Well they managed it, wrestling back on primetime TV in the UK under the classic World of Sport brand. They had JR which worked well and some good matches, defo family friendly stuff but on the whole I can see why WWE were worried enough to try and create their own competition for it. Major downer for me was the ending (Spoilers) Spoiler I felt that Harry/Bulldog should have replaced the "injured" Grado, similar to Hogan and Bret. It would have been a better and more fitting for the story they were telling of Davey Sr. being "the best ever" but I guess Grado is on US TV so it made some sense... To be fair I didn't catch the whole thing as I had the Liverpool game on as well, but it seemed a good start and if the ratings are remotely decent, I am sure they'll do it again - only real thing is they need to bring in a better authority figure to make it work... I am guessing Max Beesly Jr's money played a role in the show getting made at all, perhaps if they could get him into the mix with his dad as a UK McMahon type family, it might help them get picked up and a couple of bigger names talent wise... Seemed a waste to bring Harry Smith over and use him as they did, perhaps they're waiting on someone like Stu Bennett or Drew Galloway to decide if they want to be part of it or not. Not 100% certain they'd stay on ITV or in this timeslot, but it could be a fun lead in show for The Voice/X-Factor/Talent.
