How in the FUCK am I one of the only people to vote for Lariat? What is wrong with you people?

:disappointed:

Sorry Razor...Lariat enticed me with Kenta Kobashi and pungent marijuana.

So I'll bet you're wondering, why should you vote for Tenta.....

Well, because without Razor here, I'm the most diverse rookie you got here. All of these are recognizable for something. Lariat for Old School. ST for TNA. Sidious for WWE (He'd actually be my second choice). All of them think staying to one area will get them to modship. Meanwhile, IK went on posting everywhere. You look around, and my presence is felt everywhere. And of all rookies, my work is the best. Look at the JTMFTG. And Tenta's Fifty Nifty. As a matter of fact, it tends to weaken my overall product. I've brought the most discussion, and put up some of the most interesting topics to discuss. Who else has the balls to discuss Andre and The Undertaker. Or has the guts to debate any poster, regardless of rank.

Look, the choice is obvious, and if you don't vote me, my choice is Sidious. The guy is brilliant, and stirs up conversation. Then Savagetaker. Then my old school compadre The Lariat.

But all of that becomes null. Because you should vote for me. Period

I went with GD as he's one of my favourite posters on the forums but Lariat would of been a close second.

Very difficult choice. Switch the places of INDYjon and Razor, put a line right after Razor's name and you have the correct separation when it comes to the rookies. I had to literally sit here for like 15 minutes to decide. I wasn't going to cheapen the vote by casting for myself. I know I'm not close to being a part of the top right now. Those at the top know they are great posters, and truly deserve their votes. In the end I went with Tenta, but just barely above D-Man. This is likely going to be a two-horse race between Tents and D-Man, and if either of them wins it, amazing. Whoever wins this truly deserves it. We had a hell of a rookie class, and for me to even be mentioned with the likes of Lariat, Tenta, D-Man, ST, Razor, Dave, and Phoenix, is awesome. They truly are the tops of the class.

Side note: Thriller, don't vote for me based on our mentor/mentee relationship, vote for who you think is the best rookie.

There's only one person who truly deserves this, D-MAN!

This guy has come in and taken the forums by storm! If many of think Sidious is great then look at D-Man. He always brings his A-Game whenever he posts and on top of that, he will show respect to other posters and have a laugh at the same time. I think he is the guy that is more deserving of this award than anyone else, even me. D-Man should be the guy who deserves it, no offence to anyone else, but he seriously is a man who is rightfully should be called the rookie of the year!

I think my back is against the wall now. It's now known who the underdog is...and it's the Lariat. Make history. Make a vote for Lariat happen and help me chop down this big lead that Tenta and D-Man have. They're great posters, but seriously. I have punch and pie. And women. And weed. Well, some weed. So VOTE. Vote for Mr. Lariato.

I have no idea how Tenta qualified for this reward? M_F was in the same boat last year and he was DQ'd... With that being said I went with D-Man...

Best rookie class ever.

I went with D-Man, not because he's a friend, but because in his first year he's already nominated for Best Overall Poster AND is in the finals of the debate league. Hell of a first year.

D-Man's pretty awesome, and because he's shared some awesome porn convention pics with us, he wins out for me here.

That being said, this is an impressive group of rookies, it's an honor to just be nominated.

This rookie class was incredible, and I wish I could have voted for everyone (save a few...)

However, I voted for Tenta. Yeah, he's my friend, but he's an incredible poster and has improved a gazillionfold from his first post.

You could also vote for me out of pity.

Basically, vote for everyone.

So, I guess this is where I put in my two cents and hope for the best... There's not many times that I get 100% serious when addressing all of you, but this is going to be one of those times.

First off, thanks to everyone that has voted for me thus far. It's quite a surprise to see the amount of support that I have been given in this poll. Honestly, I didn't think I stood a chance in this category because my competition is extremely fierce. Just thinking about it makes me nervous. Even worse, all of the 2009 rookies have become my friends. And for those who know me personally, being a friend of mine is very important and goes a long way. However, only one person can win this thing and I'd like the be that guy.

Since I was referred to this site in January, I've made it my duty to stir up excitement, spread knowledge, and most of all, learn from all of you. I tried to make myself a part of everything this site has to offer without reservations. I've discussed issues in the Cigar Lounge, joked around in the Bar Room, had discussions in the WWE and TNA threads, posted in the Sports section, and talked about the UFC in the MMA section. Most of all, I've really come out of my shell in the Debator's League, in which I have gained the priviledge of facing IrishCanadian25 in the finals this week. It's been a really fun year and I WILL continue putting my efforts into this website for years to come.

My goal on this site is to become a hybrid of wrestling knowledge and all-around fun. I want to continue my contributions, make more friends, and keep everyone entertained by everything that I become a part of. I think I've already done that this year. And just as a reminder, here are my accomplishments of 2009:

- I gained a full bar of green rep before I reached 100 posts
- I have earned multiple nominations in some of the top categories in the Posters EOY Awards
- I've improving constantly with my posting ability and getting out of the IC's shadow
- I've made it to the finals of the Debator's League against some of the strongest posters on this site
- I have created a thread on Wrestlezone that has been well-known on two other forums besides this one
- Not to mention I've also introduced new, innovative, and interactive threads that have drawn in some interesting replies and good volume
- I've introduced many to the site and helped it gain new members
- I love porn, porn stars, and enjoy meeting and taking pictures with them and posting them on this site (Had to throw that one in there)

So, I ask of all of you that haven't voted yet to please consider me so I can feel rewarded for all of the hard work I've put towards Wrestlezone throughout the year. And for those who have given me their vote, I don't even need to tell you how much I appreciate it.

Good luck to the other amazing rookies, thanks to everyone, and don't forget to VOTE FOR THE D-MAN!!!

With all due respect to the other candidates, it's becoming fairly clear to me that this has become a two horse race. And I'm pretty confident I expected it to be me and D-Man. First of all, I must say, I'm saddened. This really should be a neck in neck race between four or five posters. The Lariat and ST deserve more votes, plain and simple, as does Dave and Doc. This should definitely be more of a race than it is. However, I love the D-
Man. Let me just say right here and now, if I'm to lose to him, I will have no qualm. He is that good. Perhaps the best. And he's such a nice guy. He and IC have actually changed my entire thought on how I view people from Jersey. And seeing how I have plenty of Jersey shore people with me at my school, that's saying something.

Which is why it tugs away at my heart to have to try and tear him down. D-Man, just know I do this with the upmost respect. In the words of Shawn Michaels.... I'm sorry.... I love you.

- I gained a full bar of green rep before I reached 100 posts

I'm pretty sure I did that, too. Plus, we're dealing with the way on inflated rep, man. JKO has a full bar of rep. Think about that.

- I have earned multiple nominations in some of the top categories in the Posters EOY Awards

Mhm.... Check for me, as well. And for the record, that voting is pretty subjective. Was it not IC that voted you for that specific award?

- I've improving constantly with my posting ability and getting out of the IC's shadow

Fair enough... You're stuck in the shadow of a legend. Your avatar really does fit, to some extent. Anyway, you've had one WZ legend claim you... I have two. KB and X both have a claim to my tutelage. They both wish to call me their mentee. Take a look at the UT/Nathan Jones award. And I successfully got out of both shadows

- I've made it to the finals of the Debator's League against some of the strongest posters on this site

I've continually debated everyone on these forums, without a league. I'm really a free agent of the league, as I've taken on everyone on this forum. Here are some of my more classic battles:

Me VS. KB in Mick Foley-Greatest Jobber Ever
Me VS. Tdigle- Austin VS. Edge
Me VS. Will- Undertaker VS. Edge (Yes, I did indeed switch sides)
Me VS. NSL- Is TNA Better off without Angelina Love?
Me VS. Tasty- Edge VS. Bret Hart (Yes, I did switch sides again)
Me VS. Chihawks- Lex Luger VS. CM Punk
Me VS. Sidious- Is Chris Jericho overrated?
Me VS. Big Sexy- Edge VS. Bret Hart

And those are only the ones that come to my mind within a two minute span. If I've debated you, help me out here. Point is, I've taken on nothing but the absolute best, from the get go, with no hesitation.

- I have created a thread on Wrestlezone that has been well-known on two other forums besides this one

Right here, too, mate. The JTMFTG has a following, even though this is the only forum I regularly visit. And honestly.... Do you like your thread as much as the JTMFTG? C'mon....

- Not to mention I've also introduced new, innovative, and interactive threads that have drawn in some interesting replies and good volume

That's me too, brother.

- I've introduced many to the site and helped it gain new members

Man.... Without me, many of the regulars you now know would have probably not been known too well. All more or less due to the nWZo. Those alumni that came from this established force:

Doc
Dave
ChiHawks David
Savagetaker
The Bearded One
HardyMark
Metal Gear Steve
Dewey
General Disarray
Blue Chipper
Falkon (For as unfunny as people find him, he's a great poster)
Paradox

All of these posters got the rub from me. All of them. Can you boast a roster like that, D-Man?

- I love porn, porn stars, and enjoy meeting and taking pictures with them and posting them on this site (Had to throw that one in there)

Surely none of you have seen the picture of me with Ron Jeremy....

You see, D-Man? For everything you have, I can match. So why not just do what should be done; Concede, and join my bandwagon. Because the Tenta Train is about to pull out now, D-Man. Catch it while you can....

And Vote Tenta!

Tenta just made the single greatest self-promoting thread I've ever written. Just brilliant.

And my jaw dropped when you compared D-Man to his avatar.

Seriously, folks, hard to go wrong here at all. I've said it like 12 times now - best rookie class we've ever had. I feel like the number of forum regulars has doubled in size this year.

I think I should be blushing right now, but I'm not sure.

Ah, Hell....

Anyway, IC's right, you really can't go wrong here. No matter how you slice it, you're going to be voting for a great rookie. I'm really saddened it's become a bit of a runaway. And since it has, let's make this what it should be; either a five person race, and everyone start voting for ST, Lariat, and Doc/Dave.

OR, we could make this a one on one duel, between Myself and D-Man, who have inexplicably run away with the voting considering the candidates. So just vote. Vote for the best.

Vote Tenta...

While no doubt the efforts to get the win is going to be top priority of Tenta, I'm happy and honoured enough to be nominated, that's the award here.

But seriously, if you want a Rookie of the Year, it's D-Man! He's a guy who can be fun and loving and then get medieval on your ass. If there's one example of how epic D-Man is, look at his posting in the spam zones and then compare it to the epic-ness of his non-spam posts. He gave one of the best threads ever back in the Summer with "What is truly wrong with the WWE", he's been one of my favs from the beginning to win the Debator's League, he's also the only guy who beat me not once but TWICE in the same Tournament. But the bit I loved about that is how much of a gent he is and shows so much respect behind the scenes, he'll insult your mother and threaten to steal your cat in a battle post, but after the dust settles, he shows how much bigger of a person he really is beyond his posts by showing respect to anyone he battles. As said, if you haven't encountered D-Man's posts on the forums, you shouldn't really vote in this. Your vote should rightfully go to him. While I show so much lvoe to Dave, Chilli and others, D-Man has been solid and consistent throughout the year. He's also been nominated for Best Poster of the Year, it proves he is worthy to take this award. do the right thing VOTE FOR D-MAN!

Don't be angry I didn't vote for you Tenta, I would have, but you're not really a rookie bud. It wouldn't be fair. You know I still love you.

That said, the lack of support for Lariat is extremely disappointing. The guy is easily one of our most knowledgeable wrestling fans on here. I'm ashamed of you people.

Tough list, but Tenta takes it here, With knowledge and humor, he has the right mix. Sidious is a very very close second, but I think his modship has been an award enough. It's tenta for me. This crop of rookies is very good though.

While no doubt the efforts to get the win is going to be top priority of Tenta, I'm happy and honoured enough to be nominated, that's the award here.

Phoenix, you're a better man than I. Because the fact is, I do know of someone better than I. That man is Sidious. Ironic, eh? I truly do feel as though Sidious is the only candidate on this list actually better than me.

Still, I'm going to vote for myself. Why? Because I feel as though I am the better candidate. Why? Well....

But seriously, if you want a Rookie of the Year, it's D-Man! He's a guy who can be fun and loving and then get medieval on your ass.

I don't think you're going to find two more posts on this forum more bi-polar than "John Tenta Got Me A Date" and my post in "Whats with all the biasts?!?1"

If there's one example of how epic D-Man is, look at his posting in the spam zones and then compare it to the epic-ness of his non-spam posts.

Ok.... While that may be the case, consider anything valid in D-Man's posts in the spam section. Because while D-Man is funny.... My bar room posts not only are funny, but meaningful. You learn something from my bar room posts.

Example.... You learn to just be yourself in "John Tenta Got Me a Date". You learn acceptance and sharing through the "nWZo", as well as friendship. you learn the important things in my Dear John letter to Wrestlezone. I'm like a fucking walking Sesame Street here.

D-Man.... All he can teach you is how to motorboat a porn star's titties. And I'd like to think that comes innately

He gave one of the best threads ever back in the Summer with "What is truly wrong with the WWE",

And I've given you the best year round thread ibn the JTMFTG

he's been one of my favs from the beginning to win the Debator's League, he's also the only guy who beat me not once but TWICE in the same Tournament. B

Again, I'm pretty much the free agent of the league. The one TM wants to keep from you. Because I do all my debating without a league. On the streets. If D-Man's Rocky, I'm Clubber Lang.

And we all know how that went the first go-about

ut the bit I loved about that is how much of a gent he is and shows so much respect behind the scenes, he'll insult your mother and threaten to steal your cat in a battle post, but after the dust settles, he shows how much bigger of a person he really is beyond his posts by showing respect to anyone he battles.

Eh, so do I....

Or vote for me too...

Side note: Thriller, don't vote for me based on our mentor/mentee relationship, vote for who you think is the best rookie.

I truly believe that you deserve to get some recognition. CH David is one of the most well-rounded rookies. He has great posts in the Sports Stadium, Music, Wrestling, and probably some other sections I don't realize. I love D-Man and Tenta, Sid, and Lariat deserve recognition also, but I really think that CH David is the rookie of the year.

:D

There's still time. Make Lariat the Comeback of the Year by giving him 8 more VOTES! I know there's 8 people who think I'm kick ass enough for a vote.

I like to think I'm one of the better well-rounded posters/rookies. I usually try to post everywhere. But I appreciate the vote, Thriller. Truly man.

Really, Tenta? REALLY? Are we actually going to have a debate about why we are better than each other? For the record, and accolades aside, I don't need to cut someone else down to try and gain votes in this thread. You disappoint me...

Listen, I know what I've done this past year on this site. If it's good enough to gain votes, then great. But I absolutely WILL NOT stoop down to the level of "one-upping" a friend of mine on this forum. And I consider you a friend, as I do the other competitors in here.

The way I look at it, I refuse to beg, plea, scratch and claw recognition out of everyone on Wrestlezone Forums. I respect everyone here too much to insult their intelligence like that. I listed generic descriptions of my person accolades on here just to give everyone an idea of what I've done without trying to sound conceited and superior. I never said it was more or less than anything that any of the other posters in this category have done because that would be insulting. But to each his own, I guess.

Look, Tenta.. I like you. I like you a lot. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and concede that WZ members' recognition means a lot to you, so you'll fight at any cost to get it. But is all of this necessary?

I'm making this clear right now... I'm not boastful and conceited and I do not feel comfortable with debating with someone on "why I'm better than someone else." But since I also can't just sit back and allow all of this to transpire without at least ONE response, then in the interest of clearing up a few things before I discontinue this stupid, immature 'debate', I'm sorry and I love you, too...

Mhm.... Check for me, as well. And for the record, that voting is pretty subjective. Was it not IC that voted you for that specific award?

Last I checked, the peers that you so desperately seek recognition from voted me into those categories. Stop trying to use IC's mentorship against me as a crutch for you to gain votes over me. It's quite pathetic.

And I successfully got out of both shadows.

Actually, Norcal and Becca have shown tons of love for me, as well. Not to mention that my mentors voted for me here, unlike one of the guys you mentioned... So that puts me one up on you. And if my avatar fits me well for living in someone's shadow, then I've got a perfect one for you that represents your quest in this debate against me...

Do I really need to list all of my debates? I've been on this site for one month less than you. But I won't waste my time writing a book report to everyone, citing specific examples. If everyone wants to see my work then they could click just about everywhere on this site and find me. I've posted in every forum section on the site.

Right here, too, mate. The JTMFTG has a following, even though this is the only forum I regularly visit. And honestly.... Do you like your thread as much as the JTMFTG? C'mon....

Actually, I like my thread about a million times more than yours. Mine came from the heart... yours is a comedic thread that makes fun of wrestlers of the past. I think I wrote one like that, too. If I remember correctly, it was called "Remembering the Midcard". You posted in it and praised your love for it. Everyone can check it out, if they'd like.

Man.... Without me, many of the regulars you now know would have probably not been known too well. All more or less due to the nWZo. Those alumni that came from this established force:

So you're saying that rookies needed a rub from another rookie? And you think that you're the reason why they're well known now? This is an insult to everyone that you just listed. So what you're saying is their own posting ability had nothing to do with them getting well known? For shame, Tenta...

Tenta, I'm going to ask that you put this to bed now. Let everyone make their choices and decisions on their own. We've both stated our cases and as far as I'm concerned we're even.

Let the voting re-commence. Thanks for everyone's support, both for Tenta AND myself!

Thanks so much, Phoenix. And for the record, Phoenix might be one of the nicest, underrated posters on this site (along with CH David).
