AS7 - James Baker vs. Mr. Baller (Mayhem Championship)

[Phoenix]

James Baker's first defence of the Mayhem Title will be against Mr. Baller, a man who fearlessly demanded a shot for gold, of which Baker accepted the challenge. This is Baker's first appearance on Ascension since being injured by Second Coming a good while back, will the memories play a factor in Baker's defence or will he see off Baller's challenge successfully?

[Baller]

As the camera fades in we see Central Park. The camera then zooms in to a tree in which the leaves are changing colors and falling to the ground. Mr. Baller then enters the scene as we see him catching one of the falling leaves.

Baller: At Lethal Lottery I was an embarrassment, to my coach, my family, my friends, and most importantly myself. I got caught up in the moment of one of the biggest matches of my career and tried to pin somebody in the Lethal Lottery. But that is why I am here in Central Park.


Mr. Baller then stares at the leaf, which is the color orange.

Baller: Like this leaf here, it is beginning to change, similar to myself. I am starting to change as an individual. I am currently the laughingstock of this company and that is not the way it should be. I am better then this and I’m better then all of you. I am going to be a new man, and whether you like it or not you will be forced to respect me.

Mr. Baller drops the leaf and stares straight into the camera

Baller: I have the potential to be a champion in WZCW, and unlike all of you idiots, Vance Bateman sees the potential in me. I have been given the opportunity at the Mayhem title when I face James Baker. James you may be an “extreme gangsta”, but I once lived that “hood life”. But unlike you I am better then that life and got out of that as soon as possible. You see James the last time we saw you on Ascension was on its debut episode. James I am sure you remember that night quite well. It was when you and your partner Kyle Christensen lost to the Second Coming. No not only did you lose that match but the Second Coming attacked you. They shattered your ankle forcing you to leave WZCW.

Mr. Baller picks up a green leaf

Baller: James this leaf represents what is going to happen to you when that Mayhem title is on the line at Ascension, the same damn thing. I am going to hurt you and hurt you bad. The pain will force you to think why you came back to this company once again, as this is what I am going to do to you.

Mr. Baller rips up the green leaf into pieces and then picks up the orange leaf once again

Baller: James at Ascension I will prove why I am a new man and like this leaf I will be a changed man as I wont be consider the loser of the company but I will be known as the Mayhem Champion and your career will once again come to an end.

Mr. Baller drops the leaf as he walks out of Central Park as the camera fades out.

 

[Pimpin]

*The setting is at a catering table in the backstage area where WZCW Mayhem Champion "Da Xtreme Gangsta" James Baker is standing there with his WZCW Mayhem Championship Belt around his waist while his agent Malik Jones is grabbing some food.*

Malik Jones- Damn we got an all you can get buffet up in here.

James- Yeah but shouldn't we leave this alone. I mean this food could be for some special guests that Vance Bateman has comin' by.

Mlaik Jones- So let me get this correct. Did I just hear "Da Xtreme Gangsta" James Baker act all worried about job security? Please tell me you haven't gotten soft?

James- Dammit Malik you know i'm not soft. I'm the Mayhem Champion for cryin' out loud. *****es don't hold championships that say Mayhem on it now do they?

Malik Jones- Well no I don't think so.

James- That's what I thought. End of story.

*Just as James & Malik wrapped up their conversation. WZCW Interviewer Becky Serra then stops right beside them with a microphone in her hand.*

Becky Serra- Hello James & Malik.

James- What's poppin' Becky?

Becky Serra- Well i'm here to give you an interview on your match at Ascension.

James- Cool. "Da Xtreme Gangsta" James Baker makes his return to Ascension & I am up against Mr. Baller right?

Becky Serra- Right & it is for your WZCW Mayhem Championship.

James Baker- Oh cool. Like I said i'll defend the belt against any type of competition.

Becky Serra- So what are your thoughts on the upcoming title defense against Mr. Baller?

James- A while back I said that I made my return because I want to make a real impact, to help resurrect my career & to get back to the top of the wrestling world. Well so far i've done two of the three goals on my list as I won the WZCW Mayhem Championship in my return match & I also made an impression in the Lethal Lottery match.

*James then unstraps the WZCW Mayhem Championship from around his waist & just holds it with his hand.*

James- Now as i've heard around the water cooler, the internet & the television. I'm gonna make my return to Ascension & defend my WZCW Mayhem Championship against Mr. Baller. Now everybody around the world knows what exactly went down the last time I was on Ascension. Second Coming shattered my ankle & put me on the shelf while the low-rate jobber Kyle Christiansen did absolutely nothing to help me out. Lookin' back on that event, I guess I can say that bein' injured by them was all just a blessing in disguise as I got my stuff all sorted out & now i'm the WZCW Mayhem Champion & all of the great fans can be proud of that.

Now Mr. Baller tries to convince all of us that he's startin' to change as an individual & how does he do that? Simple by playin' with a bunch of leaves at Central Park. You are currently the laughing stock of this company & nobody can take that away from you, but if you truly think that you can actual shed the label as the company's resident laughing stock at my expense, well you might wanna think about that a little bit clearly & just reconsider your options here because I am on a path of redemption to once again become a success & not a damn thing will be standing in my way & yes that includes you Mr. Baller.

*James then looks closer into the camera as he then proceeds to place the Mayhem Championship on his right shoulder.*

James- So Mr. Baller. You can think all you want about bein' the Mayhem Champion & takin' me out of WZCW again, but what will truly happen to you is that I will be the dominant force in that ring & all of the pain & suffering that you will endure at Ascension against me will just lead up to the fate that was designed for you & your exact fate is that you will still be the company's resident laughing stock & you will not become the new WZCW Mayhem Champion as long as I am the champion or anywhere near the championship.

So basically you can bring whatever lackluster skills that you have & attempt to try your luck at taking my title away from me, but just like your career so far. Your Mayhem Championship hopes will all go down the toilet in just a quick little flash & guess what? There's not a damn thing that you can do to prevent me from retaining my WZCW Mayhem Championship, believe that.

Becky Serra- Malik. Any thoughts on James' Mayhem Championship match against Mr. Baller?

Malik Jones- Yeah just watch James do his thing out there & he's really focused. He's hungry & he's determined to destroy Mr. Baller. Do you think that this food is for us?

Becky Serra- I don't know Malik.

Mlaik Jones- Well if anybody asks, Hobo's took the food & ran because they were mistaken for V.I.P. people.

Becky Serra- Hahaha alright Malik. Well there you have it there folks. That was James Baker & his agent/friend Malik Jones & with James all fired up for his first WZCW Mayhem Championship defense against Mr. Baller. I am Becky Serra & I can say that my job here is done for the day. See ya later fans.

*The camera then shuts off as James Baker & Malik Jones then head off with the food from the catering table while Becky Serra watches them with amusement on her face.*

 

[Baller]

The camera fades in to the backstage area as we see Malik Jones and WZCW Mayhem Champion James Baker walking off with some food. The camera then heads to the right in which Becky Serra is still standing by the snack table, as Mr. Baller then walks in.

Baller: Shit man, does James and his follower Malik think they can take whatever they want.

Becky is a panic mindset

Becky: The…They didn’t take anything, I swear. It was a bunch of hobos.

Baller: Don’t you try to play games with me, I heard everything. How about you interview the NEXT WZCW Mayhem Champion, while you are here.

Becky is shaking uncontrollably

Becky: Uhhh, ok. What made you decide to challenge James Baker for the Mayhem Title?

Mr. Baller is infuriated by the question but calms himself down in order to respond

Baller: You see Becky, this isn’t just a stupid rookie just trying to challenge a champion just to say I fought in WZCW Title Match. No, it is nothing like that. Despite what you think I picked a champion that I knew I could beat. James Baker knows his history on Ascension, and he knows that I know it as well. I have studied James with Coach and we know his weaknesses as well as his strengths and we are going to focus on exploiting those weaknesses. I am going to attack hurry and attack him hard, because he will be trepid in the beginning of his first match back on the show that almost ended his career. And that’s when I will make my mark.

Becky: James Baker just said you were the company’s laughing stock and that after your match on Ascension you will remain that. What are your thoughts on this comment?

Mr. Baller is once again outraged by the question

Baller: My thoughts?!?! What do you think my thoughts are Becky? How the hell did you get a job as an interviewer with that kind of question? James Baker you are just like every single one of these people in WZCW. You think that just because of my past in WZCW that I am going to be a walk in the park. Well guess what. You are wrong. Like I said in Central Park, I am turning a new leaf. But because you are such a stupid delinquent who doesn’t know how to back of gangs, I will dumb it down a bit. Me plus you on Ascension equal ME raising the WZCW Mayhem Championship.

Becky is about to wet her pants in fear knowing Mr. Baller is about to snap

Becky: That concludes our interv…

Mr. Baller takes the mic out of Becky’s hand. Becky stares into Mr. Baller’s eyes and realizes that this is a new man with a new mission.Becky quickly escapes before Mr. Baller can lay a paw on her.

Baller: Oh and James one last thing. Unlike what you did to my food, I am going to earn what is mine, and what is mine is the Mayhem Title.

Mr. Baller drops the mic and raises his arm as if he had the title in his arms as the camera fades out.
