Well Ladies and Gentleman, WZCW Apocalypse is drawing near and the Pay Per View is shaping up rather fast. We got some gruelling rivals and hot matches appearing on this show and we even have some matches yet to be confirmed. Let's take a closer look at what's to come.
We'll go to an unanswered question so far that and is what is happening with the Mayhem Championship at Apocalypse? Currently no-one knows, the only thing for certain is that the champion will either be The Killjoy or Gordito who face off for the title this week. Vance Bateman has been working on an idea all this week and word is that he is due to announce it this week on Meltdown 41 after the title match itself. Stay tuned on that one!
The other two matches still unconfirmed for this are regarding the Elite X and Tag Team Championship, we know that Austin Reynolds and The Ghetto Stars will be defending their belts on the Pay Per View, but the question remains as to who their challengers are.
For Austin Reynolds, it's between his rival Chris Beckford and former Mayhem Champion Scott Hammond, he will be on Meltdown to over see this match at commentary and then will compete alongside Big Dave against his new challenger who teams with Blade on Ascension before reaching Apocalypse.
For The Ghetto Stars, it will be either the newcomers Pride of Toyota or former champions Heavy Artillery, of which will be discovered by the time Ascension ends. But the biggest question regarding the defence is the fitness of James Baker, he took a huge knock against Max Karzai last week and will be on the sidelines for this week in a hope to reach Apocalypse and increase his team's chances of defending the Tag Team Championship.
Moving away from championships now as we focus on what has been one of the most heated rivalries of recent times as former members of Second Coming Garth Black and Phoenix will compete in a Last Man Standing Match. There are no disqualifications and the only way to win is to beat your opponent so he can't answer the ten count. Garth got the win against Phoenix at Redemption last month, but Phoenix has refused to back down ever since, will Phoenix get the satisfaction he desires as this rivalry comes to a close?
Next we move on to a tale of two different superstars as USA who's been rising up takes on the former World Heavyweight Champion Everest who's been on a slight downward spiral since losing the belt at Kingdom Come. These two have been getting in each other's faces quite a bit of late and have been interferring in each other's matches in order to send a message. What will happen when these two finally meet in singles action at Apocalypse?
The EurAsian Championship is on the line as Blade finally made his choice and invoked his title opportunity he earned at Kingdom Come to take on the dominant EurAsian Champion Big Dave. While Big Dave is no stranger to gold, this is Blade's first ever opportunity to win a championship and as stated on Meltdown, he wants to feel like he's earnt that victory when he takes on the champion who has been quite unstoppable of late. Big Dave's form has been impressive and has even defeated Blade on his way to the EurAsian Championship, but he will expect a different kind of Blade in a championship bout, will Blade finally grab the brass ring or will Dave make his challenger keep on dreaming?
One rivalry gets revived as former EurAsian and Mayhem Champions Showtime Cougar and Ty Burna will face off in singles action. These two are familiar with each other from earlier bouts but as time has grown, so have these two in their strength, ability and tactics as WZCW Superstars. Both men have found it hard to keep themselves seperated but while their objective to finishing off their rival is at hand, they must have one eye on an opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship.
And finally we have another famous rivalry revived as the World Heavyweight Championship is on the line as Titus defends against long time rival Vengeance. These two have had great matches in the past over the Elite X Championship, but a year has near since passed and now they're on a different playing field with the World Title on the line. While Vengeance has come so close and failed to claim the title, Titus managed to get it right first time. Who will be ready to show that despite feuding a year ago, they are the one that is superior enough to be call the World Heavyweight Champion?
It's one pay per view not to be missed and it will air live on Sunday June 27th, Apocalypse is imminent!
