Daniel Bryan's "Anger Management Classes"

Last night on Raw, GM AJ Lee Tweeted that Daniel Bryan was being sent to anger management classes next week on Raw. What do you think these segments will entail?

Several weeks ago, they featured a few segments on Raw in which Bryan underwent "a psychiatric evaluation" in which he was put into a small room with a "doctor". I'm thinking that next week's Raw will be something along those same lines.

Bryan, to me, has been consistently entertaining with his antics. This is an angle that could've turned out terribly had it not been for Bryan basically putting everything he's had into it. Getting into it with fans at ringside has been a great touch. However, I'm a little worried that they might be trying to go into this a little too much in the long run. What has me worried is the chance that WWE is going to turn Bryan into a character with so many screws loose that he ultimately becomes some sort of comedic character. I hope & pray that they're not going down that road because Bryan, in my eyes, has been one of the crowning gems of the WWE roster since cashing in his MITB briefcase last December.

i agree 100 % i am interested to see what happens, but i hope the anger gimmick ends before its to late. mabye it will end when he finds another girl to be with, but i dont see that happening any time soon...

I understand your sentiment on how WWE can really, really screw this up with Bryan but I don't think they will. I think what WWE is doing is simply finding something to give Bryan until one of the World Championship pictures becomes less clogged, or until the champions are guys he hasn't already had a title feud with. And this "something" that they are giving him has proved to be real good entertainment. Why not stick with it for the time being? I'm sure the anger management sessions will cause for quite a few laugh-out-loud moments. If Bryan does happen to fall too deep into the comedy realm, with Bryan's wrestling abilities, it should be easy enough for him to flip the switch from angry comedy man to angry, fierce wrestler.

I think Bryan as done an absolutely fantastic job with this anger management angle he has been given, he has put everything into it and it is really getting a fantastic reaction. I love the small things Bryan does to further the gimmick like getting into fans faces with the Yes-No thing, and one that I am not sure many people notice the little shake of his head (side to side) when he comes out it really adds to the idea that he can't stand what is going on.

I really hope they don't push it to far and make him a comedy figure, but with him constantly insisting on being given a wwe title shot so it seems they still want people to think of him as a contender.

Knowing the WWE, this could well turn into another Charlie Sheen cross-promotional thing. Given their recent history, you know it will absolutely send DB over the edge.

I'm sure i saw an article on here that mentioned Sheen saying that if it worked well for both parties, they'd do more work together.

I see DB reporting for his session with the doc as the Originator suggested, with Sheen popping in every time the doc nips out or is distracted, setting DB off and making the doc think it's all in DB's head...

I sure hope that the WWE doesn't deop the ball with Bryan the same way they allways do with other superstars, or that they don't turn him into another Santino Marella, after the fun is over the WWE should give him an intense rivalry with someone diferent, or i much rather have him turn face than having him turn into another comedy mid card........

i think it is a cool idea they are having him go insane and want him to take anger management classes i wonder if they will bring in Sheen to do the classes or even better have Daniel bryan show up on the show Anger Management and be in Sheen's class!

I hope the point of these anger management classes is just to get Daniel back to normal for future matches and nothing more, so they can end this storyline once & for all. It's run it's course now that Summerslam is over & AJ is GM, and frankly the whole "NO" thing has just been annoying as of late.

For me this is the final step Bryan will take from being a professional wrestler into a full blown... sports entertainer! Not that it's a bad thing. I mean look at Austin attacking Vince in the hospital with a bed pan. It wont hurt him, it will just mean he should be now be known throughout the "IWC" as a WWE guy not an Indy guy made good and is working out great etc etc. He is WWE through and through with all this stuff he's been working on, and although I prefer my wrestling more serious, Bryan has been doinga great job.

Bryan has been very entertaining lately and WWE and guys like Kane, Sheamus and Cena have done an excellent job getting Bryan over. He is a comedic talent, and that is ok. I know that typically goes with the "jobber" label but in Bryan's case he is getting a starring role on Raw, competing in competitive matches with top guys while playing a comedic headcase. Him and his fans should be proud and not so uptight. If DB is so concerned with wrestling and integrity he would have never gone to WWE in the first place. Lighten up and enjoy all of his hard and smart work paying off even if part of the payoff are some over the top "anger management sessions".

I think his recent work has been a testament to how much he has improved his mic skills and charisma in a relatively short time. Everyone always knew that Bryan could wrestle, but around this time a lot of people, not just industry people but people on these boards, were calling him a vanilla midget. Honestly when he was in his face run when he held MITB, that wasn't far from the truth. He was almost a face version of Del Rio, you knew he had in ring skill but his mic work was just meh. Now he is up there among the better guys today.

I can honestly see him going down the road that Jericho has traveled. He is a guy who doesn't have to win a lot to stay over with the fans

This is ridiculous- it does not make sense- why would there be cameras aloud in an anger management session. Why keep beating a horse that does not draw money. The psych evals didnt garner interest so why would this? The action should be kept in the ring. This is pretty similiar to the Randy Orton snapping gimmick. That sucked too.

:lmao: I can't wait for this to happen, and this is literally the only reason I'll be tuning into RAW come next week. I simply can't wait. This not only looks hilarious to me, but this also seems like it could be something we're all sitting here talking about 15-20 years from now.

"Remember that time Bryan went to anger management?" Pure gold on the outside. So much potential. I hope this turns out as well as it could and doesn't flop.

My thing is I think all these "anger management" classes and all the time he's spending with the Psychiatric evals and what not would be a great way to bring in Dean Ambrose. I mean he could come in as a guy working for Bryan as someone he met during all this. At which point the two of them could really start making hell as a team before splitting and having a great fued.

Daniel Bryan has turned into a bit of a comedy character and I love it. The guy was so dull and boring as a babyface. When he gets into it with ringside fans and they yell "yes" and "no" back and fourth its hilarious.

He is very over right now. The smarks will always love him, but the kiddies are into him too. They love chanting "Yes" and getting under his skin. Kind of like how they love hating Miz.

He just had feuds with Punk and Sheamus. Cena is now busy with Punk and Orton is leaving soon to shoot 12 rounds. Even though its a stupid angle, Kane probably the next biggest wrestler left.

I'm looking forward to him going to anger management class and hopefully it makes me laugh. I rather see this than CM Punk vs Lawler.

I think this poster is on to something that can work. Some thing that has a payoff that DB can ride out for a long time. What if these classes run for about four to six weeks? The first couple of weeks could be the typical humiliation of Bryan that we expect and AJ with a big smile on her face. Week 3 can show some actual growth by Bryan. By weeks 4 and 5 Bryan could be healed and in a better place making AJ the victor in all of this. Week 6 can be Bryan's graduation from "Anger Management". At the graduation, Bryan can completely flip out along with a few other classmates. They can destroy the classroom, beat down the doctor and for a (gulp) faction/stable of guys who are mean, angry and unstable. AJ can be humiliated, she needs to lose some of her battles in order to stay a compelling character.

Other side ideas that come to mind:
1) Have Mark Henry be the class bodyguard/bouncer that keeps Bryan in line. At the end have the stable either destroy Henry, thus setting up a feud or have Henry join the stable as another angry, unstable enforcer of the group.

2) Instead of "No!" Or "Yes!", during weeks 4 and 5 when we are meant to believe that Bryan is finding comfort in life have him change his chant to a calm, "cool, cool, cool" or "ok, ok, ok".

3) Have AJ offer Bryan a contract or award for graduating like a title match or some control of the show.

4) Have Kane also sit in on the classes and end up being a comedic pussy from all of the therapy.

I know this doesn't all work and it may be a little bit complicated but this kind of stuff needs to have some type of payoff instead od just meaningless comedy and lately DB has been getting a lot of screen time but also a lot of humiliation. This type of payoff would get him a small victory and a stable may give him more to do in the future before his current gimmick gets too overused and stale.

Sacred Mesa and I will be awaiting our royalty checks WWE.

I know a couple other people have said it... but "Anger Management" is the show that Charlie Sheen is on... there have been rumors of Sheen and Bryan having some interactions.

I'll say that this is going to involve Sheen appearing one or two times for these "Anger Management" classes, and it will turn into a fued with Daniel Bryan vs. someone of Sheen's chooising. I think this is more of something to keep Bryan busy while he isn't in the title picure, and developing more depth to his character.

Personally, I used to dislike Bryan, but he has gradually grown on me. Whenever his music hits, I look forward to him. Plus, this past Monday night when he tore up the sign and constantly being distracted during his matches is just hilarious, especially when he gets in fan's faces and screams "NO!"

Daniel Bryan has impressed me ever since he turned heel last year. He has gradually grown into a consistently great in-ring worker and one of the most entertaining talents in WWE. His segments are always used for a purpose and I find myself laughing at his interactions with ringside fans. Which is funny, considering alot of people once complained that Bryan lacked charisma or was boring. He took a role doing nothing with the Nexus and turned into one of the top new stars in WWE.

That being said, I'm hoping this whole "anger management" storyline isn't a lame attempt at bringing Charlie Sheen into the show. I'm a fan of Charlie Sheen and his movies and Two and A Half Men. He's a funny guy. However, it seems like more and more lately that WWE is ****ing themselves out to whichever celebrity is desperate enough to want another payday. Look at all the "social media embassadors" WWE has had in the last month or so. I'm afraid that WWE will bring in Sheen and have him kick Bryan's ass and then Bryan will become irrelevant. Kinda like what happened with Mickey Rourke and Jericho. Or Mayweather and Big Show. If done right, I understand that WWE can get much needed publicity out of it[which is fine]. They need to do it in such a way that leaves Bryan in a good spot though, which is where WWE normally screws up royally. I just hope Bryan isn't a casualty to the typical bad celeb booking.

How is AJ a face when she's a pyscho and needs help(kayfabe).Bryan was right women always screw guy over. Remember when Debra managed the Rock or when Kane had Tori. Ask Dolph about Vickie since he really looks legit but with her he looks like a boy toy. Ask Shawn Michaels was Sherri a better fit than Nash? He won't. Women on the road is for the boys to "unload stress" and when their done they get cut ask mickie or melina
