The belt has zero prestige and is nothing more than a slight elevator of pops when one guy beats another. Hell I remember when the crowd would go nuts in years past over guys defending the belt. Whether it was Sting, Luger, or a number of other athletes who gave that belt credibility. Now it's nothing more than a party favor because the matches and angles surrounding it are as interesting as watching snails mate.justinsayne said:Did you see the same match I saw, Benoit didn't win the title at will, Taker came out and distracted Kennedy, then Benoit took advantage of the distration and won the match.
Am I the only person that thinks the U.S. tilte has been changing hands way to much, since this time last year it has gone from Benoit to Booker back to Benoit then to JBL, JBL then lost it to Lashley who lost it to Finley who lost it in a triple threat to Kennedy, who as we all know lost it to Benoit last Friday. Why not let someone, like an up and commer hold the title for a copule months then have them lose it at a ppv instead of smackdown!. It just seems to me that so many title changes takes take the legitamacy of the title away
