Comparing companies like Strikeforce to the UFC

I mean show quality wise.

In the 'Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg' I made the following statement, but it got ignored because I think people just wanted to give their thoughts on the show. However, I'm positive people here have an opinion on this, and it's one I'd really like to hear. So, please... read this quote below and give me your thoughts:

You know what I love about Strikeforce, and loved about EliteXC for that matter, is that their fighters show up to fight. I mean, there's no hesitation, no bullshit.... they get in there and fucking fight. There are hardly any decisions in these shows, whereas the UFC has them all the fucking time. I think that's because the fighters in Strikeforce feel secure, like they have nothing to lose because if they do lose, they will be on the next card nevertheless. Whereas the UFC fighters are so scared of losing their job, that a lot of them, especially on the undercard, play it safe when they step in the cage, which leads to a lot of stalling and hesitation. I don't know; just something I thought about while watching the show tonight. Anyone agree?

To further elaborate on that, look at a company like WEC. Bantamweights and Featherweights are very hard to come by, and the fighters know that, so they're able to go out there and lay it all on the line without any worries of losing their job, which is why the shows usually end up being fantastic. Sure, there are a lot of decisions in WEC, but that's only because most of those guys don't have knockout power; however, most of those fights still end up being awesome regardless. And to me, it's not because those guys are smaller and faster than the fighters in the UFC; it's because they know they have nothing to lose. You think if Jens Pulver would've gone on such a losing streak in the UFC Lightweight Division he would still have a job with the company? Fuck no he wouldn't. But it doesn't matter how many times he loses in the WEC, he'll still keep getting invited to fight for the company. So, like everyone else in that organization, there is no insecurity when it comes to his job, and in my opinion, that makes the fighters fight a whole lot better than the fighters who do have to worry about that sort of stuff. What do you think?

I actually noticed this with PRIDE. OK, sorry if that isn't your point. I got talking to a friend of a friend about MMA and he lent me a copy of PRIDE's greatest knockouts... and HOLY SHIT.

OK, so you'd expect people to be hitting hard and putting everything on the line in a glorified highlight package of knockouts, but most of them blew anything I'd seen in the UFC out of the water. They were kicking the absolute fuck out of each other. Fedor beating the living shit out of Nog is particularly striking.

I was watching WEC for the first time the other night, and I have to admit that even decision fights were wonderfully entertaining. The action is quick and always moving. I was trying to flip between it and another program, but the fights drew me in.

In UFC you can get some real snooze-fests every now and then. You may be on to something here, but I don't know enough about how each promotion is run to say for sure.
