The Pentagon thing is kind of sketchy, but there's no way the government could've put bombs in the WTC. Someone would have noticed. And if it was an inside job to give us an excuse to go into a war on terrorism, then we could've just said that we suspect they have weapons of mass destruction, and we would still have been able to go in there and fight. Also, why would we kill our own? There would've been much less fatalities if we had just sent planes or dropped bombs into a location near the White House. It would still look like terrorists were sending warnings, and Bush could've used the excuse that "he's being proactive". I'm not a big Bush fan, but I will give him credit for reacting to the September 11, 2001 attacks in the best way possible. As I said earlier, Bush is simply not smart enough to be able to pull that off without being caught. If Clinton couldn't hide getting a blowjob, then Bush couldn't hide this.

That's not a legit enough reason back then. We would have said "And? They're not going to use them on us." 9/11 showed the Americans that the Muslim Extremists would actually attack us. Thereby making any war in the Middle East instantly easier to gain support for. Pearl Harbor 2.0

FDR purposefully let Pearl Harbor occur to drag us out of the Great Depression AND get us involved in World War II. The United States government isn't above killing their own citizens.

That's not nearly as big as passenger jets being crashed into the World Trade Center and having 3,000 fellow Americans killed. When you're already plotting a terrorist attack against your own people, the amount of people killed doesn't really matter all that much.

You're forgetting Cheney and the massive web of secrecy that is the CIA and FBI. Cheney is creeptastic, and certainly capable of piecing together a plot such as this.
