ANZAC Day

On April the 25th 1915 a British Force made up of New Zealand and Australian as well as other members of the British Empire landed on the Beaches of Gallipoli and sustained heavy casualties. Today is a Day of Rememberance for those that fought for New Zealand and Australia in the wars that they have been involved in and have lost lives.

They shall not grow old as those that are left grow old. Age will not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we shall remember them.

There was a pretty large (well large for us anyway) Irish force who took part in that battle too. As far as I remember it Churchill who organised it and was remremanded for it.
