and Subzero has a permanent place in my collection simply because it's part of the Timmverse. Though I remember it being very poorly promoted at the time, and this is coming from a kid who was dying for new Batman: TAS content. Was that just my imagination? I didn't hear about it until I found VHS copies sitting on store shelves.

Public Enemies was good as well as All Star Superman, Superman/Doomsday, and Superman Unbound. Also the animated adaptations of Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns was good. With part one being better than part two.

Throne of Atlantis was just awful as was Arkham Assault. The Wonder Woman stand alone was pretty good though.

I was hooked up from about a year ago when I watched "Dark Knight Returns". Most of them are pretty good and can recommend:

Superman: Doomsday- Just Superman vs Doomsday fight is awesome
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths- Evil versions are good and loved Batman vs Owlman
Batman: Under the Red Hood- one of underapprecited by auidience. Whole Jason Todd and one of my favorite actors Jensen Ackles voicing is awesome
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse- Darkseid is great. Whole fight with him is epic.
Justice League: Doom- Just for Batman's contingency plan to destroy The League if they turn evil
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns- Millers comic and whole Superman vs Batman thing where Superman is actually just govermant pawn and Batman kicks his ass. No way Superman vs Batman would be better then this.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox- What would happen if there is no Flash, pne of most underutilised characters when it comes to animated movies
Justice League: War- Again, Darkseid and whole League fighting him.
Batman: Assault on Arkham- Suicide Squad. Again, no way movie would be this good, especially Smith as Deadshot because he is awesome in this one.
Justice League: Gods and Monsters- OK, not that great but Superman kills and is Mexican and Batman is acctully vampire so worth for that.

Oh, and who didnt watch can reccomend JLA and Young Justice series. Both are freat.

I've only really seen two to be fair

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm
Batman Of The Future: Return Of The Joker

All awesome.

Still find the scene from Return Of The Joker rather disturbing

Mark Hamill is still the best Joker

I've just watched the two newest DC Animated films. Batman Bad Blood, which is a continuation of the Son of Batman story arc and Justice League vs Teen Titans, which is a continuation of the Son of Batman and Justice League War story arcs. They were both amazing. DC never misses with their animated stuff. If you have Vudu, I highly recommend watching them.

They're awesome.

Most of the Batman ones are really solid. The two part Dark Knight Returns one they did was great. I recently watched "Assault on Arkham" and it wasn't a bad way to kill 75 minutes but I wouldn't really call it memorable or anything I'd watch again, and the ending just pissed me off.

Pretty much the only thing DC has over Marvel these days, their animated division. Nice to see so many iconic story arcs turned into films.

Can you guys list all the animated movies that were made? Want to watch them all. The only one I remember watching was the Suicide Squad one which I enjoyed. I saw a trailer of the one where the JL was different as in Superman was Mexican or something like that. Was that good?

I highly recommend the Superman/Batman story arc. It's awesome. Also, if you want to see Superman vs Doomsday the right way, watch Superman/Doomsday. It was awesome as well.
