David vs Goliath Fights

David Vs Goliath fights. Always Interesting these ones.
Now, I know that there is not many of these happing any more(at least in America)but over the years these have been some of my favorite fights, not favorite like they are classic battles or epic encounters, for example there not my favorite in the way that the Wanderlei-Jackson trilogy is some of my favorite fights, but because being a smaller guy myself(5'6 120lb.)
I loved that they showcased that size didn't always matter, and that a skillfull fighter of small stature could beat a man much larger then him with techniqe and speed.

So all in all, what is your favorite David vs Goalith fight and why.

Mine has to be Gerard Gordeau vs Teila Tuli from UFC 1. Yes the very first show from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and not only that, I even belive it was the very first fight on the card, making the first UFC match in history. Teila Tuli was a Sumo Wreslter, I think they even said he weighed 400 or so pounds coming into the fight. The man he was fighting, Gerard Gordeau, was a Savate champion from France (Savate is like kickboxing only with a few different rules such as your are only alowed to kick with the foot, no knee or shin strikes) and weighed in at about 215 or so coming in to the fight. The fight starts with Tuli almost imeadiatly running after Gordeau and tripping, then getting caught getting up of the ground with his back against the cage, and gets probaly one of the most brutal kicks in UFC history, right to the face, Tuli loses three teeth, one went under the anouncer table, which they refer to in the video, and the other two lodged in Gordeau's foot, and he delivered a huge right hand for the over kill, and broke his hand. He still managed to keep going in the tournement that night, and not only that, he beat his next opponent to advance to the finals, where the legend himself Royce Gracie choked him out.

If you have any freak show fights that you like, that aren't necicsarly David vs Goliath fights, fell free to post them or post about them in here too.

The Zulu vs. Fedor fight, one of my first fights I watched of Fedor, it just amazed me how much this man was out weighed and was still able to obliterate him from the minute that opening bell sounded.

Both fights listed are some good ones, but I think the one fight I like to show to people who have never, and a fight that is the first typical viewed of any Fedor fights is his match against Hong Man Choi. He weighed 320 pounds and was 7'2, towering over Fedor, but Fedor was able to dominate in under 120 seconds with an impressive arm bar. Fedor was able to lock him up, stop Hong Man's ground game, and work to tie him up, not once, but twice into the arm bar. Impressive fight for The Emperor.

Yeah... Fedor vs. a lot of his opponents gets the nod from most, because not only did he beat them, but he destroyed them.

However, I think my all time favorite is Minotauro Nogueira vs. Bob Sapp. Sure, Sapp might be a shit fighter, and Nog isn't necessarily a small person, but Sapp's still a very large human being (plus Sapp was undefeated at that point in time), and the way the fight went down makes it my choice. I mean, Sapp had this baby won all because of his strength and power, but Nog hung in there after taking one of the most devastating moves you'll ever see in an MMA fight, and eventually applied an absolutely gorgeous arm bar for the win. Awesome fight.

Those piledrivers by Sapp still make me cringed, the Nog brothers are just incredible fighters all around.
