AoN: Discussion Rush (c) vs. Matt Tastic - EurAsian Title (Last Chance Match)

Matt Tastic and Rush have been joined at the hip for the last couple of months. Now, they find themselves on the tail end of a Best of Three Series. The score is tied 1-1, and either man could walk away the victor. This past week on Meltdown, an added stipulation was put into place for the match. Both men agreed to not pursue each other any longer concerning the EurAsian Championship. That means that this is a Last Chance Match for both men. With Rush coming off of a loss and Tastic nearly broken, this match is highly unpredictable.​

Like I said in feedback last week, this is a classic monster vs. underdog face feud, and I love it. For me, the best case scenario would be Tastic pulling out the win. He finally makes it to the mountaintop and wins gold, while Rush has more venom against the company due to the last chance stipulation. Either way, this will end what has been a very good feud and we'll see new challengers lining up no matter who walks out with the title.

The third match was the right call after a match that in my mind was more difficult to split than at Unscripted. The Last Chance stip should spice things up too.

Tastic would be a great champion and Rush would be excellent in the deserved main event run that he will have to get after this. That being said, I dont know who will win here. As even as it could possibly be.

Perhaps the most tense match of the evening. One man rises, the other falls. Oh the stories that could be told...anyway, I voted the complete opposite way to the winners on both matches (Rush was my pick to win last round and Tastic had my vote in the first encounter) so I'll be damned if I know who's winning here. It'll be a close call no doubt.

I honestly thought both matches should've gone opposite to the ways they did as well, but it doesn't matter now because the outcome is the same.

The best of three series has been fun to read so far, a loss won't hurt Rush, he has the balls to bounce back and humble some more youngsters, but I always get a sense with Tastic that the next setback will be one setback to many, he's always proved me wrong up until now though.

Count me three on the match results being reversed, but I think that's just fine and indicates how close these two are all of a sudden. The rubber match will be a barn burner. Rush is such a great heel it's ridiculous, and Matt Tastic as the scrappy underdog is a role he seems to relish in as a face.

Tastic needs this win far more then Rush. Tastic's always been just right there, and this is one of his biggest opportunities. Rush has had a great run as Eurasian Champion, but I think he's above the title now and a slow rise to the Main Event scene would be great for him. I would put him as a favorite for the LL as well. Tastic could do great things with the Eurasian title, and I think it's well deserved for KJ. He's put so much work into the fed and a run with the Eurasian Title would be fanstastic (pun intended).

The difficult thing for both guys in this, is having already faced off four times already in such a short time frame. How much material do you have left to use? What else can you say about your opponent that hasn't already been said? This may lead to a small advantage to Tastic as he can create a better scene with his style of writing.

I'm saying Tastic, but it's going to be an upset if he does it.

Both did great this round but I'm giving it to Tastic so Rush can win the LL and become World Champion. Just my guess.

Kayfabe, Tastic should be beaten to a pulp and then pulls out the big, monumental upset victory.

Realistically... I have no idea how this is going to turn out. Normally I'm fairly confident in how my RPs match up, but for the past two rounds Tastic has been nailing it.

I look forward to the results either way and where I can take Rush post AON.

This one really has me biting my nails. So damn close each and every time. And Rush & Merk have really forced me to step up over the year.

I've read nearly every RP this round, the only ones I havent read are a few of the battle royal ones and for me Rush has the RP of the round here. I feel for Tastic and maybe the people who count will see it differently from me as they so often do but I think Rush has completely nailed it and could've knocked off anybody with that.

If you're right, Miko, then in really feel distressed for Tastic. Unfortunately for him, I don't see him going anywhere other than down if he can't get a win. He's had so many chances at winning some gold and never taken them.

So where would Tastic go? Rush could go anywhere and carry it off. But Tastic needs this. He needs to win this belt to give him some momentum.

Whether this is him finally grabbing the brass ring, I don't know.
