Ok, seeing as the not eligible thread really got me thinking about the 60s film industry, I was just wondering, which decade would you class as the greatest in cinema history?

And its not just how successful a film has been, im talking about how much that decade changed cinema history, with things like special affects, genre and films that remain immensly popular to this day.

For example, some might say the 70s because of the huge success of Star Wars, which changed the way merchadise is sold to the masses.

I will say the 90s are the best decade in film. Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, Titanic, and Saving Private Ryan. One of these movies has a great chance of taking home the Number 1 spot. There is a reason why these movies are in the top tiers. I just wonder if the last round will go 70s vs 80s, 90s vs 00s, or will they have a class of 8 or so fight from there.
