90's Region - 4th Round - Married…with Children vs Frasier

Fraiser has to go over here, as the smartest successful comedy ever on television versus another comedy... That had a dog that began to talk. Fraiser would last for 11 years, a very long time for a sitcom, especially now adays, and never got stale. Emmies for actor, secondary actor, and many others shows the worth of Fraiser.

Married With Children gets my vote. It was the quintessential sitcom to me, especially since I grew up on it. Ed O'Neil was amazing as Al Bundy. He really seemed to live and breath the whole depressed husband who hated his life role, I don't know if that was a good thing but it sure as hell made the character that much better. The cast as a whole had a such great chemistry, they seemed like a legit, dysfunctional family. Kelly and Bud always made me laugh my ass off.

Who the fuck keeps voting for Frasier? Don't get me wrong, it was a good show, but it's run has ended. On one hand, we have a show which was a spin-off of one of the more minor characters from Cheers, which was never even the biggest show on its night (thanks Friends), and on the other hand, we have a television show almost single-handedly responsible for the prosperity of an entire TV Network.

This is a no-brainer. Married With Children is the obvious, and easy, winner here.

I went with Frasier, but for no real reason. I think they're both alright, and both good for a few laughs an episode, but both are quite formulaic, and neither are particularly influential. It was basically a case of which have I seen most recently, which was Frasier in this case, so it got the vote.

Married With Children is one of the greatest, most ground-breaking sitcoms of all time. There was no television show that pushed the bill more than this one did. It was a sitcom completely directed at the adult male demographic. And it was one of the first regular television shows to showcase porn stars on their episodes!!! EPIC WIN!!!

MWC, easily. I didn't start watching it until about a month or 2 ago when I found it in the depths of my TV, and I absolutely love it. I'll watch it anytime it comes on in any situation. Really funny and edgy show.

Fraiser was just boring for me, but once again, it's likely because I'm not "smart" enough.

This one was difficult for me to choose, as I am a fan of both shows. I knew that Married with Children had allot of fans on this site, and I have been pleasantly surprised to find that Frasier also has quite a few fans on the board.

As far as sheer entertainment value goes, MWC has Frasier beat. The older episodes of Fraiser are great, with the Niles/ Daffney awkward relationship, Frasier and his father's odd couple like relationship, and Fraiser's bumbling love life. However, MWC went strong since the moment it started until the last episode.

The last season of Fraiser, despite circumstances, I didn't enjoy as much as the older episodes. The show didn't fizzle out, but it never reached any new heights. For example, if both these shows were to play a game of golf, MWC would birdie every hole, while Fraiser would be reduced to par's and the occasional bogey towards the end.

My vote goes to Frasier because I Never really got into Married with Children, It was a good show but I Personally think that Frasier is better because Married with children was funny but Frasier was funnier. Also Frasier had smart Story lines and because of that Frasier gets my vote
