Right, we need one of these gents.

Is anyone following IPL at the moment? Any non-Indians interested in this tourney?

IPL has been surprisingly good this year. (Not so much for the bowlers though )

Don't be much surprised if only me, you and Rattlesnake post in this thread.

It's on all the time in work because the Indians steal the TV remote and hide it.

    It's fucking shit.

LOL, Lee. Guess you were at the recieving end of some hiding, stealing and watching cricket.

IPL has been good. Pune Warriors and the Daredevils are the two teams to watch out for this year, imo. Both have made surprisingly large improvements.

Completely agree. T-20 is more like a quick snack whereas a Test is more like a whole meal.

Did anyone watch the recent SA-NZ test series? It was amazing.

One thing I learnt about thw WI team is that they have some really great game-changers. However there is so much chopping and changing in their squad they aren't allowed to be a cohesive unit.

And now you're using wrestling lingo in the IPL, we need to cleanse you.

Anyway, man oh man, Ganguly really rolled back the years yesterday. Seeing him take KP's wicket and then run in celebration reminded me of the Sahara Cup of 97 in Toronto. And you know what, fuck all that smiling and hahas, I wanna see some grit and desire to win in these players. Dada brings that intensity. And I have a thread idea.

    Quick! To the Sports Section!

The SA Vs NZ test series was just painful to watch. Hopefully the NZ tour to the windies is better, there should be a good new bowler coming through since he has received confirmation that his residence to qualify for playing for the country is good.

I'm assuming that you are from New Zealand. A new bowler should be a good addition, but it is their batting that really needs to improve. They have talented guys but they need to play with consistency.

Who is the new bowler? I think it is someone from SA.

K Pietersen is not much of a flat-track bully. Not as much as Sehwag though .

    RCB vs RR.

The MI-KXIP one was good. KXIP's fielding was quite impressive.

I fell asleep during the DC-KKR one.

That young South African guy, damn it I just read about him like 4 days, whats his name?

Hits the track hard. Kinda like every other SA paceman.

Morkel has been the bowler of the tourney for me.

    yeah he is a Saffa.

I am looking forward to seeing how this new Leggy comes along as well. Vettori is on his way out after a long and distinguished career, hopefully he realises that as the team needs to learn how to play without him. Southee has been destroyed as a test player by death bowling in T20 and Limited overs, which is a shame for one of the promising young guys in the NZ team. There is a strong core that could be built on to create a team like the Aussies of the 90s and 2000s, the Indian teams of the 2000s, ancient Windies teams of the 70s. But it won't happen because there is a lack of mental fortitude right now, John Wright could bring that to the team hopefully.

Haven't seen him play too many good innings on good tracks. But yeah, he cannot be as bad as Sehwag. I also get the feeling that Pietersen does not time the ball all that well most of the time but his immense power does the job for him.

And the South African bowler, his name is Neil Wagner, right?
