Campaign for The Great Muta Induction

Whatsinaname696

Pre-Show Stalwart
First off, Kieji Mutoh, has MANY names, so I'm going with the one he used while he was in America, The Great Muta. Japanese (or any foreign) wrestlers may have a harder time getting inducted, don't know. However, Muta did wrestle in America for a decent amount of time.

Might as well start out with his accomplishments, both in America and abroad, as he has considerably fewer here, not to say none, though.

PWI Rankings (Top Ten)
#7 (99)
#4 (01)
#3 (02)
#4 (03)
Also of note he and Jushin "Thunder" Liger are the only two wrestlers to have made EVERY PWI 500 from 1991 to 2010

Championships
NWA Florida Heavyweight Champ
NWA World Television Champ
NWA World Heavyweight Champ
WCW Tag Team Champ
AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champ (3 times)
AJPW Unified World Tag Champ (4 times)
IWGP Heavyweight Champ (4 times)
IWGP Tag Champ (6 times)
UWFI Heavyweight Champ
WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Champ
WWC World Television Champ
He retired the Greatest 18 Championship Title (kinda like NJPWs form of a Legends Title, a title that was given to Antonio Inoki by McMahon Sr. and was contested for in Shoot Bouts, became NJPW Title only when they broke off their partenership with WWF in 85)
Also won the G-1 Climax Tournament (other winners include Hogan and Andre The Giant)

The Great Muta is not only one of the most sound wrestlers in the world, perfecting a variety of moves including his Dragon Screw Legwhip, but in addition is one of the most inventive, innovating moves such as The Shining Wizard and The Muta Lock. He is also one of the most theatrical wearing lavish entrance gear, face paint, and mask, occasionally biting the ring ropes, spewing green (or other colored) mist in his opponents face, and just being all around creepy.

In NWA/WCW he had very notable feuds with Sting (also tagging with him a good bit) in some of the best matches wrestling has ever seen. He is credited as being one of (if not THE) greatest wrestler from Japan of making the biggest splash (no pun intended) with a American audience. In Japan he also had feuds (and tagged with) the number one Inductee in the WZ HoF, Hulk Hogan, as well as plethora of other superstars (like Steamboat). He went on to become a member of the nWo and, while not a huge member of it in America, he certainly was in Japan's nWo division with Masahiro Chono.

He has million personalities, including Muta, Keiji Mutoh, Space Lone Wolf, White Ninja, Black Ninja, Super Ninja (which is wtf he is lol) and a million others. Instead of saying anything else about him I will let some video do the talking. Enjoy!

The many... MANY ways Muta can mist you

Some Trademark moves including ones he invented

This has some stuff with Sting, and is better quality

might edit and add later, but, for now, this has taken long enough =)

I'm indeed a Muta-Mark and Keji Mutoh deserves to be a wrestling hall of fame when he retires. When I first saw him I had never seen a moonsault before and was amazed at the move. His evil face paint and mannerisms were awesome and were like an evil veriosn of Sting who was my favourite wrestler when I was a kid. The Green Mist, the Dragon Screw leg whip and the Shjining Wizard as far a I know where all innovated by him as well as his explosive theatrical elbow drops.

He would have to be one of the most often immitated wrestlers in history and is truly a legend of the sport. Vote 1 Keji Mutoh!
