Another round. This is from him and anything in quotation marks is from me.
“Cena losing in tables matches and fatal fourways to Sheamus is perfect. It wouldn’t make sense to have Sheamus pin him or make him tap so early in his career. Sheamus won those matches fairly under the rules. Him winning that way is supposed to get on the fans’ nerves. It’s called being a heel champion.”
If there not willing to give him a win over a top level guy, then they have no business being champion.
“What do you mean Sheamus hasn’t been made to look dominant against top guys? He’s credited onscreen for putting HHH out since what, April or May?”
After doing everything possible to make sure HHH could save face.
“He dominates smaller guys which is as standard and old school of a way to get over as there is.”
Yeah because that tactic worked so well for guys like Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, and The Great Khali, IT’S THE FREAKIN 21st century.
“This mental aspect of Edge is about as much of a stretch as possible, especially since Edge is probably the most overrated main event guy this century.”
Says the guy who thinks Sheamus is WAY over as a heel! Edge was portrayed as smarter than the rest of the roster most of the time. How does that make him over rated?
“Again with this mental domination. It’s physical contact, not a chess match. Sheamus is WAY over as a heel and has dominated Raw for the better part of a year. He’s gotten the rocket push that so many in the company have lacked for years now but hey, you don’t like him so it must be done wrong. Sheamus is a rousing success, period.”
Okay now you sound like Tony Schiavone or Matt Striker when they make up stupid shit.
Sheamus is not a rousing success or way over as a heel; Jericho, Miz, Edge, CM Punk! Those guys are/were WAY over as heels. Sheamus is like a fart in church compared to them in drawing heat.
He hasn’t dominated ANY top level star to date! No HHH doesn’t count because that beatdown of him was half assed, just like his push.
And wrestling is more mentally involving then you think. Outsmarting your opponent plays just as much a part (if not more) in wrestling as physically dominating does. One of my favorite examples of this is the Angle/Guerrero match at WM XX.
Personally I think you should ask the mark in you this question, “What is it that makes Sheamus appealing to you?”
