I think it's probably the other way round. Carlito had potential but just became bitchy and didn't care after he didn't win a belt. He's no huge loss. He’ll show up in TNA and maybe he'll do something. We'll see.

The last time Carlito was entertaining was when he was using the "Caribbean cool" heel gimmick.

In the latter part of that Caribbean Cool gimmick, he was actually in PPV main events (New Year’s Revolution 2006, he's actually the last guy Cena eliminates to win...before he loses the belt to Edge). It was pretty much when he began to feud with Chris Masters after their alliance was broken up that he became nothing more than another bland babyface. I would have liked to have seen him and RVD have more of a feud than the one match they had. It was Carlito after all who (kayfabe) re-injured Van Dam and put him on the shelf for several months. Their matches could've been entertaining.
