I grew up on Doo Wop and R&B. Later on I listened to hip hop which is a natural progression. But I grew up listening to the Platters, Marvin Gaye, Smoky Robinson and those cats.

I still listen to this stuff today, my dad use to (and still does) play all these great albums. Some of my fondest memorys are me and him driving to Colorao listening to Jimi Hendrix when I was like 6. I had a short stint listening to shitty pop rap, then went back to listening to great music like this.
