I know a lot of people typically dislike Steam because it's a bit invasive, but I don't typically have a problem with it. Not a huge fan of not being able to play my purchased games offline, but whatever. I deal. It works for me in my situation because I'm in a very rural area and it's inconvenient to get to a brick and mortar store to buy a game.
So... they have this deal where you can pre-order Red Faction Guerrilla and get RF1&2 for free. $40 for 3 games... pretty good deal. So I did this and as it turns out, RF1&2 don't work. The first one has major gameplay issues related to frame rate (as in, PCs today producing such a high rate that it causes issues), and the second one just plain won't load at all because of a VRAM detection issue.
Just a heads up to you guys, then, not to make the same mistake I did. At least not yet. Supposedly Steam is working on fixing these issues but who knows how long that'll be, and in the mean time, I can't play two of the games I bought.
Caveat emptor, huh?
