Today, Vance Bateman finally issued a statement regarding the current World Title situation. Rather than spoil the surprise ourselves, the full statement and the amazing news it contains can be found below.

"The Board of Directors have deemed it neccesary for me to make the following statement regarding the current state of the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship. After the actions of Joseph Rios, Chuck Myles and indeed Dynasty as a whole over the previous months, the Board has seen fit to vacate the Title. After Big Wills victory at Kingdom Come, the Board did re-evaluate whether or not the title would still need to be vacated, but as of 2:00pm this afternoon the Board have reached the unanimous decision that Big Will's involvement with Dynasty presents too many questions to allow him to keep hold of the World Championship.

As a result of this ruling, I have the duty to announce that there will be a Championship Chase Tournament for the vacated World Heavyweight Championship, resulting in a new Champion being crowned at our next pay per view event. To qualify for the Championship Chase Tournamen, certain criteria was looked at and checked against in order to present not only an enjoyable event for our fans, but a fair contest that allowed the best and most deserving superstars a shot at the World Championship. As such, the following superstars have been chosen by the Board to be apart of the tournament: The pinnacle of perfection, Everest. The hardcore juggalo, Alex Bowen. The unkown quality, Vengeance. The icon of insanity, Steamboat Ricky. Summersides own, Eric Derf. The thunder from down under, Daniel Stokes. The pride of Japan, Hatchiyama Manzo. Finally, after careful consideration, the final contender named for the Championship Chase Tournament, The One Big Will.

Whilst the Board considers Big Will's case strong enough to qualify him to earn back the World Championship, at this time due to the investigations ongoing into the action of Chuck Myles, Joseph Rios will be exempt from the Championship Chase. The brackets and rules for the tournament will be announced in the following few days once the Board has had enough time to finalise their decision. I would like to thank you all for your time."

So there we have it, huge news from the Board of Directors representative there, naming eight new number one contenders for the World Heavyweight Championship. Perhaps even bigger news is that our former champion Joseph Rios will not be eligable for the Championship Chase. Surely the 'Main Event' will have something to say about this on MELTDOWN, but seemingly his association with Chuck Myles is costing him more than he bargined for. Stay tuned to WZCW.Com for more developments as and when they occur.
