Chyna in the hall of fame

I feel that ever since chyna died a few years ago that They're been a wave of support toward trying to get her inducted into the wwe hall of fame. But for now, they haven't listen to those in support of her getting in.

While I not really for her getting in, not really because of what happened in her personal life but mostly because she lucked out for most of her career by being at the right place at the right time and then trash the wrestling business at every occasion she had and in a weird way, disrespected every fans that supported her and made her a star. I get while some fans and wrestlers would like to see her get inducted.

But the fact is, the decision isn't in the fans hand, it's in the hand of the McMahon and right now, I feel that Vince,HHH and Stephanie still hold a grudge against her for everything she said against them throughout the years and that the only way they might considered to put her in the hall of fame is if they get some sort of backlash from the mainstream media for not indicting her, kinda like what happened when she died and they we're forced into making a tribute video for her, because if you read between the line, every time Stephanie or HHH we're doing interview about her, you could see that they did all of thoses to save face and that they don't care if she ever inducted in the hall of fame.

Anyway, I would love to see what are you're thought about this. Do you think that Chyna deserve to be in the hall of fame? Will they ever change their mind about inducted her?

There wasn't a single female talent in the WWE between 98-2001 better or bigger than Chyna. Sure she had her issues post-WWE, but no one did what she did in the ring. For me she is as a pioneer to the women's division as Moolah or Trish or the current crop of the "women's revolution".

I am not entirely sure at this point the actual prestige of the Hall of Fame, but if Ivory or Jacqueline are in it, then Chyna sure deserves to be in it. She didn't do anything to anyone other than the McMahons.

Who cares? It's the WWE Hall of Fame. There isn't much rhyme or reason behind. It is just a way to keep olders fans somewhat invested and for Vince to thank the talent that he wants to thank. Put her in or not, it doesn't really matter.

And yes, I think they will put her in. She's dead so she can't do much harm. Plus at this pace they are going to run out of names. The biggest question is whether or not she goes in before or after Ashley Massaro.

She'll go in.

I think it was evident all along there just needed to be some time to let some of her scandal fade in people's minds, even though it won't ever completely.

but for me, the evidence is that Steph mentioned her by name at the Royal Rumble and she was in many of the promos for the women's accomplishments recently. They are warming back up to her.

She absolutely deserves it, and it will happen eventually.

Basically! Chyna’s induction likely gonna happen somewhere in the next few yrs.

She's a bigger name than some of the females who are in it already, If its judged on name value she probably deserves it but personally I always found her overrated and thought her matches against men was a horrible idea, How can any man look good beating on a woman?
I never got the appeal of that. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets inducted in the near future, Kind of an awkward conversation for Triple H, Vince and Stephanie Mcmahon to have to see if the ex deserves to go into the hall of fame.

Right, because she would be the first Hall of Famer to have slept with a McMahon. The naivety on this forum is laughable.

As a major ticket sale portion of WrestleMania weekend, the WWE has their HOF inductions. They will do this as long as it makes them money. They also put half a dozen people in each year. Arguing over who will go in is silly on its own; but, when you look at the numbers, they will obviously have to lessen the "integrity" of the Hall to keep this tradition going. At this rate, in 10 years' time, there will be 60-70 new people in the HOF. You're gonna tell me that any of you can list 60-70 deserving snubs right now? Nonsense.

The Hall of Fame--and really any Hall of Fame--is a way to enjoy the past. When you people take it so seriously, all it does is upset...you. McMahons don't care. The inductees don't care. But 40-year-old Jimmy throws his belt replica across the room, knocking over his action figure collection, because a less-than-worthy wrestler from a time before he was a fan gets in before his favorite Attitude Era star.

I get that people have different things they are passionate about, but why be so passionate from afar when the people actually involved couldn't care less?

Here's the thing about the WWE Hall of Fame:

One day, I believe there will actually be a physical HOF that people can visit. I think WWE wants that to happen but they want the right location; there was talk at one point on making the HOF part of Universal Studios, which is a major tourist attraction, so that's something that could help keep the cost of running the HOF down. As of right now, it's probably on the lower end of the priority scale right now as the company is more focused on expansion and making more money, which is hard to argue with.

The WWE HOF induction ceremony is at its core another pro wrestling show. This one relies heavily on nostalgia and simply doesn't have wrestling matches, yet it brings in a lot of money as people buy tickets to it. It's really kinda brilliant when you think about it. Are there wrestling halls of fame that feel more "legitimate"? Maybe, depending on what your definition of legitimate is. After all, it's not as if many of the biggest names, stars and draws in the long history of pro wrestling aren't in the WWE Hall of Fame and you can also measure legitimacy by how much people care about it. Whether it's to praise or criticize it, massive numbers of people from wrestling insiders to fans are invested in WWE's Hall of Fame whereas most of those fans don't really give two shits about the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame or the NWA Hall of Fame.

As far as Chyna being in the WWE Hall of Fame goes, it'll happen someday. As has been mentioned, Chyna's dead so there's no more risk of Chyna doing or saying something to potentially embarrass the company. I mean....hey, it's the worst thing in the world to honor someone who's done porn. I mean, it's not like WWE has honored people accused of pimping out young women trying to make it in the wrestling business or committing murder, documented history of sexist or racist behavior or remarks or people who've been convicted of rape. :) Umm...wait a second....

And there it is. Casual fans wouldn't even know about those halls of fame. If the HOF was really based on merit there's plenty of people from the Capitol Wrestling and WWWF yrs that deserve induction.

Bad press dies down eventually, and what's left are the things that powerful people want you to remember.

I think that interest in Chyna will get to a point where putting her in the HOF is a given, and that it's not quite there yet. There might still be resentment from Stephanie, but I'm sure that Stephanie knows full well that she won that war hand over fist.

The porn thing? Meh. That whole industry is suffering from a glut to where you'd probably be inundated with the most disgusting images you've ever seen just because you attempted to find one of Chyna's videos. Even then, this isn't the Reagan era. While the WWE wants to clean up their image, porn isn't nearly as taboo as it used to be. She did it, it's out there, this isn't a secret of her life. If the WWE didn't mention her work in porn, it would be mostly to maintain their reputation but it would to a lesser extent be because nobody fucking cares about that.

Chyna was great, and she deserves to be recognized for that.
