Best Song: Foo Fighters

This one is going to be a tough one. The Foo Fighters are one of the biggest rock bands going today. They've had multiple big hits and they've managed to breakthrough to mainstream success. Now there's many choices for the best Foo Fighters song. All my life, the pretender, and everlong are all very good songs. But I'm going to go with "best of you" for this one. The song has a great beat, lyrics that mean something, and pretty good vocals on Dave Grohls part. The song is about being taked advantage of, and that's something I can relate to. It's just a overall fun song that anybody could listen to and enjoy.

I'mma go with Big Me. It was perhaps their first big hit....... and it exemplified their approach to the music, that being havin' the big fun.

Although I am not a big Foo Fighters fan by any stretch, There are two songs I have liked by them. One being "My Hero". Its not a favourite of mine, but like I said, not a Foo fan. The song overall is alright, i like the instruments in the, especially the beat. I heard it was writen for or partially about Kurt Cobain, so that is nice I guess.

Foo Fighters are going to go down as one of the best bands of our generation, and they have enough great songs, to put out 3 greatest hits records. But, which one is my favorite? Is it I'll Stick Around? Big Me? Monkey Wrench? Low?

Nope. It's Come Back. I'm a sucker for the longer rock songs, and this one lasts about 7 minutes. It has some great lyrics, and tells a good story that anyone can relate to. The music has it's peaks and valleys, and then just when you think the song is over, the guitar picks back up, and the lyrics become louder and louder, and it reels you right back in. It's clearly the best song on it's album, and is one of the best of the 90's and 00's, not just from them, but from anyone.

The title of the threads should really say Favorite Song:____, instead of Best Song seeing as how they are usually tow very different things, and most people are listing their favorite songs, but whatever

For me it would have to be a song that often times gets overlooked, February Star, for some reason I find the song strangely comforting, prolly due to shit that happened in my personal life about a year ago, but the song is fucking incredible, I love how the majority of the song is very mellow then at the end then it gets loud and the intensity kicks in, awesome song, truly fucking awesome

I'm not huge on the Foo Fighters but I do like some of their stuff. My favorite of all of them though is one of their newer ones: Long Road to Ruin. Great sound, fast paced, the lyrics are great. Excellent song to me that made me want to hear more of their stuff. Heard it on the radio one morning and really liked it immediately. had it stuck in my head all day which is the mark of a good song to me.

Like TM and KB, i'm not their biggest fan. However, I think their best song would have to be Everlong. Great opening guitar riff and drums throughout the whole song, great vocals and lyrics that seemed to fit with the song perfectly. It made me start to check out some of their other stuff, and now there are a few songs of theirs that I really like. And this one song got me into it. Everlong is a great song that anyone can like.
