we still have some good talent, so summerslam isnt done yet, besides, its not over till the fat lady sings, therefore i still have some faith that summerslam could be good, besides, we just got sin cara, we have sheamus, daniel bryan, john morrison, cena, triple hhh, the current tag team champs gabriel and slater, edge, christain, chris masters, kane, big show, rey mysterio and maybe a couple other guys, if wwe could think up some good matchs, summerslam should be good.

I hate to bursts anyone's bubble here. But, I hope you all realize that this only means that The Rock is going to disappear from WWE and will come back when its getting close to Mania28 time. If you really think think he's gonna stick around, y'all must be dilusional. He's got no interest in sticking around for so long, risking injuries and what not. From what I read he's gonna start filming his new movie in June. Don't expect a year long program between Rock and Cena from now til then. I think tonight we all may have seen the last of The Great One til just a little before WM 28. Now, onto the topic, I do prefer that this match be at Mania and not Summerslam. SS has unfortunately become very unmemorable, so it would not do it justice. Mania 28 is a perfect stage for this match. it will indeed become a battle of the eras. HOGAN/ROCK at wm18 was an ok match (hogan couldn't move worth crap, Rock carried him the entire match). And right now Cena and Rock are both in good condition (I agree with whoever said that Rock needs to get in shape!). They will be able to put on a decent and entertaining match! We'll have to wait and see!

actually i was a bit disappointed cuz this means the rocks probably last match will result in him losing. and we can all be sure that hes getting inducted next year... i never really wanted to see cena vs rock at wrestlemania at least.

i was hoping for austin vs rock IV with the rock winning evening up the score 2-2 and in the end a handshake and the rock poses and everything with HOPEFULLY JR and King saying something emotional like they usually do

rock vs austin 4 would suck because of Austin's health and Rock's ring rust. Rock vs Cena will get huge draws and be a monumental match. I know people from the 80s who hated late 90s wrestling because there was too much talk and too much vulgarity. You sound exactly like one of those old guys stuck in the past and letting nostalgia get the best of you.

The rumor was that Stephanie and Vince were deciding where Rock/Cena should happen and the two events were this year's SS or WM28. It seems WM28. I don't mind it and I'm happy the match is going to happen at long last. But...it does mean that SS is ruined. I mean seriously the only two matches that could possibly draw a crowd is Orton vs Cena for WWE Title or Miz vs HHH for the WWE title.

Wrestlmania 28 = Long term investment with a HUGE pay out. Sorry that they are literally going old school on you to bring the money in. Mark this down I am predicting that The Rock vs. John Cena will be the main event but the rest of the card will be amazing as well. You will have a much more solidified Main Event Scene going into Mania 28 and that will draw in more interest.

The Bottom line is The Rock and John Cena will make it worth waiting for!

Very well put, WrestleMania 28 equals long term investment, announcing Rock VS Cena now is Gold, fans have salavited for this for a while so giving it to us but making us wait is genius.

How many people felt let down by Mania27?
I did, I thought it felt rushed and a major let down but this announcement has more than made up for it.

Now on to WrestleMania 27 not being that great, it's simple WWE didn't have a good idea of what direction they were going, Christian, Undertaker, HHH all being injured add others like Rey (injury prone) WWE did the best with what they had, thou in hindsight they could of done a bit more with what they did but WrestleMania 28 they already have the Main event now it's giving HHH/Taker/Kane/Big Show, Care/Rey (absolute classic written all over it)

I'm already looking forward to 28, after a lackluster 27.
