QOTSA take this one for me. While they're best remembered by people as "that band that had Dave Grohl as the drummer for like a month", they're a lot more then that. Their latest album is great, and I find them to be one of the few redeeming qualities to modern rock radio. If only bands would take their cues from bands like this or The Strokes instead of Korn and Seether.

Lacuna Coil are...meh. Don't find them to be too good. Something about metal and a female vocalist just doesn't mix with me. It just doesn't sound good, and I have no issue with female singers at all (The Breeders, Pretty Girls Make Graves, The Pretenders, all great female vocalist led bands). Just doesn't do it for me.

Went with QOTSA. Listen to "Sick Sick Sick", great song.
