A New Gimmick For The Burchills

Paul could pass for Triple H, right? Whatever, he doesn't need to look exactly like him. Long hair, beard, speedos, knee braces, a bit dull. Yeah, Burchill could easily pull of Triple H.

Throw in Katie Lea as a revised/piss take version of the Billion Dollar Princess and you might have and intresting angle. Triple H doesn't even need to face off with him. It can start now and end when The Game eliminates Paul from the 2010 Royal Rumble.

Anything's better than the incest angle they were rumoured to go with. This way Burchill actually gets something to do and HHH gets to get a win in a feud he was never invovled in. Win win all around.

They do need to do something with Katie Lea though. She looked like she could actually work a match, unlike other Divas. She needs to feud with Natalya. Surely you should have the eye candy as the managers and the ones that can wrestle as the in ring talent? Ah well.

Actually, the incest angle would have been world's better than what they are doing now. At least they would have had a gimmick to get people talking. Today, they have no gimmick, whatsoever.

But that is the way Vince wants things. He doesn't want gimmicks in wrestling anymore, evidently. Which is why even suggesting the possibility of a new "gimmick" for them is rather pointless, since Vince believes in personalities, not gimmicks any longer.

The incest or the Trips-rip-off gimmick would both be better than no gimmick. Burchill is floundering on ECW, for God's sake. He appears to be a decent worker and Katie Lea has a shitload of sex appeal which should help garner at least a little bit of interest in the duo. There is no reason why he hasn't been given a proper gimmick and storyline to work with. How the hell are we ever going to know if he's any good?

Bring back the priate gimmick!Hell,it almost worked in 05' and then they went nowhere with it.Also let him use that flipping rock-bottom finisher,that was great.Was just watchign a few videos from him and he got a some good crowd reaction back when Velocity was around.That could have translated into an even bigger crowd reaction when he could have been put into the mid-card.

Honestly they just need to give him more mic time, and a decent feud. I don't see why he hasn't been in a solid feud with Finlay. Those two could have a solid feud. It would be better than what Finlay is doing now which is close to nothing. That way Finlay can bring a distant cousin Sheamus O' Shaunessy to finish the feud with Burchill. Honestly the only thing holding Paul down is a solid, consistent feud. Finaly then Sheamus would be nice to see, and it would be a sound way to put Paul over.

The only way a HHH-like gimmick is going to work for Burchill is if Vince has another daughter who needs a husband !!

I like the idea of the Sheamus O' Shaunessy feud... but will fans actually be able to get behind a Finley / Burchill feud ?? Especially on ECW where there's arguably been the best wrestling over the past few months. Those two guys may bore me to death before Shaunessy makes an appearance.

Personally, I thought Burchill was great when he was spoofing Christian Bale. Now, if he had done THAT, when complaining to Tiffany about not appearing on ECW in a while, that would've been great. I mean, everyone's heard about the Bale incident. People'd probably get a kick out of it.....I know I would.

As for the new Triple H/SMH? There's just not enough time on a one hour show for that. Sure, it might work on Smackdown, but when so many wrestlers are just competing for air-time, it would be difficult to do.

burchill in my opinion is one of the best wrestlers in the wwe and is severely underrated i have followed this guy from his early days in the fwa promotion in England and when i now see him in wwe he is a shadow of his former self to anyone who wants to see what this guy is capable of check this link as this is a completely different better wrestler to the one wwe makes him portray.

Exactly right, and if many even knew how awesome he is in the ring we wouldn't be so hard on the man. The WWE should let him wrestle, and show off his skills. Honestly when he re-debuted in the WWE again I thought of gimmick for him. Paul "The Predator" Burchill. It sounds nice, and would go solid with the character that I thought of. Basically he stalks his foe until eye to confrontation, suprise attacks etc... It could have been something for the fans to take notice of at first. Once that is over slowly mature into something less commercialised. Maybe turning in to the "Ripper" as mentioned above. You know tell a story through his aliases.

he uses a jumping kneckbreaker (looks alot like a reverse RKO)

If they are using him as a enhancement talent then that sucks. He is a big guy who is amazingly agile. He has proved in the past he is good on the mic. I will admit his look is lacking and hasn't really had a good gimmick since they retired the pirate (oh and his pirate finisher was beyond awesome) but hopefully that might change (and hopefully not via future endeavures)

might as well find a partner for them to give them a little go..so why not fellow english men dj gabriel..
yeah they might have had a little feud a couple months ago but gabriels been off tv long enough for people to "forget" so i say why not start a team with the 3 of them and they'd be a dirty english tag team who feuds with heels and faces that way they can go after the tag titles no matter whos champ
