Contest - Decade Retrospective Column

Team- I am currently speaking with Chris Cash from the Main Page about a contest I'd like to run starting around December and January.

The contest is simple - pick ONE event that occured between the years 2000 and 2009. It could be a match, a signing, a significant news story, or anything else you deem worthy, and write a column on why is was important, significant, impactful, etc. Of all the columns, the three judged to be the best will (potentially) be published on the main site.

Topics that could potentially do very well:

The Benoit double-murder suicide
9/11 and Vince's Speech
WWE institutes a wellness policy
Vince buys WCW
TNA Arrives
MMA gains in popularity
Attitude era ends, PG era returns
Brock Lesnar leaves WWE for Football, UFC
The Brand Split occurs
Vince Russo destroys kayfabe in WCW
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bichoff sign with TNA

Any topic is fine. There may be a minimum length of 750 words, but not sure yet. Judging cruteria will include clarity, reasoning, analysis, spelling and punctuation, etc.
