"I'm supposed to do what now?"
On Impact MVP asked Austin Aries to join his team for Lethal Lockdown. Aries thought about it but MVP didn't really put much on the table, even having doubts when discussing the subject. It's clear now that Aries will somehow be involved in the Lethal Lockdown match, his role right now remains a mystery, but what about beyond Lockdown? Lets face it. There's no way this man will stay away from the main feuds long. He's just gotten caught in the Dixie/MVP struggle. But how should things go for him?
I for one recall his first match with AJ Styles in the BFG Series last year. Aries mentioned AJ carried TNA for it's first 10 years. But that he would carry it for the following 10. Since his re-debut in 2011, he's won the X Division title 4 times, is a Tag Team Champion and of course World Champion along with coining "Option C". That's a hell of a lot in little time. I feel he wasn't kidding when he told AJ that. He's well rounded in the ring and popular out of it. I believe that he, and not Samoa Joe, is TNA's true top talent waiting to happen. Armed with the X Division title and Destination X a few months off, I feel Austin Aries will be TNA's next big face.
