Who says we don't have a right to our opinions ? Vince and several wrestlers have used many forums to tell us things that happen behind the scenes from their perspective to get us to see the situation from their point of view.
Here's an example:
WWE contacts the Rock to show up at the WWE Hall of Fame to induct his father and his grandfather. At this HoF, they also induct Rick Flair. Now the Rock shows up and is pretty funny, inducts his family and he leaves cuz he's busy. Rick Flair is inducted and in his speech, he talks about how a wrestler he admired didn't up and leave and go to Hollywood like some people. I believe that statement he made is a shot at the Rock. maybe it was Hogan, but since Rock was there, Triple H supposedly has disdain for the Rock (as said to be so by Bret Hart, Rocky Johnson, Triple H and HBK in statements live on Raw), it seems to me it's logical that the Rock is the intended object of his disdain. Rick is entitled to his own opinion and has a right to say it. That being said, to look at this, that was a personal gripe he had with the Rock, why did he have to share that with the audience at the HoF ? Why did he have to expose personal feelings about some one he doesn't know ? What business is it of Rick Flair's, Triple H etc., if Rock wants to try his hand at acting ? They're not supporting his family. Rick doesn't have a clue the bullshit Rock went through behind the scenes in the beginning when he first started. See Rick's speech exposed the behind the scenes ugliness not the fans.
Another example: Scott Steiner shoots on Rick Flair on Monday Night Nitro. I must be honest, I find it to be one of the most hilarious shoots, I've ever seen. I'm not a fan of Flair, which is no excuse. And I don't like it when my favourites are criticized, but I have to be real, I laughed my ass off. I know I'm wrong for that and Steiner shouldn't have said that in public, that being said, who exposed the backstage conflict there ? It was the performer.
My point is that Al Snow complaining about us commenting on things behind the scenes, is a little unfounded. We live in a different age of internet, wrestling websites, wrestling magazines and authors of wrestling books, who have found and exposed many things backstage that wouldn't have seen the light of day decades ago. Promoters and bookers have all spoken about behind the scenes. The truth is we didn't open the floodgates of behind the scenes conflicts and such information, performers did. SO if performers don't want to keep their mouths shut, Snow should blame them not us.
