CM Punk Is Now Reverse Miz

It was revealed a couple weeks ago that CM Punk is following in the footsteps of The Miz, who got famous through MTV's The Real World and The Challenge by joining the next season of The Challenge. It's a special Champions vs Pro Athletes addition of the show so he will be joined by a handful of other pro athletes as well.

Does anybody think he has a shot? As an avid watcher of The Challenge I think he will be able to hold his own just fine, the challenge champs he will be against do have some good athletic ability and it takes real skill to win this show though so who knows, maybe he'll look worse than he did in his UFC debut. Either way i'm looking forward to this.

If he does well then there's something he can do with his career, I guess. Even though I wasn't the biggest CM Punk fan, I'd rather see him come back to WWE in a Chicago event to see what kind of pop he'd get. I'm not sure how badly he burnt his bridges when he did leave though.

I'd rather see him return to WWE in Chicago only to lose to Roman Reigns. The butthurt reaction from the crowd would be absolutely glorious.

I'm pretty sure he's not attempting to make a career out of this, everybody is playing for charity and it seems like just a way for MTV to try and bring in some more viewers while they kill time until the next real Challenge season begins. Though if he shows some big personality and does well maybe he'd get invited to do a real season of the show, but I doubt it.

They still do this real world challenge shit? Shows how little I pay attention to anything related to MTV.

Depending on the challenge he'll have a shot. The advantage he and the other "pros" have is the constant athletic training and their natural athletic ability that is essentially amplified by their sport specific training. The "champs" have the advantage that they know how the challenge works.

He definitely has a shot. I'd say all of the contestants have a pretty fair shot.

Punk beat Shawne Merriman in the arena challenge last night...

Yeah he did, and had a fight with Johnny Bananas which was highly entertaining. He's lucky it wasn't one of the physical ones they do though, because Merriman would have killed him if so.

Punk is 4 years older than Johnny, and made more getting beat up in 2 minutes just for his sponsor than Johnny's entire net worth :(. Kinda meaningless saying he didn't make it when no matter what you say his shorts > your life :(

Punk calling him out for being nothing but a fan was gold though. I'm not sure if he was fully into the fight or more so in the mind set of trying to look better than Bananas.
