Book This! Showcase Thread

#1Peep

Pre-Show Stalwart
I just thought I would make this to give anybody a chance to show of their writing/booking skills without going in depth or creating a full time show.

It could be a match/promo you want some feedback on or possibly even an old show that you didn't quite finish but would like to hear what people think of it. Post away!

I'll start this off, this is half of a show (Smackdown) that I didn't get around to finishing from an old Book This! I made. For anyone who doesn't know it is set the week after Over the Limit 2010.

Smackdown May 28th, 2010 in Cleveland Ohio

‘All Talk, No Swagger’

An Over the Limit pay per view recap begins to play, which displays Big Show’s dominating performance over the World Champion, Jack Swagger. Swagger had no response to a barrage of offense including; harsh chops to the chest, right hands to the ribcage and a monstrous chokeslam. The video continues with the giant accidently knocking the referee out cold followed by Swagger blasting the Big Show in the skull with the World Heavyweight Championship and following it up with a successful pinfall. Swagger gloats over his fallen adversary as Smackdown’s theme song and opening video begins to play.

*Let It Roll*

A rainbow of colour explodes as pyro shoots up from around the ramp and the WWE Universe is shown, hyped to be watching Friday Night Smackdown live! Let it Roll by Divide the Day plays around the arena while the cameras displays the entire area packed to the rafters.

Todd Grisham: Here in Cleveland, Ohio I would like to officially welcome you to the first Smackdown since the Over the Limit event.

Matt Striker: Smackdown had a great showing this past Sunday displaying just why Friday Nights are the premiere place for incredible wrestling.

Todd Grisham:
You can say that again Matt. Swagger toppled the Big Show but he did so under controversial circumstances.

Matt Striker:
It doesn’t matter about the circumstances Todd as long as the referee counted to three and awarded Jack Swagger the victory he is still our World Champion. And I am overjoyed Swagger is still representing the blue brand and instead of that gigantic oaf, the Big Show.

Todd Grisham:
And I’m sure if you keep on bagging out the Big Show he might just come down here and knock you out!

Matt Striker:
Well that would make me and an official. Shouldn’t he already be suspended for knocking out Charles Robinson at Over the Limit and now he might brutally injure an innocent announcer?

Todd Grisham: Innocent my as... (But Grisham holds back his frustration and continues on with his job) Jack Swagger is going to have to pull out his A game tonight (Striker begins to hype up his favourite performer once again until Grisham cuts him off and continues) when he takes on the red hot Kofi Kingston in a special Champion vs. Champion match-up organised by Teddy Long.

Matt Striker:
And also last night we saw the return of arguably everybody’s favourite wrestler Matt Hardy and he looked to be in the best shape of his career! I’m a big fan of Hardy’s, but I really cannot condone what he did to Drew McIntyre by costing him his Intercontinental Championship.

Todd Grisham: Yet you condoned the continual attacks on Matt Hardy by Drew McIntyre with most of them being from behind?

Matt Striker:
(Striker quickly moves on) All those attacks, cheap shots and insults won’t even be remembered by the end of the night as Hardy and McIntyre will square off and not in just any old match. In a no-holds-barred match!

Todd Grisham:
Tonight’s Smackdown looks to be a fantastic one and we are not even five minutes into the show!

*Get On Your Knees*

Matt Striker:
And we are going to start off things with a bang with one of the greatest World Champions in recent Smackdown history, Jack Swagahhh!

Jack Swagger opens up Smackdown with a smile on his face as if he just won the lottery. Truth be told, the only thing he did was defend his title successfully and it seems the longer Swagger holds onto his beloved championship the happier he becomes. A chorus of boos rain down on the champion as he steps through the ropes and begins to open his mouth and talk about what’s on his mind (which could take a while).

Jack Swagger:
What can I say? I hate to be that guy that says I told you so!

The Ohio crowd stay quiet, knowing that provoking him would cause him to gloat even more.

Jack Swagger:
Who am I kidding? I love being that guy! I told you so! I told you so! I TOLD YOU SO!

Now the WWE Universe can’t contain their hatred for the World Champion.

Jack Swagger:
I told you I would beat the Big Show and guess what... I did it. None of you unsupportive losers believed I could topple the giant and I did it with dominance by pinning him in the middle of the ring. 1. 2. 3!

The live crowd has started a ‘Big Show’ chant but Swagger immediately cuts them off.

Jack Swagger:
You want the Big Show? I’m sorry but he won’t be out here for at least an hour as he is still finishing his lunch. HA! HA! And by the way, I don’t remember the Big Oaf ever beating me in the ring or even earning his shot at MY World Heavyweight Championship since coming to MY brand. I’m pretty sure Teddy Long just gave him a shot because he felt sorry for him. And is it really fair that Teddy Long can just award anyone on the roster a shot at my World Championship?

Jack Swagger:
Wait, let me rephrase that. Yes it is because I don’t care who Teddy Long throws at me. So far I have beaten Matt Hardy, Christian, Edge, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and last but certainly not least the Big Show. And I will continue to take down anybody he throws at me whether they earn their shot or not. In my very short but accomplished career I have beaten the best of the best from both brands as YOUR World Heavyweight Champ-

Swagger’s microphone suddenly cuts out and he taps it apprehensively a few times while the crowd show their appreciation about not having to hear Swagger gloat anymore. After a few harsh words directed at the producers backstage, Swagger’s microphone switches back on and he continues his speech with delight spread across his face.

Jack Swagger:
Damn microphone ... as I was saying, at The Bash it doesn’t matter who my opponent is because I am the two time, two time All American American, World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. (Swagger lets out a huge sigh) And speaking of champions, my agent tells me that I have been booked in a match tonight against Kofi Kingston.

The Intercontinental Champion receives a huge pop.

Jack Swagger:
I was hoping Teddy Long would give me the night off for my fantastic performance on Sunday. And it seems like he has because Kofi isn’t even in my league!

The moment Swagger’s last sentence leaves his lips every single light in the arena simply goes out. However, everything seems to be back to normal as the power returns several seconds later. Grisham and Striker begin to chat about the mysterious power failure while Swagger begins to start talking again this time in disgust.

Jack Swagger:
Is this some kind of joke? I am the World Champion! I don’t deserve this kind of treatment. Whoever is pulling these juvenile pranks should be ashamed of themselves...

Swagger hurls his microphone to the mat in frustration and storms out of the ring with his World Title in tow.

Todd Grisham: We seem to have had some technical difficulties here on Smackdown but everything seems to be fine and we can now move on with the rest of the show.

Matt Striker:
And when we come back from this very short advertising break our first match of the evening will be taking place! Don’t go away!

*Commercial*

*This Fire Burns*

CM Punk makes his way to the ring flanked by the entire (known) Straight Edge Society bar one, its newest recruit, Rey Mysterio. Serena, Gallows and Punk all taunt the crowd in attendance about their latest pay per view victory before stepping into the squared circle in which Punk grabs a microphone from Tony Chimel.

CM Punk:
How sweet is to have another sheep join my flock? And do you know who it is. My guess is that you intoxicated Ohio morons were too drunk out of your minds to remember who it is. Or maybe you losers took part in a drug binge which caused you to forget the biggest occasion in Smackdown history. If that was the case, and I’m sure it was, let me refresh your memory. The newest member of the Straight Edge Society is none other, than Rey Mysterio. Although Mysterio is now officially one of use (he motions to both Gallows and Serena) there is still one little problem. He isn’t out here with the rest of his ‘family’. Now Rey you and I both know the contract we signed prior to our match at Over the Limit.

The heat for Punk is just astonishing and it continues throughout his entire promo.

CM Punk:
Now the document stat- would you idiots just shut up?!

More boos are just thrown down at the Straight Edge Society at Punk’s comment.

CM Punk:
As I was saying the document in which both of our signatures lie is one of great importance. You see Rey if you were the one who had your hand raised one Sunday night then I would no longer have a full head of hair and it would remain that way for an entire twelve months. But since I was the one who EARNED the victory you finally have to take responsibility for your actions. Thanks to the stipulations we agreed on, you must do whatever the Straight Edge Society does for the next year! That includes accompanying the SES to the ring, participating in matches on behalf of the SES and doing whatever I say. Because if you don’t you will be sued for everything you’ve got. And you wouldn’t want that Rey I can tell you that much. You wouldn’t want your beautiful wife Angie and your two gorgeous children Dominick and Aalyah without a morsel of food on the table. Or even worse, out on the street. So let’s start this alliance out on the right note, just get out here and watch the match with your new friends in the Straight Edge Society.

*Booyaka 619*

Rey Mysterio enters the arena to a huge ovation, but these cheers quickly die down as they notice Rey wearing an SES shirt. As Rey sets foot onto the ramp the music suddenly changes to a much sinister song, that of the Straight Edge Society. Even through his mask, anger and hate is noticeable in Mysterio’s eyes while *This Fire Burns* plays in the background. Rey begrudgingly steps into the ring without acknowledging any member of the SES, including CM Punk.

CM Punk:
Now that the gang is all here, I have another problem to address. (Punk turns toward the titantron area) John Morrison. You think you can just interfere in my matches whenever you please? Well the Straight Edge Society is going to teach you a very hard lesson tonight John, courtesy of Luke Gallows!

Todd Grisham:
Well besides Rey Mysterio, John Morrison has certainly been the biggest threat to date to the Straight Edge Society.

Matt Striker:
And I’m sure Gallows is chomping at the bit for a chance to get back at the man who took him out on Sunday!

*Ain’t No Make Believe*

The Shaman of Sexy is the next man through the curtain and he certainly has been on a role since the start of 2010. Morrison flicks back his flowing, brown hair and his world goes into slow motion while arrays of fireworks explode behind him. A small kid in the front row receives the souvenir to be very proud of, a pair of shades from the Guru of Greatness. When Morrison arrives in the ring he hands over his coat and necklace to the timekeeper, with his eyes on the SES the entire time, wary of an attack from behind. Gallows looks on towards Morrison with pure hatred streaked across his ugly features. The crowd begins to settle down and Morrison looks towards his opponent’s corner with unease at the site of three more enemies to be wary of.

Match 1 – Singles Match – Luke Gallows vs. John Morrison

The official rings the bell and the first match of the evening is underway as Morrison and Gallows begin to circle each other. Gallows takes the early advantage with a huge forearm shot to the back of Morrison followed by a swift boot to the gut and a barrage of punches. Gallows reigns down stomps to his opponent’s chiselled abdominal region and then looks over towards Punk, looking for approval. He doesn’t receive any, and Punk just looks on sternly, as Morrison starts to rise to a stable base. A sharp clothesline across Morrison’s face sends him straight back down to the canvas before Gallows puts his entire weight down across his adversary’s chest in a pinfall attempt. JoMo easily escapes from under the massive girth of Gallows but doesn’t get a single second to rest as he is immediately lifted to his feet. The First Detoxified Disciple scoops Morrison into his arms and The Friday Night Delight’s world turns upside down as he is lifted seven feet into the air and then slammed hard down onto the mat.

The middle rope receives a large jolt as the three hundred pound Gallows rebounds off them with force and his eyes fully set on Morrison. Gallows leaps forward and attempts a big splash but he lands on nothing but canvas! Multiple right hands meet the bald head of Gallows who is then whipped into the ropes and propelled right into a calf kick from Morrison. Morrison knocks Gallows off his feet with a textbook double leg takedown and unleashes forearm shot after forearm shot, and his frustration and anger over the past month, which sends Luke scrambling towards the ropes. Not a second after resting on the top rope, Gallows is thrown over and out of the ring with a stiff clothesline and lands onto the thinly veiled concrete on the outside. With Morrison’s confidence growing and Gallows stewing on the outside, Smackdown goes to a commercial break.

*Commercial*

Smackdown returns with Morrison hooking the leg of Gallows and gets the winning pinf- kick out by CM Punk’s right hand man! Gallows was just barely able to kick out and Morrison notices this and immediately knocks the big man back down with a picture perfect dropkick. The Shaman of Sexy retreats to the back corner and looks to set up for, and finish the match with, the Nitro Blast superkick! With the referee preoccupied with Gallow’s dire condition, Serena takes advantage and clamps onto Morrison’s leg as if her life depends on it. Eventually Morrison is able to push Serena off, but she was able to distract Morrison long enough for Gallows to recover and proceed to sandwich his opponent into the turnbuckle. Gallows doesn’t even give Morrison a chance to fall to the mat in pain because he continues his offensive roll with a devastating belly to back suplex. A legdrop across Morrison’s throat ends Gallows offensive onslaught before he covers Morrison but the match continues as John powers out!

In order to restrict Morrison’s high flying move-set Gallows wraps his enormous biceps around his adversary’s visceral area in an excruciating hold, in order to keep him grounded. After several moments in the debilitating manoeuvre Morrisons fights back with a multitude of back elbows and is finally able to break free from the hulking figure of Gallows with one final blast to his skull. Gallows tries to reel his opponent back into the hold by yanking on Morrison’s hair only to receive a swift bicycle kick to the mush! A clothesline sharply knocks down Gallows and then Morrison blasts him down again with a second lariat. Gallows lazily throws a right hand in Morrison’s direction which is easily ducked and the Shaman of Sexy follows it up with an STO backbreaker and then finishes off a flurry of offense with a side legsweep As Morrison raises his fist towards the sky he receives a huge ovation from the crowd before defying gravity with a standing shooting star press! The referee slowly gets towards the mat and begins to count... but Gallows is able to kick out and keep the match going. Morrison immediately rises to his feet, bringing Gallows with him, and cracks him in the chin with a European uppercut before throwing him face first into the top turnbuckle sending Gallows crumpling to the canvas. The Friday Night Delight climbs through the ropes and onto the apron and waits eagerly for Gallows to ri... but CM Punk launches himself onto the ring on the opposite of Morrison, dragging the official’s attention towards him. The moment Morrison jumps to springboard off of the top rope, the Anti Diva makes her presence in the match-up felt once more as she pushes Morrison part way through his manoeuvre, and he flies into the clutches of her fellow SES stable mate.
Gallows takes full advantage of the situation given to him and he throws his opponent over his back with a powerful fallaway slam. Luke doesn’t waste any time and launches his entire body weight into the air and compresses onto the rib cage off Morrison with a big splash. Gallows may have finally put the resilient Morrison away but HE MANAGES TO REACH OUT AND GRAB THE BOTTOM ROPE.

Gallows looks ready to pull his hair out, if he had any, after Morrison escaped another pinfall attempt! Gallows soon realises that the only thing that will allow him to pick up the victory is the use of his signature move, the Gallows Pole. Each member of the Straight Edge Society have elated looks plastered on their faces as Gallows hooks Morrison’s left arm over his own shoulder, looking to end the match once and for all. However Morrison manages to break free of the hold with a stiff shot to his adversary’s face and then creates some space by snapping off a quick hurricanrana. With Morrison beating Gallows at every turn Punk has finally had enough. He leaps onto the apron for the second time in the match and unleashes a verbal tirade upon his nearly three year rival, enough for Morrison to turn around and respond with his own insults. Unbeknown to the LA party boy, Gallows is up onto his feet and sprints towards Morrison. But Morrison realises with a split seconds notice and rolls out of the way leaving Gallows to charge right into his leader! Gallows fist is literally inches before CM Punk’s nose and Gallows lets out a sigh of relief and goes to apologise to CM-

But Morrison rolls him up and the referee pounds the mat three times in quick succession before leaving Morrison with the victory yet struggling to get to a stable base.

Winner: John Morrison (7:14)

But after stealing a win and then remaining in the ring whilst being surrounded by an enemy stable isn’t exactly a good spot for Morrison to be in. And this point is proved in full as CM Punk enters the squared circle and blasts Morrison with a running knee lift. The punishment doesn’t end there as an exhausted and bruised Morrison receives a sharp slap to the face thanks to Serena who then takes a short run up and sinks her boot right into JoMo’s gut. Morrison is then unceremoniously lifted to his feet is dumped straight back down onto the mat with a vicious Gallows Pole. An almost unconscious Morrison is lifted high above Gallow’s head and placed onto the shoulders of his messiah in preparation for the finishing touch, the GTS. But instead, with a maniacal look towards Rey Mysterio beside him, Punk places Morrison neck first on the second rope in perfect position for the luchador’s signature move. Punk points towards the prone body of Morrison lying on the ropes and signals for Rey to execute the 619. Mysterio refuses to perform the manoeuvre and stays glued to his spot until Punk mouths the words: ‘Do it for Angie’...

Mysterio takes a deep breath and then sprints towards Morrison, twists around the ropes and blasts him in the face with both of his feet! Rey immediately begins to walk up the ramp with the crowd in shock and Punk with a look of pure pleasure on his face. As Rey walks through the curtains tears are visible in his hazel eyes with the camera then heading to the backstage area.

The camera then arrives at a shot of Smackdown’s newest member Ashley Valence with a microphone in hand and fully ready for her first interview. Ashley looks dolled up for her first WWE appearance and is sporting a striking red dress and a smile straight from a Colgate advertisement.

Ashley Valence
: Please welcome, making his return to Smackdown, Matt Hardy!

Matt enters with a grin on his face and looks happy to be back on Smackdown.

Ashley Valence: Matt later tonight you have a match with a man you are very familiar with, Drew McIntyre. What are your thoughts going into this no-holds-barred encounter?

Matt Hardy: Well first of all welcome to Smackdown Ashley. (Ashley nods in thanks) My thoughts going into this match are very simple (the grin of Hardy’s face is soon gone). Plain and simple I am going to teach Drew McIntyre a lesson and a very harsh lesson at that. After tonight Drew is gonna’ wish he hadn’t even come to the WWE under Vince McMahon’s praise and false pretences of becoming a World Heavyweight Champion. I have been training hard in the gym for an entire month, just waiting for an opportunity to get in the ring with McIntyre. I interrupted his match on Sunday so that he would know that just because he beat me up and nearly ended my career, it doesn’t mean I am going to back down. I’m taking the fight right to him.

Ashley listens on intently, hanging on every word that leaves Hardy’s mouth.

Matt Hardy: Now a no-holds-barred match is one I am very familiar with. It isn’t going to be a technical masterpiece or a high flying spectacle. It’s going to be a brawl with months of aggression, frustration and anger being released onto each other. Closed fists will be flying, choking is allowed and even steel chairs are encouraged in this type of contest so parents out there watching right now listen up. The moment you hear my music blare out of the speakers I ask you, NO I beg you, do not let the sweet little angels next to you witness what I am willing and able to do to Drew McIntyre once that bell rings. Tonight, I’m taking down the Scotsman for good.

Matt Hardy hurriedly leaves towards his lockeroom and leaves Ashley staring after him.

Smackdown returns from commercials in a very big way. The Big Show is shown walking from the parking lot and heading for an unknown location looking pissed as all hell. Eventually arriving at his destination, Show angrily knocks on a plain wooden door. The door of General Manger Teddy Long!

Teddy Long:
Come in!

Show almost blasts the meagre door of its hinges as he charges in to meet with his boss.

Big Show:
(slightly out of breath) I demand a rematch with Jack Swagger!

Teddy Long: I’m sorry playa’ but I just can’t award you another title shot.

Big Show:
And why is that!

Teddy Long:
As much as I hate to say it Swagger pinned you.

Big Show:
But he hit me in the head with the title belt!

Teddy Long: I know, I know. But it’s too late for me reverse the decision ruled by the referee. And I have already named a new number one conte-

Big Show:
WHO!?

Teddy Long:
You’re just going to have to wait till I announce it to the world later tonight. And Show I know you are still quite angry about Sunday night. (Show nods his head) So I have booked you in a match for later tonight which I hope will let you vent some of that aggression that is still lurking inside of you.

Teddy Long:
So I suggest going and getting ready for that right now.

Big Show leaves Teddy’s office looking as angry as he came in.

**

The camera then turns to a shot of veteran ring announcer Tony Chimel standing in the middle of the ring.

Tony Chimel:
Ladies and gentleman please welcome the Co-Womens Champions, Lay-Cool!

*Not Enough For Me*

The pair of Michelle McCool and Layla enters through the curtain and are looking stunning even in wrestling attire. Both perform a choreographed routine before showing the entire crowd and the folks watching at home that they are flawless with the display on their back. Their Womens Championships gleam in the bright lights of the arena and the duo aren’t shy about showing off their titles to each member of the WWE Universe that they pass on the way to squared circle.

Matt Striker:
Well my little English muffin Layla and the most dominant Diva in WWE history Michelle McCool have arrived and you know business is about to pick up.

Todd Grisham:
Lay-Cool seems to be ready for in-ring action but I don’t believe they are booked to compete on Smackdown tonight.

Matt Striker:
Show some respect Todd! These are the Womens Champions you are talking and if Lay-Cool wants to be out in the ring tonight they have every right!

By this time Layla and Michelle have already swiped a pair of microphones from Tony Chimel while the crowd show their disdain towards the champions.

Michelle McCool:
Ew! Look at that one Lay! (McCool points towards a rather large member of the audience in the front row) Oh my! And that guy over there! (she once again out another member of the WWE Universe) I knew Cleveland was far from perfection but at least they could look presentable when they go out in public. They buy tickets to see the most dominant champions in WWE history and they come out looking like that?!

Layla:
(taps McCool on the shoulder) We still got to do our announcement remember...

Michelle McCool:
Yes but check out that family sitting in the front row they are just dis-

Layla
: Michelle!

Michelle McCool: Ok then...

Both:
Real talk!

Michelle:
We have been champions for about a month now and it certainly has been a golden area in women wrestling ever since .And because of that, I kinda’ feel sorry for the rest of the divas here on Smackdown. Because Lay-Cool holds the gold there is absolutely nobody who stands a chance at taking them off us. So Layla and I got to thinking of an idea that would allow some of these less talented...

Layla:
And don’t forgot less beautiful!

Michelle McCool:
I was getting to that... and less beautiful divas on Smackdown a chance at our title.

Layla: And we have officially gotten the consent of Smackdown’s Official Consultant and our very own resident cougar (Layla and McCool growl at each other) Vickie Guerrero!

The heat is deafening for the mere mention of Vickie Guerrero.

Michelle McCool:
That’s right Lay, as of tonight we are starting the Lay-Cool Invitational! Any diva can participate and if they are able to beat either myself or Layla on an edition of Smackdown they will earn a shot at the gold at the next pay-per-view.

Layla:
And don’t forget the most important part Michelle.

Michelle McCool: But when a diva loses a match in the Lay-Cool Invitational they will never...

Layla:
Never!

Michelle McCool: Ever!

Layla:
Ever!

Michelle McCool: Receive a shot at the Womens Championship while we are still holding the gold!

Layla and Michelle both smile and congratulate each other on their fantastic idea.

Michelle: So if anyone believes they can beat us and want to take the risk just come on out!

*Insatiable*

It seems that it is Tiffany who is the first diva to accept the invitational and she is desperately trying to wrap tape around her wrists while she walks to the ring, seemingly unaware she would be competing tonight. Her ever faithful friend Kelly Kelly is nowhere to been seen as the perky New Orleans native steps through the ropes and looks to capitalize on the opportunity of a lifetime. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring Layla and McCool are playing ‘scissors, paper, rock’ in order to decide who will participate in the take part in the match. A small pink graphic appears at the bottom of the screen as Michelle McCool exits the ring and it seems it is Layla who will be competing tonight. Layla steps forward and immediately gets in Tiffany’s face and with taunts and insults until...

Match 2 – Singles Match – Layla El vs. Tiffany (Lay-Cool Invitational)

the referee calls for the bell and the match is underway! Tiffany suddenly rushes towards her opponent and reels off a big knee shot directly into Layla’s gut. Layla is taken by surprise with a pair of forearm shots to the face but she is able to fight back by reversing her opponent’s irish whip attempt. After sending Tiffany into the ropes, Layla bends forward in anticipation for a back body drop but is instead rolled over and caught in a sunset flip. Tiffany looks to go to The Bash in quick fashion but Layla gets her shoulders up just in time! The Womens Champion is sent to the mat with a quick armdrag and then has her flailing left arm caught in an armbar as she makes her way to her feet. Layla tries to create as much room as possible between herself and her opponent and pushes her adversary back into the ropes only to be crunched by a stiff shoulder block by a rebounding Tiffany.
Layla looks to have a quick breather on the outside beside her BFF but only seconds after leaving the ring, Tiffany yanks on her long, flowing hair and throws her right back in. While on the mat Layla begins to squeal in agony after having her hair pulled and the officials completely buys into the charade. With the referee’s back turned Michelle takes full advantage and blasts Tiffany in the back of the head with a huge kick, sending her sprawling through the ropes and into the ring. Having paid her part in the act, Layla quickly launches to her feet and unleashes a series of European uppercuts followed by a slick dropkick right into her opponent’s face. Layla looks to put Tiffany away as she hooks the outside leg but the blonde bombshell powers out and keeps the match alive. The feisty young Englishwoman stomps away at any exposed body part that she can before dropping a knee across Tiffany’s nose.

Layla places her opponent against the corner and takes a few steps in the opposite direction and then with a wink towards her partner she sprints at Tiffany and LANDS HEAD FIRST INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Tiffany launches back with a clothesline into the corner and then hooks the head of Layla and drives it into the mat with a bulldog. Layla looks to be out cold as Tiffany covers her but she sneaks her right shoulder out from under the mat before the official can count to three. Tiffany lifts Layla to her feet before scooping her into her arms and slamming her down onto the canvas. She then motions towards the top turnbuckle indicating that she is going to implement some high risk offense into the contest. After traversing the top rope Tiffany stands tall and then launches herself at Layla, looking to pull off the surprise victory. But the young diva meets nothing but canvas on the way down as the resourceful Layla ducks under the attack just in time! Taking full advantage of a wounded opponent, Layla plants Tiffany onto her shoulder with a vicious Layout. Layla gingerly crawls on top of Tiffany for the cover and instructs the referee to count to three which he does with ease.

Winner: Layla (4:32)

Michelle enters the ring as if she had never done a single misdeed in her life, let alone during that the match, and embraces her partner. Lay-Cool raise their title belts high into the air and quickly retreat up towards the entrance ramp while their music plays in the background. The pair of Lay-Cool exchange glances with each other before they look towards the ring at Tiffany, who is slowly getting her wits about her, as if to say ‘one down’. None other than Vickie Guerrero enters the area to a barrage of abuse from the crowd so that she may raise both Layla and Michelle’s arms in victory.

*Black Fury*

The atmosphere certainly changes once Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer arrive on the scene. After receiving full time contracts only several days ago the team are ready to officially make an impact on Smackdown. The brooding figure of Archer slowly walks to the ring while his partner sprints ahead and clambers onto the top rope in order to pose to the crowd. Once both member of the villainous tandem are in the ring they both stand side by side watching the titantron and eagerly awaiting their next challenge.

*Bringin’ Da Hood T U*

With a pair of ripped jeans and a whole lot of energy, JTG exits the curtain to a nice ovation from the Ohio crowd. He makes sure he slaps each and every hand that is extended to him before stopping a foot from the ring knowing just as well what would happen if he entered the squared circle solo while the Gatecrashers are present. Although a pre match routine is usually reserved for the ring JTG proceeds to dance right in front of the menacing team and succeeds in infuriating them further. Hawkins looks ready to smack JTG right in his smiling face until...

*I Am Perfection*

To the shock of the crowd and the announcers alike, JTG’s partner is revealed to be Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler doesn’t have his usual air of confidence about him and looks quite angry to be paired up with someone such as JTG. As Ziggler struts past his tag team partner for the night, he ignores JTG’s extended hand and instead runs his fingers through his bleached blonde hair. The arrogant young man from Miami then throws his jacket towards the timekeeper and takes his position on the ring apron, seemingly motioning for JTG to start the match.

Matt Striker:
This is an outrage! An athlete the calibre of Dolph Ziggler should not be forced to pair up with a guy like JTG. You can just tell by the look on his face that he doesn’t want to be here. Dolph should be having title matches right now, not teaming with lower grade performers.

Match 3 – Tag Team Match - The Gatecrashers vs. JTG and Dolph Ziggler

The two smaller men from each team start the match up and immediately lock up in the middle of the ring. JTG manages to slip behind Hawkins and unleash a sharp shot to his back which sends him reeling towards his own corner. Hawkins consoles with Archer for a few moments rushing right back into the fray only to be tripped by the crafty JTG who then delivers a boot to his opponent’s jaw. The young man from Brooklyn then carries Hawkins towards his corner and places out his hand for Ziggler to tag. Dolph stares at his partner’s palm for a split second before apprehensively slapping it and then stepping through the ropes and into the ring. JTG seems quite pleased that his partner is cooperating and then watches as Ziggler drops a huge elbow into Hawkin’s back who then follows it up by hooking his opponent’s leg in a pinfall attempt. Hawkins easily escapes but the moment he does, he is caught in a tight headlock by the aggressive Ziggler. Hawkins is once again able to escape from Ziggler but the moment he does he is levelled by a swift dropkick to the mush. With another look towards JTG, Ziggler drags Hawkins by his boot towards his friendly corner and tags in his partner who happily rushes into the match and blasts Hawkins in the skull with a clothesline whilst doing so with a huge grin spread across his face. Hawkins tries to muster up some offense and swings at the prancing JTG but his hand is caught, twisted behind his own back and then dropped sharply downwards in a cutthroat backbreaker. With JTG playing up the crowd Hawkins is able to take advantage with a sharp elbow to his opponent’s jaw and then proceeds to bounce off the ropes. But Ziggler is too quick for him and trips his legs up from the outside, sending him face first into the canvas and JTG quickly takes advantage with a flipping neckbreaker!

Ziggler enters the match for the second time and lines up an attack from behind of Hawkins while JTG waits from the front. The moment Hawkins gains a steady base he is clocked in the mouth with a stiff punch from JTG before wandering backwards into the clutches of Ziggler and is then slammed onto his front with an inverted powerslam. Ziggler cockily goes into the cover without hooking a single limb and this allows Hawkins to sneak out before the three count.

Ziggler throws his hands through his flowing hair and deposits the sweat onto the fallen Hawkins who is on his hands and knees trying to get to his partner. Ziggler drops his leg across Hawkins’ neck which sends his face directly into the canvas and then follows up this manoeuvre with a tag to JTG. After being scooped into Ziggler’s arms, Hawkins is slammed to the mat with force before having the full body weight of JTG land on top of his chest, driving the air out of his lungs. JTG hooks both legs but Hawkins manages to weasel out again, much to the dismay of Ziggler, who begins to argue with the official. With Hawkins completely out of energy and lying prone on the mat, JTG looks to apply the finishing touches. He sprints towards the ropes, and with the referee preoccupied with Ziggler’s whining, JTG gets blasted in the back of the head with a big right hand from Archer. Hawkins takes the opportunity presented to him and leaps towards his corner and tags in his partner, the formidable human tramp stamp himself, Vance Archer. Vance rains down stomps, punches and almost anything he can in order to wear down his much smaller opponent. After a quick glance at Hawkins, and realising that his partner is slightly incapacitated, Archer decides that he is going to do most of the damage on JTG for the time being. JTG is hoisted in Archer’s arms and then thrown over head like a ragdoll, eat your heart out John Layfield, by a powerful fallaway slam. Vance seems very confident and throws a cocky smile towards Hawkins and turns around to end the mat- but he gets rolled up from behind by JTG! 1... 2... Archer powers out with a millisecond to spare!

JTG tries to immediately fire back at his much larger opponent but only receives a pair of hands around his throat. After choking JTG for a brief moment in his huge clamp like mitts, Archer drops his hips and launches his adversary over his head and directly into the corner turnbuckles! A moment after quick tagging in his partner, Archers drags JTG to his feet before quickly rolling off a snapmare allowing Hawkins to rush forward and ‘crack JTG in da mouth’. Hawkins kicks JTG directly in the gut before setting him up directly under the turnbuckle by clipping him over the head with a right hand shot. With JTG incapacitated, Hawkins quickly ascends to the sky via the turnbuckle and turns his sights directly on JTG’s chest, preparing for an elbow. Hawkins glances towards Archer and broad smiles spread across both of their faces as they realise that victory is well in their grasp before Hawkins leaps out off the turnbuckle, his elbow positioned for the kill. But JTG is able to roll out of the way of the diving elbow and inches closer and closer towards his friendly corner with Ziggler stretching out his arm and urging his partner to make the tag. But the young man from Brooklyn absorbed a hell of a lot of offense and it has taken its toll, as JTG still a good foot away from Ziggler. JTG stretches out his hand for the tag and is just inches away from Zig... but he has his foot suddenly yanked away by Hawkins. JTG quickly retaliates and pushes Hawkins free from his leg before turning towards Ziggler and proceeds to leap out and tag in the fresh man. However, as JTG soars through the air, Ziggler has already jumped off the apron, leaving his tag team partner for the night on his own against two aggressive and violent men. The WWE Universe are furious at Ziggler for abandoning JTG, but Dolph just laps it up, enjoying every second of their jeers. JTG realises that he is in deep shit and swivels around only to receive a big boot to the face from Vance Archer which almost causes his head to snap of his neck. Archer immediately puts JTG out of his misery with a vicious inverted DDT which he has named the Game Over. While Hawkins looks on gleefully, Archer covers the outside leg and the official delivers the three count.

Winners:
The Gatecrashers (8:02)

The bell tolls and the official raises both hands of the victorious tag team but Hawkins decides the punishment he dished out during the match wasn’t enough as he begins to deliver hard stomps onto JTG’s chest with Archer soon joining in. Under Hawkins’ directions, Archer lifts up JTG into his arms before throwing him down hard onto the canvas with a spinning side slam so that Curt can finish what he started. Hawkins clambers the ropes and as he stands on the top turnbuckle with a cocky smile on his face he- gets booted in the face and goes flying to the concrete on the outside. Archer responds to the attacker but only receives a pair of right hands to the face and a huge clothesline which sends him to the outside. It is only then that the man turns to face the camera and reveals himself to be Shad Gaspard! Hawkins tries to regain a small of measure of revenge on Shad but as he comes charging in he gets caught and then gets nailed into the mat with an STO!
After looking around at the carnage he has caused Shad lifts his former partner, who is visibly hurt, to his feet and looks directly in his eyes. Shad lifts his right hand into the air but instead of striking JTG he pulls him tightly into an embrace, much to the delight of the crowd. Smackdown goes to commercial with Shad motioning for JTG to follow him up towards the ramp and into the backstage area.

In the year Twenty-Eleven, the beginning of a new professional wrestling federation is born. The professional wrestling industry is doing great business. WWE is having sell out shows all over the world, and the TNA-Impact Wrestling brand is also doing well. It was time to add a third company into the big leagues and create a new fan base. Some of the very best wrestlers in the industry, not currently signed to any of the big organisations, have joined to put together the greatest assembly of in ring action ever seen. With the other promotions burdened by constant politics, the new company represents a new opportunity for the best to rise to the top. The landscape of the industry is about to be changed forever!

The greatest action, the biggest stars, the ultimate spectacle is upon the wrestling world….

Signed for the main event for the blockbuster super card PRIME, two of the biggest names in pro-wrestling history will go to war to see who really is the man in the wrestling industry….

Goldberg versus Batista

Goldberg has not competed in some time, however has been training hard ever since he put ink to paper. The powerhouse former WCW and WWF World Champion is known as the most powerful man ever seen inside a wrestling ring. He has defeated everyone who he has ever faced. Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Sting, Macho Man, DDP, the Giant, The Rock, HHH and Brock Lesnar.

He won his first World title during his undefeated streak and set the industry on fire with his Spear and Jackhammer finishers which have always led to a victory. Goldberg is back and is part of PWGP.

Batista started his career as the enforcer for one of the most successful stables in the history of the business. It was here where Batista learnt from the Nature Boy Ric Flair and the Game Triple H and became one of the fiercest competitors ever to step foot inside the squared circle. His deadly sit-out Powerbomb has overcome some of the best in the industry such as John Cena, The Undertaker, Randy Orton and even his mentors.

Batista craves the spotlight and has signed to PWGP to be known as the greatest of all time. “The Beast” has one target in mind, Goldberg. And in front of millions of people watching around the world live on pay per view, Batista plans on putting down Goldberg and proving to the world there is only one top guy in the sport, and it’s him.

images

Goldberg: I’m here in PWGP because it is the very best talent ever assembled and I plan on going through all of them to win the PWGP. Now it seems to reason that the debut show of PWGP, Prime has to have the very best card to blow away the fans and make sure they know this is where the action is, this is where the best wrestlers in the world are. And that’s why I’ve signed in my return match to take on the biggest and the baddest, Dave Batista.

Batista, you are a multi-time World Champion, you every bit as bad as what they say. But it’s real simple boy. You’re Next!

images

Batista: I’m next? That’s what he said? Huh? No Bill Goldberg is the one who’s next. You see his scalp is going to be the crown jewel in my career. In one match, I will show the world I am the very best by putting him down. At Prime, I’ll destroy Goldberg, have fun doing it and get paid big time for it. See you soon Bill.

The hype going into PWGP’s debut show was unbelievable. The financial backers for this federation are obviously on par with WWE and TNA. The stage area, ring side, pyro and production values were all brilliant, as management obviously wanted to make a statement and say from the start, they are a major player. The super card was a real hard hitting strong style affair as current big names not currently signed by any wrestling organisation, tore the house down. The talent on show are all superstars and ti looks like to show their previous employers just how good they really are inside the squared circle.

The show was a success and truly has changed the landscape of pro wrestling, as there is indeed a third player in the industry. The huge pay days from the buy rate has secured the top names for more shows and after the results of PRIME, wrestling fans will be indeed ready to follow the product as it has set up yet another strong main event dream match possibility.

The opening video centres around the main event and the unstoppable force will meet the immovable object. Goldberg vs. Batista, who will win? However the stars on the show came off as real superstars. Lashley, Giant Bernard, MVP, Masters, Desmond Wolfe, O’Haire, Brown, Benjamin and Helms all looked like they could take on the world in this ppv and showed what they could do inside a ring.

PRIME 1The show opened with cruiserweight action as the Canadian Destroyer Petey Williams faced off against the Amazing Red. In an innovative and high flying match, that brought the fans to their feet, Red looking to finish in style looks for an infra red cork screw splash, but Williams has the presence of mind to lift his knees driving them into Red’s ribs. Williams then delivered the sick flipping pile-driver, the Canadian Destroyer to win the match.

Petey Williams (W) vs. The Amazing Red (L)
9:23
Williams beat Red via pinfall using the Canadian Destroyer

PRIME 2
The second match for PWGP: PRIME, was two guys that looked like they just stepped out of a comic book! The Alpha Male Monty Brown went head to head with the Berserker Sean O’Haire. Both guys used power to try and take the other down in an impressive display, but O’Haire was an absolute monster and used the advantage of his high flying skills and used the Seanton Bomb to gain himself the victory.

Sean O’Haire (W) vs. Monty Brown (L)
8:58
O’Haire defeated Brown via pinfall with the Windowmaker / Seanton Bomb combo

PRIME 3
The next match is a triple threat showcasing wrestling’s die hard fan favourites. Low Ki vs. Sabu vs. Jushin Thunder Liger! All three men use what they are known for to dominate the match. Sabu with his brawling and high flying, Low Ki with his strong style martial arts and Liger with his technical high flying moves. All three men go to the air to try and bring each other down. There are plenty of saves as each men pour it on, but in the end it’s a Warrior’s way double foot stomp to Sabu from Low Ki that sees the youngest man in the fight get the victory.

Low Ki (W) vs. Sabu (L) vs. Jushin Thunder Liger (L)
13:33
Low Ki pinned Sabu after the Warrior’s Way to win the triple threat

PRIME 4
The last match had wet the appetites for the high flying and the next match catered for it. Shelton Benjamin, who some say is one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers in the world took on pound for pound one of the very best in Hurricane Shane Helms. These two men showed the world how good they are and pulled out moves never seen before from either man. Both men refused to be pinned as they hit each other with everything until Benjamin hit a flying clothesline on Helms who flew off the ropes and followed it up with a wrist clutch exploder suplex for the win.

Shelton Benjamin (W) vs. Hurricane Shane Helms (L)
18:05
Benjamin pinned Helms via Exploder Suplex

After the match an interview takes place on a stage area next to the commentary position. It is with David Hart-Smith. He is dressed in a suit and he talks about being signed to PWGP on a lucrative contract. He talks about his heritage, being trained in the Dungeon and that he will be the better than the best. He has the strength and speed of his father and the technical genius and ring savvy of his uncle. He then says, that he will be the standard bearer of the business as he has all the experience and coaching from his family that will give him the edge. He then takes off his jacket and shows off how tall he is and how he is a giant amongst men and that he has youth on his side. He reiterates that he is better than the best and next month he will show the world exactly that.

PRIME 5
The next match is a tag team affair pitting the flair and power of MVP and Chris Masters against the brutality and force of Bison Smith and Mike Knox. MVP and Masters had a smart game plan and used quick tags, while the powerhouses in Knox and Smith looked to try and hurt their opponents. They were vicious, but Masters and MVP brought the fans to their feet with a great fight back and while MVP was able to keep Bison on the floor, Masters trapped Knox with the Master Lock. Master’s strength is amazing as he submits the larger man with an amazing show of power.

MVP and Chris Masters (W) vs. Bison Smith and Mike Knox (L)
12:19
Masters submitted Knox with the Master Lock

PRIME 6
The veteran high flying heavyweight 2 Cold Scorpio took on the British technical genius Demond Wolfe in the next bout. Scorpio thrilled the crowd with his high impact high flying moves, but Wolfe was able to ground him, stretch him and hit him at will. Almost like a surgeon Wolfe dissected Scorpio, and although he fought back valiantly at the end, Wolfe was simply always two steps ahead. Scorpio looked for the tumbleweed but Wolfe allowed him to climb to the top rope and then crotched him on the top and finished him with the Tower of London.

Desmond Wolfe (W) vs. 2 Cold Scorpio (L)
13:28
Wolfe beat Scorpio via pinfall with the Tower of London

PRIME 7
The co-main event for the evening was the clash of the titans as the Herculean Bobby Lashley went against the monstrous Giant Bernard. Both men looked to use thir power to take the other down, but Lashley’s speed gave him the advantage. But the Giant monster would not fall so easily and fought back with a huge big boot pump kick putting Lashley down and swinging the match in his favour. Lashley though fought back and looked to finish Bernard with the Dominator, but Bernard shifted his weight and countered it with the Bernard Driver (Greetings from Asbury Park). But miraculously Lashley kicked out! Bernard then threw Bobby into the corner and drove his shoulder into the solar plexes of Lashley, but all of a sudden he is caught in a Guillotine choke. Lashley drags him out to the centre of the ring and shockingly the big man is forced to tap!

Bobby Lashley (W) vs. Giant Bernard (L)
14:53
Lashley defeated Bernard via Guillotine choke submission

Lashley though was extremely hurt from the beating he took, and Bernard who was shocked that he was forced to tap, took it out on his opponent. He drills Lashley with a punt kick to the head and then hits him with the Baldo Bomb. The big man is irate and the referee dives out of the ring as Bernard was half a second away from doing it to him also.

PRIME MAIN EVENT
The crowd were on their feet as these two big time mega-stars made their way to the ring with spectacular entrances. Batista arrived with explosions while Goldberg emerges from fire and breathing smoke as the ring announcer made the official introductions.

When the bell rang these two super humans went after each other with everything they had in their arsenals. It was like Superman vs. Superman as both men could not be put down by the other as they refused to fall. But eventually the heavy salvos each man was firing started to take their toll and Goldberg looked to end the fight with an arm bar submission. Batista was able to escape and fight back hitting a powerslam and then several running clotheslines before shaking the ropes and putting the thumbs down to finish Goldberg.

Batista Bomb connects and the ref slaps the mat, but Berg lifts the shoulder at 2 and 9/10ths and Batista cannot believe it. He gets in the referee’s face and even man handles him pushing him over. In his mind it was three and the ref had cost him a huge pay day. Batista turns but is cut in half by the infamous Goldberg spear! But the Batista Bomb took too much out of Goldberg to capitalise and both men are down. The ref makes the count and gets to 9 as both men get to their feet and exchange blows. They are both dazed and Batista runs the ropes to hit a clothesline but Goldberg ducks and the Super-Beast takes out the ref! Ref bump!!!

Batista turns again into another spear as the fans go ballistic and Goldberg pulls him to his feet for the Jackhammer. But suddenly a huge man jumps the guard rails. Jackhammer connects but Goldberg awaiting the ref’s count is instead hit by a mack truck in the form of Big Van Vader! The fans boo as Vader hits a powerbomb on Goldberg and then leaves ringside. The ref finally comes to and Batista puts his arm over Goldberg. 1..2… kick out!! Goldberg kicks out!

Batista grabs Goldberg and hits another Batista Bomb! 1…2.. Goldberg kicks out again! Batista can’t believe it. He waits for Goldberg to get to his feet under his own power and Batista hits a spear of his own. Batista Bomb!!!! 1…2…3!

Batista (W) vs. Goldberg (L)
22:17
Batista defeated Goldberg via three Batista Bombs

Batista is congratulated by PWGP officials and given a huge silver cup as Goldberg is helped to the back by his corner team. Cameras flash all over the arena to capture images of the victor. Commentary team poses questions over if Vader and Batista were working together, or if officials will rule on what transpired with the controversial finish. Did Batista even know Vader had attacked Goldberg? In the next few days many answers of these questions may come to light.

Once again it is time for another history making event from TNA as Sacrifice transitions from the video package into a live shot of the impact zone in Orlando Florida. The audience is packed in and full of excitement. The Impact Zone has been designed in PPV fashion with Sacrifice banners hanging down from the roof top. The camera moves around to show some of the fans holding signs such as “We Want Hogan”, “FORTUNE > TNA”, “Anderson Suxs” and even “SMARK” throughout the audience. After showing the enthusiastic crowd in the arena TNA’s presentation moves over to the announce table where Mike Tenay and Don West will be calling all of the action for Sacrifice tonight.

Mike Tenay: It is time ladies and gentleman for TNA to once again enter your homes live on pay per view. It’s a night about pushing yourself to the limit for our TNA superstars. Tonight is Sacrifice and joining me here to call all the action is my long-time co-host Don West. We are here to call all the incredible action tonight and like always I’m positive it is going to deliver.

Don West: Excitement is in the air. The fans are all packed in and it’s because of times like these. It’s because once again Don West is back on pay per view for another event presented by Don West Promotions in conjunction with TNA to present Sacrifice. With that said I can’t wait to see my man Mr Anderson capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the first time ever. It’s a night of change Tenay and I can’t wait.

Mike Tenay: Well as my partner has already alluded to AJ Styles will defend his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against the up and coming Mr Anderson in tonight’s main event. It’s the match up that has the entire wrestling world talking about TNA and the result of that match. So much has been said during the build-up to this contest and finally we will get to see how things unfold when all the talk is put to an end. Tonight that match comes down to nothing but skill inside of the ring and how far someone will push to get the most converted prize in professional wrestling.

Don West: This is why I love being here on pay per view Tenay, it’s live and anything can happen. You can’t go online and find out the results of the matches, you have to be here or watching this at home live. It’s the most exciting form of entertainment in the world and with everything we have on the card tonight, especially AJ Styles and Mr Anderson, I’m sure it will deliver just like it does every other time.

Mike Tenay: Let’s not undersell the other matches on the card as we will see the pay per view return of ‘Instant Classic’ Christian Cage when he teams with Jeff Hardy to face off against Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. It’s being billed as the blockbuster tag team match of the year and it is easy to see why. These four men all have World Championships under their belt and for me this is one of the most intriguing matches of the night because of all the different factors going into it.

Don West: Of course it is. Any time you have Christian Cage inside of the ring you know it is a must see. I mean, it’s the instant classic of professional wrestling Tenay. The real question is can Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle get along to defeat the team of Hardy and Cage. We already saw Joe and Angle lose this past week to British Invasion and that was when they seemed to be on equal ground. Now it seems that Samoa Joe has no intention of working with Angle at all.

Mike Tenay: It sure going to be a crazy night ladies and gentleman and with that said it is time to go to the ring where Jeremy Borash is standing by for the first contest of the night. Don, are you ready?

Don West: Let’s get this show on the road already Tenay!

Excitement fills the air as the camera shifts to the front view of the ring where Jeremy Borash stands holding a microphone. Borash takes a deep breath and then begins.

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and gentleman it is time for your opening contest of Sacrifice. It is scheduled for one fall… and is for the X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP!

*Rock Superstar*

The Impact Zone gives a warm reception to one of the most exciting competitors in TNA, the one and only, Amazing Red. The man with the Mohawk runs out onto the top of the stage and begins to jump up and down. Full of anticipation Red sticks his arms out and runs down to the ring while touching the hands of some of the lucky fans. Red glides through the ring ropes, quickly rolls forward and nips up onto his feet before climbing onto the turnbuckle and spreading his arms wide open.

Jeremy Borash: Introducing first the challenger… from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in tonight at one hundred and fifty pounds… AMAZING RED!

Don West: Red better not think that all this playing to the crowd stuff is going to win him the title tonight. He’s not facing some chump, he’s facing the champion. Kazarian isn’t someone you take lightly and I think Red believes that this little fairy tale ride he is on will lead him to the title and all its glory. Red better aim up tonight if he wants any chance at hanging with Kazarian.

Mike Tenay: I don’t think Red is taking anyone lightly Don, it’s about giving the fans the experience. Red has been a roll the past few weeks and I could very well see him become the new X Division Champion.

Don West: Don’t say such things. Could you imagine what TNA would be like if Kazarian lost the title? It wouldn’t be the same.

Mike Tenay: Some might say it would be better.

Don West: Idiots, complete idiots would be the only people to say that Tenay.

Red then jumps down from the turnbuckle and makes his way into the middle of the ring. With the focus still on him Red motions to his waist and makes the championship outline. While on camera Red can be seen mouthing “this is my time, I’m taking that title home with me” as he awaits the arrival of Kazarian. The music stops for Red but no appearance by Kazarian follows. The stage is empty and this leaves Red wondering what is happening. The challenger looks around, making sure that Kaz doesn’t sneak up, but he finds no reason to believe that an attack is coming. Is Kazarian late or is he playing mind games with Red…

“FORTUNE FOUR”

*Fortune 4*

It would seem that Kazarian was playing mind games as he now makes his entrance. With the title on the line tonight Kazarian has some back up in the form of ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair being by his side and he will be at ringside during this contest. Unlike in the past tonight Kazarian is a little more aggressive and he wastes no time in heading down to the ring. Kaz unclips the title belt, passes it to Flair and enters the ring by stepping up and steps and through the ropes. Champion and challenger share the ring for the first time since two weeks ago on Impact and things are sure to explode soon enough.

Jeremy Borash: And from Anaheim, California, weighing in tonight at two hundred and fifteen pounds, representing Fortune, he is the reigning and defending X Division Champion… KAZ-AR-I-AN!

Mike Tenay: Go on Don, tell us all about how good Kazarian is and how he’s the future of TNA. I’m sure you’re just chopping at the bit to get going about him.

Don West: Mike, I’m shocked! I am an unbiased commentator and a true professional. I would never tell you about the countless hours Kazarian has put in to get in the physical shape he has. I would not talk about how Ric Flair has done an amazing job at crafting Kazarian into a lethal weapon in the X Division. I find it a little insulting that you, Mr Professor, would accuse me of sucking up to the legendary group known as Fortune.

Mike Tenay: Well even with my partner blinded by Fortune, I think it is clear that Kazarian does have a challenge here tonight. He’s been unable to beat Amazing Red leading up to this event and he was pinned by the challenger just two weeks ago during the main event of Impact in what I called an upset because of the success of Kazarian as of late. I think this is going to be a much closer contest then what you are making it out to seem Don.

Don West: What you fail to mention Tenay is that Ric Flair will be at ringside during this contest. He isn’t going to allow Red to leave this building with the title. You can try and keep him under control but nobody can stop Ric Flair. He’s the dirtiest player in the game for a reason.

The official has to get in between Kaz and Red becomes the champion lunges forward with an air swing to get some of his challenger. The official holds Kaz back until he cools down and steps back with Ric Flair. The X Division Championship is handed from Flair to the official and it is held up high in the air. Slowly the official turns around and shows the crowd what these two men will be fighting over tonight. The big red X shines bright against the lights before being handed to Jeremy Borash who exits out of the ring with the title in hand. Are you ready? With Borash now on the outside, the official looks to Amazing Red and asks if he is ready to which he replies yes, the same is done with Kazarian and simply nods. Everything is set and the official signals for the bell and the start of the opening contest!

11qmoso.png

X Division Championship Match:
X Division Champion Kazarian v. Amazing Red

The night has truly begun and the crowd are so excited to finally have this match underway. With the bell sounding in the background Kazarian and Amazing Red both step forward and are ready for the battle that awaits them. To start Kazarian throws a low kick to try and catch Red standing but the high flyer isn’t standing in any one position for too long tonight. Kazarian comes forward and tries to get a hold of Red but the challenger steps back and fires off a kick with strikes Kazarian sharply in the side of the arm. It’s a stinger as Kazarian steps backward but he gets no time to recovery as Amazing Red pounces forward like a cat. Up in the air goes Red and he strikes hard with a forearm to send Kazarian back into the ropes. In comes the challenger – KAZARIAN COUNTERS- up goes Red over the top rope – HIS FOOT MISSES THE APRON AND HE SLIPS DOWN TO THE FLOOR. Unfortunately Red’s game changing save he pulled off on Impact failed to work tonight and he now finds himself on the outside of the ring and hurt. After successfully pulling off his counter Kazarian slides to the outside of the ring and goes right after Red. Kazarian lays in a few kicks to the body before grabbing Red by the head and dragging him over to the apron of the ring. One… Two… the official begins to count inside the ring and he has a count of ten to work with before he has to end the match. With the count only at two Kazarian isn’t worried about it and he punches Red in the head while pushing him against the hard apron. Kazarian continues to strike as the count heightens: Three… Four… Five…

The count is getting to the final part of ten and now Kazarian looks toward Flair for some advice. This little lapse in offense by Kaz allows Red to push the champion away. Red then comes forward, knees Kaz in the stomach, back peddles into the ring to break the count, grab hold of the top rope – AND RED LAUNCHES HIMSELF OVER THE TOP ROPE – NO – HE FAKES AND LANDS SAFELY ON THE APRON OF THE RING. Kaz however reacts early and he braces for impact thinking Red is crashing down on top of him. With Red safely on the apron Flair can be heard screaming at the top of his lungs for Kazarian to move but he must not have heard him because Kaz does not move. Red pulls back on the rope and then pushes up… BACK FLIPPING ONTO KAZARIAN AND IT TAKES BOTH MEN OUT! The crowd is cheering very loudly as both men are down outside of the ring with the official checking them both out. As he does this Ric Flair stumbles over to Kazarian and tries to lift him back up but the official orders him to stop. This shocks Flair and he yells “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I’M THE NATURE BOY, THE SIXTY MINUTE MAN BABY!” to which the official simply shakes his head. The official then goes back into the ring and begins the count.

One… Two… Three – Red begins to push himself up off the ground. He manages to gather his thoughts and begin to make his way back into the ring. Just a few moments later Kazarian does the same and at a count of five both men are back into the ring for the first time since the start of the contest which already seems like an age ago. Both men are back to their feet and Red pushes forward quickly. Strong forearm by Red sends Kaz stepping backward – Red builds up some speed by running into the ropes – but Kazarian ducks a clothesline attempt and lifts Red up off his feet and drops him backward. Kazarian goes right for the cover off the counter: One… Two… kick out by Red. Still in the early stages of this match Kazarian is able to pounce back into the attack with some hard punches to the back of the head. The champion pulls Red to his feet before sending him across into the ropes with an Irish whip. Red shoots across… comes flying back… and nearly has his head taken off by a jumping spin kick by Kazarian. Perhaps it is ignorance or maybe it’s just plain arrogance but for whatever reason Kazarian doesn’t go for the cover. With a smug look on his face Kaz steps back, points out to the crowd, glances over to Flair and then he begins to strut just like ‘Naitch’ does. Flair loves what he is seeing and the legend begins to strut on the outside of the ring in true ‘Naitch’ style. After finishing his little strut Kaz goes delivers a few strikes to the back of Red, who at this point, is up to a vertical base. What started out as only a few shots has now become a frenzy of strikes. These powerful shots by Kazarian drop Red down to one knee. Kazarian continues to hammer away until Red finds himself hanging across the second rope. The break is forced and Kaz steps back for the moment but quickly rushes forward and… SLINGS HIMSELF OVER THE TOP ROPE… on the way down Kazarian delivers a devastating leg drop in mid-air with the ring rope across the throat of Amazing Red.

Red’s throat is strangled by the second rope as the weight of Kazarian comes crashing down in amazing fashion. The challenger remains with hanging across the second rope from inside the ring. On the outside of the ring Kazarian brushes back his long black hair before ever so slowly walking over to the ring apron and nailing Red with a big punch to the head. Red falls back off the middle rope as Kaz gloats on the outside. With the advantage in this match Kaz is very arrogant and so is Ric Flair. Both men have huge grins on their faces and as Kaz heads onto the apron everything is going his way. With both hands Kaz leans through the middle rope and grabs Red by the head. He attempts to pull Red through into a DDT position but the challenger fights out of it. Red pushes away from Kaz… rolls away from the champion… regains his footing… rushes forward and drives a flying knee into the skull of Kazarian. Somehow Kazarian does not fall but he manages to hold onto the top rope and keep himself dangling on the apron. Just because Kaz hasn’t fallen doesn’t mean he is safe because Amazing Red fires up and rushes forward again with a flying forearm to the face. The sound of the forearm hitting the face of Kazarian echoes throughout the arena tonight but somehow Kazarian still manages to hold on. With built up frustration and rage the challenger runs toward the turnbuckle – JUMPS BACKWARD – AND CONNECTS WITH AN ENZUIGIRI!

Big move from Red and now Kazarian finds himself slung across the top rope. The crowd begins to cheer as Red looks around with wide eyes. Like kid in a candy store Red points to Kaz and the crowd go up. Even with all the hard head shots Red is able to climb up onto the top rope and keep his footing. He stands up straight on the top rope and jumps forward… Red is able to get onto the neck of Kazarian as he is flipping and twist it enough that he dislodges the champion from the top rope and executes a tremendous neckbreaker combination in mid-air. The crowd is stunned to say the least and both men are now down. Well only for a moment as Red begins to crawl, unable to stand after his back smacked the canvas in an awkward position. Absolutely in a hell of a lot of pain Red still manages to turn Kazarian over for a cover: One… Two… Kazarian gets the shoulder of the mat!

Some are in shock, some are annoyed, but Kazarian did just in fact kick out. One man who is overly thrilled is Ric Flair on the outside of the ring. ‘Naitch’ watches on and his heart rate rose to a new level when the official struck the mat for a second time. Luckily Kazarian still has something to give as he makes his way to his vertical base. The champion leans against the turnbuckle to gather his thoughts… but he doesn’t get long as Amazing Red is on the attack. Quickly Red comes in with a big splash – but it misses – Kazarian rolls out of the way! Smart thinking by the champion for the moment to roll out of the corner but he doesn’t take into account that Red has landed caught himself in the corner and he comes back with a jumping thrust kick to the head of Kazarian. Down goes Kazarian once again and Red makes the cover after stumbling over on his leg: One… Two… another kick out by Kazarian to keep things alive.

The Champion is still fighting to keep his title and no kick to the head is going to keep this man down. With Kazarian down and in a prone position Red, whilst rubbing his lower back with his left hand, grabs Kaz by the arm and slings him into the ropes. Kaz doesn’t have his senses back yet but the champion is smart enough to grab onto the top rope when he is slung by Red. Irritated Red comes forward but is struck with a wild boot by Kazarian. The boot was a last ditch effort to stop Red’s offense and it has payed off. Stumbling forward Kazarian kicks Red in the mid-section before turning him around and delivering a German suplex right in the middle of the ring. The problems in the lower back of Red could be getting worse as Kazarian looks to target the weak spot of his challenger. Unlike past attempts Kazarian doesn’t break his grip after hitting the suplex instead Kaz keeps his hands tied around the waist of Red. The champion pops his hips and rolls over and gets back up. Deep breath by Kazarian… before driving Amazing Red into the canvas with another German suplex. The champion has set his target and will now work on it for however long it takes to gain victory and retain his title. The process continues as Kazarian rolls over once again. He is visibly wore down from executing these Germans but that is what it will take to keep the title tonight. Flair remains on the outside screaming for Kazarian to do another but Kaz is finding it hard to stand at this point. Both champion and challenger are putting everything into this match. Kaz has his hands locked around the waist of Amazing Red and he goes for another suplex… but Red rolls forward and breaks the grip!

Here comes Amazing Red! With the grip broken Red pulls himself up using the ropes and throws a wild right hand which connects with nothing but air. Kazarian is across the ring and needs to use the ropes also. Red pushes forward and strikes with multiple kicks to the legs. Kaz can’t cover up from the sharp kicks from Red and he begins to crumble down onto his knees. The kicks are so powerful even from Red who has sustained a ridiculous amount of punishment tonight. Fighting with everything on the line Red pushes is going nuts. Kazarian is out on his feet! He’s down on his knees! After firing out sharp kicks to the legs and the body of Kazarian the offence of Red stops. He slows down and comes to a stop as Kazarian looks up with dazed eyes. Red then pears around at the crowd, slaps his right leg and then strikes Kazarian in the head! Down the champion! Is this the moment? Red hooks both legs: One… Two… Three… NO, KICK OUT BY KAZARIAN!

“I thought that was it Tenay.”

“Amazing Red was just seconds away from winning the title Don. Just seconds away from upsetting Fortune and sending a message to the entire group.”

“Don’t say stupid things like that. Fortune can’t lose!”

Stunning contest so far as Kazarian will not give up. The kick straight to the head wasn’t enough to keep him down. The look on Red’s face is one of disbelief at what he has just seen. He had Kazarian in the perfect position but it wasn’t enough. Now Red acts as quick as he can by pulling Kaz up to his feet. It’s a struggle but Red manages to get it done. He then places Kazarian’s head in between his arm and his body. Red tugs at the head of Kazarian and struggles until he is over near the corner. With one hand on the rope Red pulls himself onto the top rope. Something big is coming now as Red wraps his other arm around the throat of Kazarian… before jumping off looking for the DDT… but Kazarian spins out of the grip and turns it into a modified side slam. Brilliant counter by Kazarian and he goes into the cover: One… Two… shoulder is off the mat by Red. The will in both men is incredible tonight and nothing seems to be able to put either man away. With Flair yelling at him on the outside Kazarian moves in for the kill. The champion grabs Red from behind and wraps his arm around the front of the neck to make the gap between the head and the shoulder bigger. Kaz then slaps that area before driving vicious elbows into the collarbone. Kazarian is firing away with the elbows and can be heard yelling “give up! Just quit.” With the elbows working effectively Kazarian changes his position by moving to the front of Red with his arms wrapped around the head. He begins to pull Red off the canvas and lifts him up with a suplex. It’s a delayed version of the suplex to add insult to injury now as Kazarian holds Red up high. The crowd is counting and when they hit five Kazarian drops Red hard with the suplex which is borderline brainbuster. Another cover by Kazarian: One… Two… FOOT ON THE ROPE!

Oh hell yeah brother, a foot on the rope, this match will continue. You can imagine the look on Flair’s face as he throws off his jacket. The great man is shaking his fist in the air and screaming at the official. Just as stunned as Flair it would seem Kazarian is just the same. He can’t believe it. The official begins to feel the heat from Kazarian as he gets in his face. Nothing the official says is good enough for Kazarian because he thinks he really did win with that move. All of this talking isn’t doing any good for Kazarian as he allows Red to get back to his feet and in comes Red for the roll up: One… Two… Kazarian slips out of the roll up.

Off the roll up Red ducks a clothesline attempt by Kaz and kicks him in the mid-section. Red quickly pulls Kazarian into the middle of his legs and attempts CODE RED – NO – KAZARIAN STRUGGLES OUT – PUSHES AMAZING RED INTO ROPES AND THEN STRIKES WITH A HIGH KICK. With both hands Kazarian throws Red across into the turnbuckle before running over and connecting with a clothesline. Still with his arm wrapped around the neck Kazarian tries to flip backward… BUT RED COUNTERS – ELBOWS TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD – KAZARIAN DOWN TO ONE KNEE! Red turns and bounces from the second rope backward… dropkick by Kazarian to the mid-section of Red! Kazarian does well to counter and now he lifts Red up and onto the top turnbuckle. They struggle but a few strikes from Kazarian keeps control with him. Kazarian follows up with consecutive chops in honour of ‘Naitch’. Now Kaz begins to climb the turnbuckle by placing his feet on the first rope to start. With his hand around the head of Red for leverage Kazarian moves up to the second rope. He’s in perfect position as Kazarian has his arms around the head and his feet in a stable stance. Kazarian lifts… but can’t get Red up! Red is fighting… he’s doing everything he can… striking… head-butts… even biting just to save himself. It begins to work as Kazarian loses his position and the champion stumbles off the rope and goes across the ring. The official checks on Red… allowing Ric Flair to slide the X Division Championship to Kazarian.

Nobody else can see what is happening. Quickly Flair runs around the ring and climbs onto the apron. The official begins to argue with Flair, unaware of the situation unfolding. Red thinks he’s in control but he isn’t. Red spots Kaz moving toward him with his back facing the challenger. Instinctively Red dives forward – BAM!! KAZARIAN SMACKS RED WITH THE TITLE WHEN HE WAS IN THE AIR. RED IS OUT COLD AND KAZARIAN THROWS THE TITLE OUT OF THE RING WITHOUT THE OFFICIAL SEEING IT! With the plan finished Flair steps down from the apron and the official turns around to see the innocent scene of Kazarian crawling toward Red. Acting like never before Kazarian turns Red over and he hooks the leg: One… Two… Three!

WINNER AND STILL X DIVISION CHAMPION: KAZARIAN VIA PINFALL AT 13:54

*Fortune 4*

Jeremy Borash: Here is your winner… AND STILL TNA X DIVISION CHAMPION… KAZARIAN!!

Everyone is pissed at the decision and rightfully so. Kazarian has cheated to keep the title tonight but the official never saw the dirt deed. The plan was executed perfectly by Ric Flair and Kazarian and the two members of Fortune embrace on the outside of the ring. They hug it out on the entrance ramp side of the arena. Kazarian can be heard yelling “I won! I did it, you all thought it was over but I find a way to win!” It’s an image that will be burnt into the history of TNA and the X Division as Kazarian holds his dearly loved title high in the air while Red lays unconscious inside the ring. Kazarian looks even more smug then he did before the match started but he must know he was in a war tonight.

Don West: YES! YES! YES! The greatest X Division Champion of all time did it again. Just like he’s done it time and time before Kazarian remains champion. After an incredible contest Kazarian defeats Amazing Red in a contest that I’m sure will go down in the history of TNA. But once again let me remind you that Kazarian wins! Kaz wins!

Mike Tenay: How can you support that?

Don West: Support what? Kazarian won the match, I love winners.

Mike Tenay: He used the title belt illegally. Kazarian didn’t win the match at all. He cheated and the official didn’t see what was going on. Ric Flair shouldn’t have been at ringside in the first place. It should have been one on one with no members of Fortune at ringside. It’s unfair to anyone who faces one of them in a match because it becomes a handicap match. I hope that Eric Bischoff or Hulk Hogan make a decision about this before our main event tonight or we could see this type of stuff in our main event.

Don West: Are you suggesting we discriminate against Fortune? It’s 2010 Tenay, not 1963. Fortune is allowed to do what they want. Anyone can be at ringside and Red should have gotten some friends to be at ringside. The problem with that is he doesn’t have any friends. He didn’t have backup and now he doesn’t have a title. Sucks to be him.

Mike Tenay: Even though my partner seems to be obsessed with Fortune allow me to be the cooler head. What happened tonight is an example of what has been happening for months in TNA. Fortune has been running around ruining some brilliant matches and leaving a sour taste in the mouth of me and the fans. Something needs to be done. Someone needs to step up and take Fortune on. I hope that tonight AJ Styles is the man to set things straight for TNA. I’m sick of seeing Fortune running around doing their thing and no following the rules. They’ll destroy this company if something isn’t done.

Don West: Don’t let your personal problems with the competitors cloud your judgment Tenay. Be professional, be like me.

Mike Tenay: Someone take me now.

The title belt hangs down from the shoulder of Kazarian until Flair places his hands on the gold. Kazarian looks a little confused at why Flair is touching his title but soon realises that ‘Naitch’ is putting it around his waist. This man reeks of arrogance tonight, his spirits are higher than ever before and Kazarian could very well be on his way to being one of the top X Division Champions of all time. Inside the ring Amazing Red is sitting up with his head in his hands. Shattered at what has happened tonight Red can’t bear to look at his fans. With Red mentally broken inside the ring and a cocky champion at the top of the stage we begin to fade away…

We’re not actually going anywhere outside of the arena, just to the backstage area where D’Angelo Dinero is standing by with Christy Hemme. The Pope is decked out with jewels and chains. In classic Dinero style he is covered with things normal people would love to have. Dinero looks extremely confident about tonight as he runs his hand up and down the largest chain he has around his neck. It’s a pretty big thing with a bunch of diamonds, supposedly, and it runs down to his chest.

Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentleman, guys and gals, once again Christy Hemme is here and what a lovely time I am having here tonight in Orlando. Things may not be so lovely however tonight for my guest when he faces off against Rob Van Dam. I’m talking about ‘The Pope’ D’Angelo Dinero…

D’Angelo Dinero: Of course you’re talking about me. Who isn’t? D’Angelo Dinero is the future, everyone is talking about me. Unlike Rob Van Dam who hasn’t be impressive since 1999. This isn’t 1999 anymore, this is 2010. This is my year. Christy this isn’t just an interview with a TNA superstar, this is an interview with THE TNA POPE!

Dinero pauses. Then points at Christy.

D’Angelo Dinero: Do you understand? Do you?

He gets louder and pushes closer to Christy.

D’Angelo Dinero: DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHO YOU’RE TALKING TO PEASANT!

Christy Hemme: Yes… just stop… please.

Dinero backs off a little.

D’Angelo Dinero: Nobody knows what I can do. Nobody. Van Dam thinks he’s figured me out but he hasn’t. I got more brains then anyone in TNA. You nothing but a peasant. A peasant woman makes it even worse.

Another pause by Dinero as he grabs hold of his largest chain.

D’Angelo Dinero: You see this? You see it fool? I’m gonna’ wrap this chain around my fist… and smash Van Dam in the face with it.

He lets go of the chain.

D’Angelo Dinero: You’ll find out tonight, just like Van Dam, you don’t piss me off. I hate being pissed off. I hate it and I hate Rob Van Dam!

A loud amount of heat goes up at the conclusion of the interview between Hemme and Dinero. With everything said Dinero looks at Hemme in disgust before walking away. With this being one of the more confrontational interviews done by Hemme the girl is a little shaken up by it as we head back to ringside…

Yep, back to ringside with Tenay and West for the moment.

Mike Tenay: Do you ever wonder what is wrong with him?

Don West: I gave up wondering about D’Angelo Dinero a long time ago partner. He’s crazy, simple as that.

Mike Tenay: Surely it can’t be that simple?

Don West: Believe me, I’ve dealt with some crazy people. Dinero is nuts, loony, a wack job. Wrap all three together and you get Dinero.

Mike Tenay: Still he’s a very dangerous opponent for Van Dam tonight Don. After the way Dinero has been acting the last couple of weeks I’m not sure what to expect from him. It could be a well thought out plan or…

Don West: Him acting absolutely crazy and going on a rant is always an option.

Mike Tenay: That was my next choice.

*The British Invasion*

Cutting off Tenay and West is the music of the rather egotistical foreigners, Brutus Magnus and Douglas Williams, collectively known by the name of British Invasion. This happens to be the name of their theme song, pretty catchy tune I might add. Magnus and Williams both stride out onto the stage wearing robes with the union jack on the back of them. They show the colours of their native land and the big red symbol shines bright. They saunter down to the ring with smirks on their face. They feel like they are above this audience here in the arena and those watching at home because of their heritage and ties to the “motherland”.

Jeremy Borash: This is the second contest of the night and is a special bonus tag team contest which is set for one fall. Introducing first, weighing in at four hundred and seventy five pounds… the team of Brutus Magnus and Douglas Williams… British Invasion!

Mike Tenay: When you look back at past teams in the history of TNA, and professional wrestling entirely, it’s hard to find a team more technically sound then these two guys right here. Brutus Magnus and Douglas Williams together have been a strong unit and the waves they have created in the tag team scene have been unlike anything we’ve seen for many years.

Don West: Darn right Tenay. The Brits have been making their way through competition since day one here in TNA. Team after team, challenge after challenge and these two are still kicking today. The one problem these two men have faced is their opponents tonight. Since day one the British Invasion has been troubled by the constant battles put forth by the Motor City Machine Guns. If any team can take Brutus Magnus and Douglas Williams to the limit then it is the Guns. They’re the number one contenders and rightfully so.

Mike Tenay: Well, seeing as you brought it up, it was two weeks ago on Impact that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly became the number one contenders to the tag titles and they defeated their opponents for tonight. It was a fierce contest with these two lasting longer than any other team but tonight it is just two on two. It is just two teams fighting it out and I’m very excited to see how this plays out tonight.

Inside the ring the Brits walk around with smirks on their face from ear to ear. Slowly a “You Suck” chant begins to arise from the crowd however it soon dies out when the familiar theme music of the Motor City Machine Guns hit!

*1967*

HUGE pop as Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly walk out onto the stage, both wearing Motor City leather jackets. Their custom made jackets have the team logo, small metal spikes on the shoulders and is cut down the middle. They make their way into the middle of the ramp, go back to back, stretch out their arms and finally point their finger like a gun in their trademark pose. The Guns break away and head to opposites sides of the entrance ramp to touch hands with the fans before their match.

Jeremy Borash: And their opponents, weighing in at four hundred and twenty pounds, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly… the Motor City Machine Guns!!!

Mike Tenay: Here come the number one contenders and the two men who will challenge for the titles Thursday night on TNA Impact. It will be the main event of the show this week and no matter who the champions are following tonight it is going to be a must see.

Don West: But that’s on Impact, tonight Sabin and Shelly need to focus on the two men standing inside the ring. I can tell you this, the British Invasion will be a mighty challenge for the number one contenders and if these boys are purely focusing on their match for the titles then this upcoming contest isn’t going to look pretty. They need to focus and be prepared for what they have to face in just a few moments time.

Mike Tenay: Who are you picking tonight Don?

Don West: Believe me Tenay when I tell you that Brutus Magnus and Douglas Williams will be victories. After their valiant performance a couple of weeks ago I think the British Invasion are going to step up here tonight. I’ve been watching them and I can see future championships for these two men.

Tag Team Match:
British Invasion vs. Motor City Machine Guns

This special bonus tag team match is underway. In the far corner Sabin and Shelly quickly discuss who is going to start the match, then like true professionals they “paper, scissors, rock” right before battle. The rules do state the rock beats scissors and since Sabin drew rock, he will start this match tonight. On the other side of the ring Magnus stands in his corner shaking his head with a sizeable smirk across his face. He chuckles at what stands before him and undoubtedly believes that this match isn’t going to be a challenge. After watching his opponents indulge in such childish games Magnus, and Douglas Williams for that matter, are not impressed at all. Such arrogance could only see them fall… right? The contest is on as Magnus extends an arm for the lock up to start. He waves his hand around for Sabin to grab but the former star of the X Division has no intention of playing into the hand of Magnus tonight. Instead of meeting the offer for the lock up, Sabin swiftly delivers a sharp kick to the leg, which causes Magnus to stumble as he wasn’t expecting it.

Sabin then follows up with similar kicks to the legs and Magnus is on the back pedal. With Magnus now retreating into a corner, Sabin runs forward and dives dropkick … but Magnus moves out of the way! Sabin was unable to connect off the dropkick and this little mistake allows for Magnus to drop an elbow across the back not once, but twice, before locking in a side head lock down on the canvas. Magnus by far has the strength advantage in this situation and his large arms are wrapped around the head of Sabin, cutting off the blood flow to the brain. Arrogance is plentiful for Magnus tonight as he taunts the onlooker in Alex Shelly. The arrogance could be fading as Sabin pushes himself off the mat and slides from under the arm of Magnus. With a little bit of speed Sabin runs toward the ropes, rebounds with his arm lift high, and swings for the clothesline which connects! Magnus is up quickly though off the clothesline but is slapped by a Sabin backhand spin and then booted in the mid-section before being hit with a hard DDT which leads to the first cover of the match: One… kick out by Magnus!

Sabin isn’t giving Magnus a moment to rest in this match as he pulls the foreigner to his feet. Into the corner goes Magnus off the Irish whip … Sabin comes charging in … and connects with a springboard elbow! Magnus is in trouble as he stumbles forward in a dazed state of mind. Quickly Sabin gets a tag off to his partner Alex Shelly who comes right into the off with a flying hurricanrana! Shelly rolls forward and onto his feet quickly following his entrance into the match which has surely hurt Magnus a great deal as he gets back to his feet while leaning against the ropes. Magnus only has eyes for his corner as he reaches for the tag… only for Shelly to slide between his legs and kick Magnus in the face from underneath! The kick to the face causes Magnus to tilt back and forth for a moment … with him finally falling forward into the tag of Douglas Williams! As Magnus fell down he landed on Alex Shelly and trapped him underneath for a moment and this allowed for Shelly to be defenceless against an incoming boot from, the ever so eager Douglas Williams.

While Magnus rolls to the outside of the ring, his partner and legal man for the British Invasion, Douglas Williams lays several boots into the upper body of Shelly. Williams isn’t just going to kick his way to a victory tonight, he does mix it up as he sends lifts Shelly off the ground before connecting with a vertical suplex which is followed by a cover: One… Two… No! Even though the count reached two the kick out from Shelly is still considerably strong compared with earlier pinfall attempts in the night. With a handful of hair, well as much as you can get with Shelly and his Mohawk thing, Williams pulls Shelly up and hooks his arms. Williams attempts to lift Shelly off the ground but is unable to do so as Shelly spins out of the hold … fires off a quick forearm to the face … he sweeps the legs of Williams and connects with a standing moonsault in the middle of the ring. Shelly goes into the cover off the amazing counter: One… Two… T… kick out by Williams! After being in this match for a good couple of minutes Shelly is more than welcome to the tag offered by Sabin in the corner and the Guns will switch it up. The legal pairing is now Williams and Sabin, with Williams pulling himself to his feet. Sabin isn’t going to stand around all day but he does wait for Williams to turn around into his sights before meeting his opponent for battle. Once turned Williams is met with a dropkick from Sabin … NO! … Williams blocks the dropkick and drives his knee into the skull of Chris Sabin! Anarchy Knee connects! Anarchy Knee has connected!

It’s only a matter of time as Douglas Williams hooks the leg of Sabin: One… Two… Thr… it’s a freaking kick out by Sabin! Holy shit! How the hell? Douglas Williams cannot believe that his knee didn’t finish off this match tonight and truthfully he isn’t the only one. Frustration comes over the face of Williams and he has no problem with questioning the decision of the official about what has just happened. The official of course says that it was only two but that isn’t going to sit well with the fiery Brit. To continue the tough beat down Williams drags Sabin over to his corner and uses his knee once again to deliver fierce punishment. At this point Williams sticks out his left hand while pushing his right forearm into the face of Sabin so that Magnus can get the tag and enter the match. The so far clean match gets a little dirty as Magnus and Williams deliver a quick succession of punches to the head of Sabin in the corner. After the official forces Williams out of the ring his partner Magnus continues to beat down Sabin in the corner. One half of the number one contenders is stuck at the bottom of the corner and is being belted with boots from Magnus. The arrogance is still alive and well from Magnus as he slaps Sabin a few times for good measure. Magnus takes a few steps back, does the fist movement, and then rushes forward for a knee to the head … Sabin moves out of the way! Magnus hits the turnbuckles hard… he steps back… as Sabin grabs onto his head … rushing forward with control over Magnus does Sabin, they move over to the corner and Sabin steps up the turnbuckle … he spins back around and connects with the spinning bulldog! Sabin then rolls Magnus over for a cover: One… Two… Th… another kick out from Magnus!

Sabin looks up at the official, asking if that was three but unfortunately for him it was not. On the apron now Shelly sticks out his hand and calls Sabin over for the tag which he gets. Shelly climbs onto the top turnbuckle from the outside apron and is perched waiting for Magnus. Slowly his target regains his footing and Shelly stands up vertically on the top rope. It’s dangerous territory for Shelly right here as he watches Magnus scan around the arena for his opponents. After looking everywhere else Magnus turns around … Shelly comes flying toward him for a hurricanrana … but Magnus catches him and nails a god damn powerbomb! Shelly’s head bounces off the mat really bloody hard and he could be knocked out cold. It would surely be over but Magnus can’t cover as he has used a great deal of energy pulling off that counter. He’s spent. On the outside of the ring Williams can be seen pleading with Magnus to cover. Slowly Magnus begins to crawl over, ever so lightly, inch by inch until he gets an arm over: One… Two… Three… No! It’s not over! Alex Shelly kicked out of the powerbomb and this match will continue.

The first man back to his feet is Magnus and he has no problem with going right over to the corner and making the tag to Williams. Shelly has yet to truly recover from the amazing powerbomb as he tries, and fails, to get back to his feet. It looks like Shelly has taken a trip to Disneyland tonight and it may be a one way ticket. With a prone opponent Williams stalks Shelly from the middle of the ring. He makes his way around him slowly, stamping his feet as he does so. After failing to stand several times it is clear that Shelly isn’t all there after the powerbomb. This gives Williams some more arrogance which was already through the roof to be with. He comes over and grabs Shelly by the arm and delivers a big old kick to the side of the ribs. Williams then hooks the arm and lifts Shelly up off the mat into a suplex position. To the surprise of many Shelly shows some signs of life as he tries to slip out of the suplex … which he does! Shelly escapes the suplex and goes behind Williams. He shoves Williams away before making a dive for his corner … the tag is made! Sabin is legal! In comes Chris Sabin like a house on fire as he hammers away with several punches and kicks to Douglas Williams. A lot of offense from Sabin has ignited this crowd as they stand and cheer him on. Any attempt from Williams to counter has yet to do anything, Sabin has been able to duck all the punches and move out of the way of the kicks, it’s like he’s fighting air.

Suddenly Sabin ducks a counter from Williams and jumps up with a flying knee to the head! Down goes Williams! It could be over here ladies and gentlemen. It should be a clean cover for Sabin but Magnus runs in to cause some havoc and save the match for his team … or so we thought … it may not be as Shelly, the man who was knocked out cold just a few minutes ago, comes off the top rope with a cross body to catch Magnus out of nowhere. It connects perfectly and once up to their feet Shelly tackles Magnus to the outside of the ring! It’s back to being one on one inside the ring as Sabin turns his attention back to Douglas Williams. The tough Brit is pulling himself up to his feet but it could be pointless as Sabin grabs him from behind, spins Williams around so they are face to face before lifting him up onto his shoulders … Cradle Shock! Chris Sabin nails the ever so devastating Cradle Shock on Douglas Williams. With no tag partner to save him now Williams must be able to kick out of this finisher to keep the match alive: One… Two… Three! It’s over! Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly have defeated the British Invasion once again. What a contest.

WINNERS: MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS VIA PINFALL AT 10:23

*1967*

Jeremy Borash: The winners of the match… Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly, The Motor City Machine Guns!

After overcoming the odds tonight in a fierce battle with two outstanding warriors’ Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly are on their knee inside the ring embracing each other. Both men cannot believe what they just went through and to come out winners has surely made their night. With the crowd chanting their name Shelly and Sabin stand up and ascend the turnbuckles to salute their fans on this night. Shelly’s still not one hundred precent after finishing the match as he almost falls off the turnbuckle which gets a chuckle from the crowd. Shelly can also see the funny side of things as he quickly stands down from it just to be safe.

Mike Tenay: That right there is the reason I come to work every day Don. Seeing great action like that between young guys in our industry is the best thing we have in this company. Just look at how exhausted Shelly and Sabin are after putting all the energy into that match. They’re hurt, they’re down and nearly out but somehow the Guns did it! Somehow they pulled through and stole this victory tonight Don in an incredible contest.

Don West: It doesn’t matter how hurt these men are tonight because come this Thursday it’s game time for Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly. They’re the number one contenders for the championships after tonight and they will compete in the main event of Impact. I truly believed that Douglas Williams and Brutus Magnus would be able to get the victory but it just wasn’t to be it seems. Unlike some people I will give credit where it is due, so congratulations to Sabin and Shelly on a really impressive victory.

Mike Tenay: The match clearly could have gone either way tonight with both British Invasion and The Motor City Machine Guns looking great tonight. It’s a fantastic sign for the ever growing tag team division we have here in TNA.

At this point both members of British Invasion have made their through the curtain to the backstage area leaving Sabin and Shelly to celebrate on top of the stage. The Guns embrace one last time before waving to the crowd and heading backstage for a well-deserved rest after their match. Tenay and West continue to put over the Guns as we fade to the blackest of blacks…
