I disagree. Gorilla WAS supposed to put over the faces and WAS pro Hogan but you need to remember this... In the 80's heels were heels. You were supposed to hate them. I think that Gorilla ehanced the heel persona of guys like Dibiase, Rude and Perfect and made you hate them even more.
I know he was suppose to put over faces, thats what I said. What I also said is that he did it at the expense of Hogan's rivals.
Watch when Undertaker beat Hogan for the title at Survivor Series. The correct thing for Gorilla to do after that match would to put over Taker but saying that Flair got invloved to keep Hogan strong. Instead he just repeated "It took three guys to beat Hogan" implying that Taker, despite looking stronger than Hogan in the match couldn't have won without Paul Bearer and Ric Flair. There are so many other examples like the 89 Rumble with Hogan and Savage, but Survivor Series is probably the best one.
Its fine to put faces over and point out that they got screwed, but Monsoon took away any momentum heels ever got against Hogan.
See, as Hardcore mentioned, that's how it was supposed to be. Monsoon was for the good guy. He did that for all the faces and whoever he was announcing with, Ventura or Heenan, defended the bad guy. Ah, the good old days.
