I'll try to dumb this concept down for you. God is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. He created everything on the Earth all the animals all the mountains , rivers , valleys and he created humans.(In his own image) God considers us his children. Why would anybody want to hurt what they created ? God wants the best for us but he gave us minds of our own. That means we have the ability to either believe in God and go to Heaven him. Or dont believe in God and eventualy wind up in Hell. God doesnt want us to go to Hell but he gave us that choice.

That's part of Christianity, yes. But, Harthan was explaining Deism. (Spelling?) He follows that. Believes that. I don't really get why you posted ^ that in response to his explanation.

Exactly, which makes me believe if their is a God; damn all those stupid ass books. You get in based upon the merit of your heart, not what you dedicate your life too. I know PLENTY of Relgious folks who're straight up ***** and probably the worse Moral Character I've ever seen; yet you'd allow them into Heaven over an Atheist who spends his time trying to help anyone and everyone around him? Who has a good heart, but doesn't want to waste his time "worshiping" someone. That's where God and Relegion really lose me; why do I have to "Worship" anyone? I was giving feet to stand, not knees to bow.

Religion is very confusing. From what i've been taught you can be the nicest guy in the world and still not get into Heaven because you arent saved. I know that's hard for some people to accept but that's the way things work.

nah bro, or god is an aweosme, mercifull, gracefull god. do you really think the lord we have all learned about for so long, being so good and kind, preaching tolerance, wouldnt tolerate the ignorance of some to him??? You would have to deny him to his face to go away. He would welcome ALL his children at the gate. their life would just be devoid of his blessings during the earth bound part.

God should have that, on top of the "power" he posses to make us, so he'd know how we are. The problem that I have with that theory is that it goes completely against what is written in the Bible. Since I take the Bible to be true, the Word of God, then I don't believe that would happen.
