*Upset Alert*

In a typical match I'd say Yokozuna in his "prime" would simply out-last and dominate the British Bulldog, who has never been the type of Wrestler who could hang with true Main Event talent. However, in this match-up with the Lumberjacks being involved I'm going to go out on a limb, no pun intended, and say that Lance Storm seeks vengeance for his loss to Yokozuna and helps Davey Boy find a victory.

Now, before anyone jumps on the "that can't happen" band wagon - why can't it? Isn't a Lumberjack match the specific style of match that is made for interference from a Lumberjack, or more?

Point 1.

Lumberjack matches not only involved outlasting your opponent, it involves outlasting the lumberjacks. Davey Boy Smith is mobile, while Yokozuna is not. Lumberjacks have a history of beating down the opponents, and the second Yoko is down, the lumberjacks will beat him up, with little hope of him escaping. They'll roll him back in, and Bulldog will get the easy pin.

Yokozuna would never win this.

Davey Boy has the power to knock Yoko outside the ring. If that happens, his fat ass is dead meat. The lumberjacks will mercilessly beat him down, and he has enough trouble supporting his 500+lb self to stand up on his own, not mention during and after 10 lumberjacks beats the holy hell out of him.

Davey Boy will get his hand raised here.

This would go pretty quick.

Yokozuna would get the early start, dominating the first 2/3 minutes or so of the match, then Davey Boy would pump himself up and make his comeback and put 'Zuna away after a slam, making the crowd go nuts and leaving the Lumberjacks in awe.

Can't really see this going any other way. Yoko was a big motherfucker, but he struggled against power guys who could bully him around. When someone can come in there, and actually lift Yokozuna off his feet, it always threw Yoko completely off his game. I definitely see Davey Boy, in his absolute prime, being strong enough to be able to do just that.

Davey Boy has the power to knock Yoko outside the ring.

And Yoko doesn't have the power to do the same?

The lumberjacks will mercilessly beat him down, and he has enough trouble supporting his 500+lb self to stand up on his own, not mention during and after 10 lumberjacks beats the holy hell out of him.

I've seen a lot of lumberjack matches and not once do I remember every single lumberjack just beating the shit out of a guy for a prolonged period of time. The lumberjacks job is to roll the guy back into the ring, not beat the shit out of him. I realize the lumberjacks do get in a few kicks and punches anyways, but that only lasts for a few seconds and then they roll him back in. Besides that it's going to be a lot easier for Yokozuna to throw Bulldog out of the ring then vice versa.

The fact remains that Yokozuna in his prime was only pinned ONCE. Bulldog in his prime had one big win and that was over Bret Hart at Wembley Stadium with a roll up. He isn't going to be rolling up Yokozuna. Bulldog will put up a great fight like he always does, but Yoko will be too much for him.

Yokozuna will lose this, and the reason is in the lumberjacks. Yoko was a heel at his best, and Smtih was a face. If we take the primes of the lumberjacks too, you have Garea, Guerrero, Hogan on one side and Storm and Volkoff on the other. Aguably, Rikishi could go on either side, but it doesn't really make a difference. The one man that has routinely embarassed Yoko is Hogan, and I think Hogan would probably keep him out of the ring long enough for a Davey Boy count out win.
