Best of 2006 **MERGED**

WWE.Com have been posting the top ten stories of the year. In you're opinion what are the top ten story's of the year?

1. Kurt Angle leaving WWE.
He started the year as World Heavyweight Champion, who would have thought that 8 month's later he would be wrestling in T.N.A.?

2. Surprise Champions. I never thought I would see Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio and Booker T as World Champion's in WWE.

3. Rob Van Dam And Sabu's Drug Bust. With the Wellness Program I could'nt believe that they would be so stupid. Although I did find it amusing, it's a shame it's fucked up R.V.D.'s main event push.

4. Diva's Retiring. I also did'nt expect to see the two main female's in WWE retire from the ring. I expect them to be back in either T.N.A. or WWE at some point though.

5. Bret Hart Inducted Into The Hall Of Fame. I was surprised when Bret accepted their invitation. I never thought he would appear in anything to do with WWE again.

6. Edge Taking His Money In The Bank Title Shot. Although he won the M.I.T.B. I did'nt think they would actually let him win the title, especially of Cena. I also did'nt see him cashing it in at N.Y.R. It's the first time I've marked out in year's.

7. C.M. Punk Getting A Push.
When he signed with WWE last year I was dissapointed. I expected him to be dumped in the Cruiserweight division but I see him being a future World Champ.

8. Wellness Program. To my surprise thay actually suspended wrestler's, even high profile one's like Angle, R.V.D. and Orton. Also it completley messed up The Great American Bash which saved us from a Great Khali match.

9. Smackdown Becoming The Best Show. I dont know when it happened but at some point throughout the year Smackdown became better than Raw. It became a wrestling show instead of a chat show unlike Raw.

10. December To Dismember The Worst P.P.V. In Wrestling History. Even worse than some of the early Wrestle Mania's, and that's saying something. I've never seen a P.P.V. only announce two match's prior to the event. The worst show I've seen in the 18 year's I've been watching wrestling.

I wouldnt say HHH pissed away his gimmick. cuz once DX ends, he could very easily get it back, all he has to do is get screwed over, or have an opourtunity to get something good, but in order to do it he has to screw somone over, thuse becoming selfish I WANT THE TITLE tripple H that he was before DX.

anyways, thats one reason i have to put in HHH as the MR WWE 2006. the guy is pretty much the face of wrestling, besides all the shoving of Cena down the rest of the worlds throats. when you see Tripple H you think of wreslting, all of wreslting not just him. ya know?
He's in the twilight of his career and the phony face turn was insulting to everyone with the equivalent intelligence above the average fourth grader. It's on par with the time Austin hugged McMahon a few years back. You say he didn't piss it away, and my guess is that you've eaten the DX load of horse$hit up, or maybe not. Either way, HHH took years worth of work and flushed it collectively down the toilet in one summer. He's not getting any younger and hasn't been taking care of his physique like he once was (also probably due to less anabolic cycling). The thing that pisses me off is the fact that HHH has stepped aside to let a talentless wonder like Cena try to carry the company when he instead helps to drag it further down into the gutter. That is why I'm not stepping in to support HHH for "best anything" of 2006...unless we're talking about self-imposed character damage. Then he'd be the blue ribbon baby.
