F*ck Friends, Rather die wiv ma AK!
Okay, so my recent best ppv match threads have been about ppv's from 1999 and onwards...this here would be different and if you were a fan of wwe pre-1999 then I hope you will contribute and share your thoughts with everyone.

WWE held IYH from 1995 to mid 1999, with 28 shows. They were held more or less every month apart from January, March/April, June, August and November, these were the months the big 5, yes including King of the Ring took place. Almost every show was amazing, but I know there had to be a match which you thought had to be the best...

What is your favourite match to have taken place at In Your House??

My choice would have to clearly be Badd Blood 1997, Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker, hell in a cell..it was a no.1 contender match for the wwf champion, im guessing everyone knows what happened in this match...the debut of Kane...an epic hell in a cell match with good spots, this set the standards for hell in a cell matches to come...

Honourable Mention
1996 - IYH 6 - Bret Hart vs Diesel in a cage match

1996 - Buried Alive - The Undertaker vs Mankind in first ever Buried Alive match

1999 - St. Valentines Day Massacre - The Rock vs Mankind for wwf champion

So, now you know mine, now tell me..

What's yours??

The first hell in a cell is a great choice and I think it will be a popular choice here. It had a big match feel to it and was exciting every minute of the way. Shawn's bump from the cage doesn't look like much today, but in 1997 that was a crazy fall. Awesome match.

If hell in a cell in the number 1 match from In Your House then I have a 1A. Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Jarrett from July 1995 was awesome. This was a great match that always seems to be overlooked. I was on the edge of my seat for this one. Looking back it seems obvious that HBK would win, but at the time I really thought it could have gone either way. Jarrett was getting a big push in 1995 and the night seemed to be made for him as this was in his home state and he just performed With My Baby Tonight live earlier in the night. Plus I wasn't sure if HBK would get the IC title again. He challenged Diesel for the world title earlier in the year at mania, and although he lost it looked as though HBK had moved beyond the IC title. At the same time Shawn was getting such a monster push that I couldn't picture him losing to Jarrett. This was a great match and was my choice of match of the year in 1995. It doesn't get enough mention when discussing the great matches of Shawn's career.

The best non gimmick IYH match was Mankind vs HBK at Mind Games even if the finish sucked. Foley's best non gimmick match full stop I'd wager. He was on top of his form then and HBK did great too.

The Badd Blood HIAC was great too but I didnt think that was an IYH event as Bad Blood became an annual PPV event.

Well my 2 favorites were already mentioned (HBK vs. Mankind, HBK vs. Taker) but there are 2 others that I really enjoyed.
The first was HBK vs. Owen Hart from February '96 and the winner got a shot for the title at Wrestlemania 12. Putting these 2 together will always deliver and I thought it was a great match, a solid way to end their feud, and did a great job pushing Michaels into his Iron Man Match, oh and HBK's "Tarzan-like" entrance was pretty cool too.

The other one was HBK vs. Diesel from April '96 for the WWF Title. This was Diesels last televised match for the WWF (until '02 that is) and it was a great match that had some great brawling. I think everyone agrees that Diesels best work was when he was fighting HBK, besides who can forget Diesel ripping off Mad Dog Vachon's leg and using it as a weapon.

I rly liked the D-Generation themed ppv. The band was awesome and one of my favorite wwf moments is the band playing the dx music. Think about this as well the under card hard the rock vs austin for the IC title. Classic chyna moments to.

My favorite by far was IYH 13:final four between bret hart the undertaker stone cold steve austin and vader i will forever remember that pay-per-view because it took place in my hometown of Chattanooga Tennessee and i was in attendance to watch it

hmmm ive always been a fan of IN your house ppvs and cant really pick a fav match but my fav in your house would be in your house i think its called in your house 18 or 17..anyway its called in your house dx..i loved this ppv..this is when i first started watching wrestling and i thought hbk was the coolest person in the world and dx was the end all be all in my eyes and this was my first ppv i watched with my dad and from then on i watch raw religousliy and doing crotch chops like crazy..well til i got older i watch wrestling but not as strongly as i use to.. but anyway this ppv was awsome shamrock vs hbk the return of owen ahrt hhh vs slaughter boot camp match..i still watch it to this day..my fav ppv cant really pick a match but i could def pick a in your house ppv

I would deffo agree with HBK Vs Bulldog, that match was a cracker to me and a prime example that TNA should watch now to see how blood can be used to improve the drama of a match, without going into overkill.

HBK vs. Diesel from April '96 for the WWF Title was beautiful. I was 2 months away from my 11th birthday, and all i could remember was Diesel N him ripping off Mad Dogs prostetic leg. That was also Razor Ramon's last match against Vader... hated dat ending tho huge Scott Hall mark. My personal favorite was Owen Vs Shawn not cuz Tha RoCCet died, but based on tha fact that it was great ring work. Not to mention their storylines have always played off as real natural. Simply meaning it was realistic and for that time period that was sumthin special to witness.

Glad you said this. HBK vs Mankind at Mind Games is what I call the best match no one considers a candidate for best match. I'm not even sure the non finish ruins it. If I remember correctly, at the time, Mankind was either undefeated or close to it. He made Taker pass out to the Mandible Claw and was one of the most feared heels in a while. The non finish protected Mankind and allowed Vader to step in and put over Michaels. Michaels got to show a new side by delivering a beating and Mankind never actually lost. HBK could stay champ and a Mankind Taker rematch lost no steam. This match was great. In case you didn't know they included it on the History of the WWE Title DVD making that set worth picking up.
