ATTN: Doc and possibly MTM

HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO WIN HANDICAP MATCHES IN WWF NO MERCY, ALL THEY DO IS HAVE ONE GUY FIGHTING ME AND THE OTHER GUY STANDS IN THE RING GOING *Taunttaunttaunttaunttaunt* TO RAPE THE SHIT OUT OF MY ATTITUDE METER

FUCK YOU X-PAC I HOPE YOUR HEP KILLS YOU BEFORE YOU CAN OD ON SPEEDBALLS

also, Sean Waltman is epileptic shit

I always went the cheap way and won by count out. Make sure when you pin the dude in the ring that you run at the ropes and knock the partner off before making the cover.

Utilize the running attacks. If you have someone who does good damage with a quick, non-aerial running attack, you just keep getting them over and over. Eventually, the damage will set in and they will stay down longer giving you time to taunt and build your attitude meter up. Then you just keep doing it until you've hit them with enough finishers to keep them both down for a 3 count.

Or get them counted out.

Best way to do it is to focus all of your offense on one guy. Beat the tar out of him and run away when either of them is special. When you get special, hit the guy you've been working on with your finisher first, then hit the guy you haven't attacked yet with it, then pin the guy you've been attacking.

I found a suitable solution (alliteration is rad)

1. Use Bradshaw

2. Kill everyone

The guy's more of a beast than Kevin Nash was in World Tour

I wouldn't use the countout as the way to win, but I definitely used the outside to my advantage. You can focus on one wrestler at a time, wearing them out. Handicap matches can be a bitch, but once you figure out the isolation strategy, they become relatively simple. And KB is right, once you are special, go after the one you have worn down first, then hit your special on the other opponent to keep him down long enough to pin the first guy.

I can also recommend using the Tree of Woe. Get the guy in the corner and use I think L or right C. They'll stay in there for awhile while you can beat on someone else.

The main issues were the guy I'm not focusing on using taunts every 3 seconds to kill my attitude meter, and since I was doing Light Heavyweight runs that if I didn't at least have a green meter, the other guy would just counter everything

I once won had a perfect season in WrestleMania 2000.

1) Be a guy with a springboard move from the outside

2) Exit the ring and stand on the apron

3) Wait for your opponent to run straight at you; he will

4) Just before he hits you, execute your springboard move. You will dodge the oncoming attack and knock him to the mat.

5) Taunt while he is down

6) repeat from step 2 until you have finisher

7) execute 2 or 3 finishers. Win

You can also squeeze in two taunts at the beginning of (almost) every match before the AI will attack you. Doing all of this, winning most any match should take you like 55 seconds.

The real challenge of that season was the Royal RUmble, and the random cage match I was put in. Cage matches in that game were a BITCH.

I knew about that from WCW/NWO World Tour, I use it constantly

I'm trying to find a copy of Shut Your Mouth, I always preferred it to Here Comes the Pain simply because I enjoy its story mode better; two years plus the midcard feuds are entertaining too, not just "Oh you can become a main eventer soon keep winning"

I utilised a few methods.

Run around the perimeter of the ring until the two guys bump into each other. Whilst they have attack one, and repeat. Kind of a slow method.

Jump from the turnbuckle. This works quite well if you have a guy who does the double axe handle attack because even if they reverse it, you won't get hurt. Plus top rope moves do plenty of damage.

Any time there's two guys in the ring, throw one out. Sounds obvious but it works really well for being able to focus on one person and get a quick win on them without having to weaken the other opponent.

Now for the real challenge, have you completed survival mode. The real trick to that as well as making sure you're the guy who eliminates all of the special bonus characters is to make sure other people don't eliminate plenty of enemies. You want to try to have eliminated over 90 guys by the end.

And kudos for noticing Bradshaw was the don of that game. Kane is right up there as well.

Your problem is that you're trying to actually play No Mercy, rather than just making CAWs and simming matches.

Why is that a problem? WWF No Mercy has perhaps the best actual gameplay of any wrestling game. It's incredibly enjoyable. Best Storyline mode ever.

The storyline was great. That game is what 12 years old? Yet it still have a better story than the newer games. I think what Doc was saying is that the CAW was so robust, especially for its time. I think people still use it to simulate e-feds.

This, HCTP is superior in many other ways but Shut Your Mouth had much more various mid-card stories for you to complete and have fun with. To this day it's still my favorite Smackdown game and to me has the best menu screen ever in a wrestling.
