At time's, I miss Shane O'Mac

I will always have a spot in my hart for Shane O'Mac. He is one of the most entertaining people I've ever seen the the WWE. Not only was it great to rote for him, but it was also awesome to watch him get his ass kick. No one took a bump like Shane.

So what was your favorite memory of Shane?

Mine is his match vs. Kurt Angle at King of the Ring.

Not only dose Shane do the shooting star, but the moment on stage was unforgettable. Shane took the suplex to unbroken glass, not once but twice. Me and my friends still talk about that match as one of Shane's finest moments.

So again, what did you like?

I definitely miss him, I still wish to this day it had been him to take a bigger role in the company instead of Stephanie. Shane is really "one of the boys" the bumps, the highspots, everything about the guy was entertaining. He could of been a legit worker if his last name wasn't McMahon. He knows how to milk a crowd as good as anyone who's done it. Everything from his entrance music dance, to his technical ability. I definitely miss him.

As far as memorable moments, he's got a lot but I'm sure the ones that have to stick out are the massive stage dive, and the KOTR match with Angle. Really he didn't ever do anything I didn't like. I really hope he comes back to WWE one day after HHH oversteps his bounds.

I also miss Shane, I thought he was one of the most entertaining guys in the business and could work a great match, despite not being a wrestler. Some of the bumps he took were insane and he was willing to put his body on the line for the benefit of the company, and for that I respect the hell out of him.

He was great on the mic, and was perfectly capable of playing the role as a hated heel and also as someone the fans cared about, which is more than can be said for many wrestlers on the roster today.

I was always secretly hoping Shane would turn out to be the mystery GM, and return to the WWE but his interests outside the wrestling business are supposed to be doing really well and he seems to have cut all ties with the WWE so I doubt we will be seeing him back full time in the near future. Perhaps as a one off on a RAW special, but not as a regular on screen character.

My favourite Shane moment has to be the entire match with Kurt Angle at KOTR, that is one of my favourite matches to this day, it was absolutely brutal. I gained new-found respect for Shane O'Mac after that. An honourable mention has to go to the moment when he appeared on WCW Nitro, announcing he had bought WCW from under the nose of Vince. Great times

"The name on the contract does say McMahon, but it reads SHANE McMahon!" Awesome stuff.

You know, I was just thinking about Shane the other day. I was thinking it would be great if Shane joined TNA and took the role as GM. And I'm not talking about WWE buying TNA; I'm talking about Shane being legitimately employed by TNA in a management position. Being a McMahon, can you imagine what that would do for TNA's product? It would be stellar! There's Shane with Hogan to his right and Bishoff to his left, and then there's the roster fearing a WWE/WCW take over. Jeff Jarret and Kurt Angle lead the effort to try and stop Shane. That would be awesome. Where the hell is Shane, any way?

First time ever posting on WZ so forgive me if i ramble or get off topic. But Shane O'Mac was an absolute favorite. I could never get over the fact that this was the chairman's SON who was doing the coast to coast, going through glass and dropping elbows on people from off the titantron. Always cut decent to good promos. I miss the hell out of him. Now as far as my favorite moment goes, the KOTR with Angle is a amazing match, but hands down for me it has to go to:
The Rock Vs Shane McMahon in a steelcage for the WWF title on Raw May 1st

There is nowhere near the big spots that KOTR had and even though i was a huge Rock mark, all i wanted was to see shane win the belt. Was on the edge of my seat for this one.

It's a tie for me.

Shane vs Test. That one match made me a Shane O Mac fan. The leap of faith from the turnbuckle to the spanish announce table.

When he hit Vince with the Vanterminater (WWE rings are bigger than ECW's) greatest in ring move by any McMahon

I miss Shane as well. He was one crazy SOB back in the day. As much as I would love to see the guy come back he obviously decided he had enough of the WWE and wanted to create his own path. Maybe he will pop up one day, but it sure looks like he's doing his own thing and good on him. Vince I'm sure is fine with it because as we all know he loves people who are smart, business savvy and can make it on their own. (IE JBL). And it looks like Shane took his knowledge and what he was taught from Vince and succeeded.

I, too, miss Shane McMahon. He knows how to get the crowd started, but he knows also what the fans want. I miss the days when he was with his father feuding with DX in 06, and when he bought WCW. My most memorable moment of Shane would have to be when he jumped off the titantron at Unforgiven '01 (correct me if im wrong) on Kane.

I wish Shane took over instead. He would make the company soooo much better. My favorite Shane moment was when he got his nutsack electrocuted by Kane, I still laugh when I think about it.

Wrestlemania 17 deserves a mention. Him vs vince was epic. That coast to coast drop kick garbage can into vinces fucking face was pure bliss.

And of course king of the ring(2001?) when him and kurt had one of the best matches of all time. Fucking epic.

And i think it was backlash when he did that 50+ foot drop. Goddamn i shat a brick when i saw that.

He wasnt the best wrestler but he was damn entertaining. Same with vince. They know how to tell a story and they know their weaknesses so they give us their strengths. For shane it was doing insane stunts and he fucking delivered. :worship:

On-screen, I always appreciated Shane's willingness to attempt crazy sh*t to make his matches more memorable. The elbow drops off the turnbuckle to the table, the suplexes into the unbreakable glass, the titantron falls and his coast-to-coast Van Terminator variant were always great. Even the suplex with HBK off the ladder IN the ring to the tables OUTSIDE of the ring at SNME in 2006 made me mark out a bit.

Off-screen, he seemed to be the guy that was looking out for the future. He was looking into MMA years ago, he lobbied for a Cena heel turn a LONG time ago, and he genuinely seemed to have an eye for where the business was at and where it should go. I was shocked when he announced that he was leaving and I hoped he would have been the one to take over.

I always liked Shane and I wish he was the child of Vince to take over. He always gave the business everything he had, he knew about it from an in and out of ring standpoint, and he had respect from the boys, which I don't think Stephanie has or will have in the future.
