Just because I want to I’m going to talk about the buyrates from 2001 to 2004. It’s going to be long so read if you want to. But I really don’t care.
2001 ppvs:
Royal rumble 2001. 625,000.
No way out 2001. 590,000.
Wrestlemania 17. 1,040,000.
A record at the time.
Backlash 2001. 375,000.
( Huge decline) Austin’s heel turn. Backlash being in the same month. Rock leaving for Hollywood.
Judgement day 2001. 405,000.
Not good,
King of the ring 2001. 445,000
(Slight increase) Austin vs Jericho vs Benoit triple threat.
invasion. 775,000.
Summerslam 2001. 565,000
Disappointing considering it’s summerslam.
Invasion angle turned people off.
Unforgiven 2001: 350,000.
Massive drop.. Still mourning 9/11.
No Mercy 2001: 325,000 Buys.
Survivor Series 2001: 450,000 buys.
Who cares about the invasion at this point.
Vengeance 2001. 315,000,
(worst buyrate of the year) False advertising Triple h on the cover yet he doesn’t return.

Royal rumble 2002. 670,000.
Triple h’s return.
no way out 2002. 575,000 Nwo debut.
Wrestlemania 18. 840,000, down from the previous year.
Backlash 2002. 400,000
judgement day 2002. 373,000
King of the ring 2002. 320,000,
Pretty bad considering it’s king of the ring.
Undertaker vs triple h not a very interesting main event.
Vengeance 2002: 375,000.
Summerslam 2002: 520,000. Another disappointing summerslam buyrate.
Unforgiven 2002: 300,000. Taker vs Lesnar. Bit of a drop off.
No Mercy 2002: 300,000. Taker vs lesnar.
Survivor Series 2002: 340,000, disappointing. People didn’t know what to expect from the chamber match or what they were going to get,
Armageddon 2002: 335,000.

no way out 2003: 450,000 (Austins return)
Wrestlemania 19: 560,000 a terrible buyrate.
Backlash 2003: 345,000,
(Goldberg vs. Rock) but still a pretty mediocre buyrate.
Judgment Day 2003: 315,000
Bad Blood 2003: an increase 385,000. Foley as the guest ref in the main event.
Vengeance 2003: 365,000. Big success at this time.
Summerslam 2003: 465,000. Disappointing.
Unforgiven 2003: 360,000.
Hhh vs Goldberg a fresh matchup.
No Mercy 2003: 275,000.
Survivor Series 2003: 450,000.
