For the past three and a half years, we know of the WWE tag team known as Cryme Tyme. They first debuted on RAW in mid to late 2006 vs. the Spirit Squad. And for about 7-8 months in the WWE they had a good run even though not winning the world or WWE tag titles, they were released.
The RAW the day after Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando, FL. Cryme Tyme were back in action against Cade & Murdock with a victory. This was done by the WWE due to there at the tyme where there wasn't enough african-american wrestlers on WWE programing. And it was during the same tyme frame as the infamous "Wrestlemania Weekend Party" in where Freebird & Smackdowns head creative writer and a very drunken Michael "P.S." Hayes in where he used the "N" word towards Mark Henry.
So Cryme Tyme pretty much picked up where they left off on RAW as be'in the entertainment aspect of a tag team by feuding with other tag teams while receving very little to no tag team championship title shots! So last year both Cryme Tyme members are drafted to Smackdown shortly after Wrestlemania 25. Where by the summer Cryme Tyme was on a role with facing the JeriShow at Summerslam for the now unified WWE tag team titles, but ended up losing the match and losing the feud. With that being said, is it tyme for a Cryme Tyme heel turn??
Because Cryme Tyme is really just a blend between D-Generation X and Los Guerreros. Two black hood guys from Brooklyn, NY who can (help) bring in a "urban demographic" i.e. african-americans aka black people. Cryme Tyme stole & sold from rival teams, trashed things, and even when as far as joining up in a faction with the almighty John Cena himself before getting drafted to Smackdown. Cryme Tyme and will always be about getting "money money, YEAH YEAH! that money money YEAH YEAH"! (Sorry got a little carried away there!)
So there's really nothing left to do but to turn Cryme Tyme heel! They could introduce the WWE universe to the art of "Gangsta Wrestling" like real gangsta's introduced gangsta rap? I like it! Why not do it? The WWE are high on the whole "black wrestler prison story" right now with the likes of MVP and R-Truth. Maybe this tyme they could have a legitmate chance at winning the WWE unified tag team belts? only TYME will tell I guess?
