D-Man's "Reason" Why John Cena's Most Recent WWE Title Reign Only Lasted Two Weeks

I don't think it was to be unpredictable. It was for gimmick reasons. They're pushing Cena as an ultimate super-hero face that never loses. Why shouldn't he have 10 titles. Now he won't be the "nine-time world champion john cena" He'll be the "TEN TIME WORLD CHAMPION JOHN CENA!". Him winning at NOC was all for gimmick reasons.

I can agree with the whole unpredictability theory, but I don't think WWE is going out of it's way to "outsmart" us. Now I like Cena and him being champion doesn't really bother me at all. In contrast, it doesn't really bother me when he loses the title because he puts on good matches (WM27 excluded). The triple threat HIAC match was genius IMO and the way they setup to further the storyline is one of the reasons I still watch today. People complain about the writing and how bad it is, but no one is dropping an application to be a writer for the WWE.

The WWE is gaining it's unpredictably back but how are you going to say you didn't see someone( R-Truth and Miz) interfering in the match?

I would have seen it a lot less if they didn't do the whole, look who's here with tickets thing. always does my head in with stuff like that because you know then that they're going to get involved

wwe has been great the past few months. if you are hating you should just stop watching becasue they will never make you happy. adr/cena/punk looks to only just be starting and all of them will trade the title back and forth. forget the past, they are currently selling these 3 as the best. iwc seems to worry about what will happen next instead of what is happening right now.

This seems like a great assumption. Right now, Punk and Cena are The Rock and Austin of the attitude era and Del Rio is pulling up behind them as the Triple H. Not in terms of gimmicks, but in terms of sells and how WWE wants them portrayed. Right now, Punk and Cena are out selling any other star in WWE. Sure Punk may have been higher in sales these past few months, but I'm willing to bet that those numbers weren't that much higher than Cena's.

Also, for the past 2 years or so, I've really loved the WWE. For starters, Taker/HBK at Mania as well as the whole Batista/Cena angle (which was huge). Then they go and bring in the Nexus, turning them from rookies to true bad ass big time players. Then after that, comes the birth of The Miz's legacy as he became the WWE champion. With his reign that started the day after Survivor Series and lasted all the way to Extreme Rules, he found his holding in WWE. Then there was the brief R-Truth push, which has now been spun into a big time storyline that's worth watching. And finally, there's CM Punk... the man who brought way more excitement into WWE than previously before.

And also, as much as I don't like the modern day Dwayne Johnson, I must admit that having him return at Mania this past year, wrestling at Survivor Series and possibly putting Cena over in a feud can serve as a great money maker and storyline.

And as for the people who complain about this stuff, well this is just proof that they need something to complain about. WWE has recently gone into the IWC to see what they think should be happening, and for the longest time, WWE's been giving them what they want on a silver platter. There will always be people who are constantly given what they want and still reject it... these people are known as douchebags, assholes, trolls, babies, ignorant, or Tea Party Republicans...

Firstly, I read alot of your posts D-Man and whilst I agree with some, I disagree with some, you seem to trying to convince everyone that your right, and whislt you are, partly, mainly, there's some points I fell that arnt wholey true, del rio won the title back for a few reasons, firstly, they want a Mexican to hold it in mexico, no dirt sheet required, they wanted khali to hold it n india, people come out for that home-town boy thing, giving cena back the title helped put del rio over, his first reign was a MitB cash in, everyone who cash'd in has won the belt, his second, he won a hell in a cell, with cena and punk, raws two biggest faces, he locked cena out, and beat punk, that grabs heat, and attention, you take notice, you made a post about it, look at the replys.. Then theres the fact he's gonna drop it to punk, cena dosnt need to be involved, he's gonna lead HHHs team, so he's took out of it, but after all this is said and done, cena has a reason to go after Del Rio and keep him away from punk, who I assume at this time will probly be fueding with truth, or miz

First off, thank you for reading my posts. It's nice to know that readers out there specifically point out my posts from others. I try to put a lot of time into them.

Secondly, please try to improve your grammar. It's very difficult to read posts whose words are only separated by commas. I had trouble separating your thoughts in the post but I think I got the gist of it.

Onto the subject at hand...

I'm not convincing anyone of anything. Why does everything need to be so black and white about all things pro-wrestling? Is it fair to think that we both might be right and the WWE is killing two birds with one stone?

Reports have definitely surfaced about keeping Del Rio at the helm in order to gain buy rates in Mexico. It makes perfect sense in the ways that you mentioned (i.e. Khali) but it doesn't always have to be the ONLY reason why it happened. Yes, the WWE had the "hot potato" title angle happen before but I'm sure they don't want it to be a one-time-only occurrence. If the main events become cookie-cutter, no one will buy he PPV show because the main events are what sells them. Once viewers "figure out" a pattern, they have no need to spend money on the PPV's anymore. So the WWE must always be thinking of ways to gain revenue.

The point is that we shouldn't blame it on Cena or internet. Smarky remarks like "He hogs the title" are just ignorant and stupid. And to honestly take your personal feelings about him (as well as a few others' opinions on this forum) and try to believe that it's the majority is just plain foolish.
