Luther.. That's not what it's about Luther. God is full of mercy and love and compasion and forgiveness. Do you think that he actually wants to send one of his children to Hell? He doesn't. God loves everybody. He gives everyone the opportunity to come to know him. Some decide not to take advantage of that. That's not God sending someone to Hell. That's someone choosing to not follow God, therefore condeming themselves. :/

From what i know , Nobody realy knows the exact time or day. Supposedly it happened during the spring. but we celebrate it in December.
What? What does any of that have to do with anything regarding God apparently screwing up big in forgetting to unlock the bloody door to Heaven. Why the hell didn't God decide to make it okay in the first place, instead of making hundreds of generations burn in hell before he threw his son to bumble about for 30 years and fix it? My point is, why did God screw up in the first place, and why didn't he just fix it with his omnipotence?
He didn't screw anything up, Harthan! WE DID. Have you heard of The Fall of Man? When Adam and Eve did the one thing that God instructed them not to..? They brought sin into this world. The rest is History. From that point on, we had the choice.. Whether or not we follow God and live for him, resulting ultimately in our going to Heaven, or denying him and living for ourselves, then going to Hell.
It's a simple concept, I think.

I don't believe in your God, I think he's a mythological power construct created by the predecessors of the Hebrews out of their mythology and used to justify the existence of a world before they had the science to rationalize it, and also to be used to hold power over a generally weak willed populace.
