Smackdown!: Royal Rumble is coming!

Smackdown starts off with a recap of Armaggedon (Mysterio d. Batista, Undertaker d. AJ Styles, JBL d. Hassan, Val Venis won the United States Battle Royal & more) The theme music hits, the fireworks go off around the whole building and the twin-trons show that tonight Stephanie McMahon will have an in ring announcement about the condition of Batista after the Ambulence Match as we cut to backstage

- Backstage Stephanie McMahon enters Randy Orton's dressing room. Stephanie tells Orton that its good to have the World Heavyweight Champion on Smackdown. Orton asks what she wants. Stephanie tells him that since he missed the last 4 weeks of action on Smackdown that the next 3 weeks he's been bookedfor matches. Matches that will lead up to his title defense at Royal Rumble. Stephanie McMahon tells him that his opponent tonight is Davari.

- Armaggedon Rematch: Muhammad Hassan (w/ Davari) vs JBL Another well fought back and forth match by the two. Midway through the match Randy Orton walked down to the ring to watch the match. While standing on the ramp Orlando Jordan nailed Orton from behind and through him in the ring. Hassan, JBL, Davari, & Jordan all procceded to beat down on Orton and the ref called the match a DQ.

- Backstage JBL, Hassan, Davari & Jordan are all talking backstage. JBL tells Davari to beat the hell out of Randy Orton. JBL then tells an angry Hassan that when he takes the belt from Orton at Royal Rumble he'll give him the first title shot. Hassan cheers up a bit and pats JBL on the shoulder.

- Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy vs Stevie Richards & Simon Dean Nice Tag Team match which ended with Matt hitting Richards with a Twist of Fate and Jeff hitting the Swanton Bomb for the win. Winners: Matt & Jeff (The Hardy Boyz)

- Backstage Randy Orton is pacing back and forth when Stacy Keibler enters his dressing room. Stacy asks if theres anything she can do for him. Orton tells her that the next few weeks are going to be a little unfair and that he fears he could finally lose his World Heavyweight Championship.

- Twin Tron shows a Preview of the Royal Rumble which then advertises Randy Orton vs J.B.L for the World Heavyweight Championship -

- The monitor then shows a Re-Cap of the match of the year candidate Undertaker vs AJ Styles from Armaggedon. It then says that next week on Smackdown AJ Styles & Undertaker will be in the same ring to exchange any words that they may have for each other.

- Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring. Stephanie says that what happened to Batista at the hands of two illegal immagrants was disgusting. Stephanie says Batista will not be back in the ring until the Royal Rumble match. Stephanie then promises to make Rey's life a living hell. Rey Mysterio then heads to the ring. Rey said that Batista started it and he was just retaliating. Rey told Stephanie that she could try to do whatever she wants to him, but he will prevail through everything. Stephanie says that tonight the main event will be Johnny Nitro & Joery Mercury vs Rey Mysterio & Juventud in a Non Title match. Stephanie says this is the beginning of the end for Rey Mysterio.

- Randy Orton vs Davari (w/ Muhammad Hassan) Short match, with Hassan trying to interfere only to get clotheslined out by Orton. Orton hit the r.K.o onto Davari for the quick pin. Winner: Randy Orton

- Smackdown Diva Krystal comes out to the ring and grabs a microphone. Krystal is about to introduce the new Womens Champion but from the crowd Melina attacks her beating her senseless and not getting off of her until Womens Champion Trinity rushes the ring. Trinity knocks Melina out of the ring and holds up the Womens Championship to the crowds delight. Trinity then helps Krystal up and kissing her on the lips just like she did to Melina at Armaggedon!

- A preview stated that Sabu is coming to Smackdown played.

- Lashley vs Rob Conway (United States Champion Val Venis on commentary) Solid match with Lashley picking up the victory eventually with the Dominator. After the match Lashley stared down Val VenisWinner: Lashley

- (Non Title Match) MNM vs Rey Mysterio & Juvi Very long match, with many nice team manuvers by Mysterio & Juvi. Juvi picked up the win for the team by rolling up Nitro for the win. Winners: Rey Mysterio & Juvuntud

- After the match Rey challenges MNM to a rematch next week with the titles on the line...after stalling for a while they finally accept the challenge as Smackdown goes off the air.

Last week on Smackdown, Rey Mysterio & Juventud defeated MNM in a Non Title match. This week the teams will face again, but this time for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The pyro's go off and we kick off the next episode of Smackdown as the Royal Rumble gets even closer!

- The show kicks off with JBL's music hitting as he comes out to the ring in his limo with Muhammad Hassan & Davari following him as he is set for some one on one action.

- J.B.L vs Chris Benoit
The match was very intense and even made it's way to the outside. Benoit german suplexed JBL through the announce table. As JBL struggled to gain his sense back Davari distracted the ref and Muhammad Hassan started brawling with Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit and Muhammad Hassan fought back and forth in the match until Hassan smashed Benoit's head on JBL's limosine. Muhammad Hassan through Benoit back into the ring and JBL was able to cover the bloody body of Benoit for the win. After the match JBL said that he was the toughest superstar in the WWE and that is why he will beat Randy Orton and take his World Heavyweight Championship.
Winner: JBL


- Bobby Lashley comes out next, followed by Val Venis. Originally planed was Lashley vs Val Venis for the United States Championship. Val Venis told Lashley that he hasn't earned a United States Championship match. Val Venis told him that he would have to defeat him and his two partners in a 3 on 1 handicap match to earn a U.S. Title Shot. Ken Kennedy & Rob Conway were Val Venis two partners and our next match was underway

- Handi-Cap Match: Lashley vs Val Venis (c), Ken Kennedy, & Rob Conway
The most of the match was Lashley getting beaten on by all 3 superstars. Lashley was able to fight back and get the pin on Rob Conway with the Dominator to shock Val Venis. After the match Val Venis grabbed his United States Championship and ran away into the back. Lashley posed for the crowd.
Winner: Lashley

- Backstage Randy Orton is backstage and Stephanie McMahon stops him. Randy asked how he's enjoying his stay on Smackdown, to which Randy Orton tells Stephanie that he will not hesitate to make sure he gets fired so he can jump over back to RAW if she doesnt stop. Stephanie McMahon tells Orton that if he threatens her again he'll be in for some trouble when Batista returns. Orton reminds Stephanie that Batista lost to Rey Mysterio which got a big pop from the crowd as Orton walks away.

- Womens Championship: Trinity (c) vs Melina
Quick match with Trinity pinning Melina with a Shooting Star Press to retain her Womens Championship.
Winner: Trinity

- Backstage Orlando Jordan is getting ready for his match with Randy Orton when JBL enters the room and tells Jordan that he always had faith in him and always thought he was a trooper. Jordan tells JBL that he will not lose his match tonight and that Orton's 10 month Title reign will come to an end when he gets in the ring with JBL.

- In The Ring: AJ Styles & Undertaker
Both Superstars make there way to the ring for the first time since Armaggedon. Both Superstars stare down each other as AJ Styles tells Undertaker that he is the toughest superstar he has ever faced and he has never felt more apprecative to be in the ring, then at Armaggedon. Undertaker tells Styles that he has guts and he put of one hell of a fight. Undertaker and Styles shake hands. Styles says that now that the chapter has ended its time to go to the next. Styles asks Undertaker what his plans are. The Undertaker tells AJ Styles he's going to enter the 30 Man Royal Rumble and become the man who goes 15 and 0 at Wrestlemania and wins the World Heavyweight Championship. Styles then tells Undertaker he will have to go 15 - 0 some other way because he is entering the Royal Rumble and winning. Undertaker & Styles look deep into each others eyes. Undertaker raises his hands and lightning hits the entrance ramp as his theme music plays.

- Randy Orton (c) vs Orlando Jordan (w/ JBL)
JBL tried to interfere during the match and got ejected from ringside. Randy Orton hit a few German Suplexs on Jordan and was ready to hit him with an rKo but Jordan left the ring. Randy Orton told Jordan to come back into the ring when Muhammad Hassan got in the ring and nailed Orton with a steel chair and the ref called for the DQ. Orton was layed out and Hassan tells him that next week they go one on one for the first time.

- Matt & Jeff Hardy were in the ring next getting ready for a Tag Team match when unknown music hit and a beautiful women comes out. She announces herself as Beth Phenoix, Smackdown's newest and greatest diva. She then introduces her new tag team to the Hardyz. She announces C.M. Punk & Aaron "The Idol" Stevens. The two come out from the crowd and beat the hell out of the Hardy Boyz. The two superstars use multiple double team moves and lay both Hardy Boyz out as there music hits. C.M. Punk, Aaron Stevens & Beth Phenoix stand tall over the Hardyz.

- Backstage Josh Matthews talked to Lashley about his match tonight. Lashley said that after he was able to win a 3 on 1 handicap match, he was going to enter the Royal Rumble because he knew he could win it.

- WWE Tag Team Championship: Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro (c) (w/ Melina & Jillian Hall) vs Rey Mysterio & Juventud
In an epic match the two teams brawled with each other and gave it there all. Late in the match Rey Mysterio hit Mercury with a crossbody from the top rope for a very close three. MNM were able to double team Juvi after throwing Rey out of the ring. MNM lifted Juventud up for the snapshot and reversed it launching both men into the ropes in 619 position. Rey Mysterio got in the ring and hit the 619 on them. Rey & Juvi both went to seperate top ropes and pointed up in memory of Eddie and nailed both Superstars with frog splashes and covered them for the win!

Smackdown! kicks off with a re-cap of Undertaker & AJ Styles talking about entering the Royal Rumble. Then it shows Rey Mysterio & Juventud capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship from MNM last week on Smackdown. Finally it shows on the screen that tonight it will World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton going one on one with Muhammad Hassan in a Non-Title match Tonight.


Thedore R. Long music hits throughout the arena as we are underway for Smackdown. Teddy Long enters the ring and gets a microphone. "Listen up Playa's...I ain't here to your Smackdown General Manager anymore!....I'm here to make sure this show doesn't get ruined by that witch Stephanie McMahon!...Mr McMahon hired me as the Commisoner of this show, and thats exactly what I'm going to do!" Teddy Long says that tonight is his first night back on the job and that he wants to make sure this Smackdown is a special one so he has a little surprise planned for tonight. Before Teddy could say what the surprise was Batista's music hit in the arena and he made his way down to the ring in his expensive looking suit. Batista takes a microphone. "Well Teddy, It looks like your not the only one who returned here tonight. You see I was schedualed to make my return back at Royal Rumble, where I will eliminate 29 other Superstars to win another Royal Rumble." Teddy Long then asks Batista to cut to the chase and to tell him why he's out here. Batista tells Teddy Long that he wants Rey Mysterio one more time tonight. Batista says he got cheated and this time it won't happen again. Teddy Long tells Batista that tonight he cannot face Rey Mysterio because he already booked him for his surprise match for tonight. Teddy Long then announces an Armaggedon Re-Match. The United States Championship Battle Royal, but tonight..it will be 20 Superstars! Batista throws a little fit and then leaves the ring and storms to the back. Teddy Long continues to dance in the ring as his music plays.

Backstage Batista barges into Stephanie McMahon's office and asks what the hell is going. Stephanie tells Batista that everyone thought he wasn't coming back until the Royal Rumble and that Teddy went through Vince to get this match to be offical so there is nothing she can do about it.

Again backstage Lashley is thanking Teddy Long for making the match, Teddy Long wishes him the best of luck and tells him to bring the United States Championship back home....meanwhile on the other side of that room we see Randy Orton walking towards the entrace for his match with Hassan coming up next!

Randy Orton vs Muhammad Hassan (w/ Davari) (JBL on Commentary)
- Randy Orton and Muhammad Hassan circled the ring, and Randy Orton pretended to trip when he was near Davari to get the ref to eject him from ringside. The match was very long and very technical. Orlando Jordan ran down to the ring during the match but immediatley got caught up in an rKo. Muhammad Hassan was able to get Orton in the camel clutch but the ref was still trying to get Jordan out of the ring. JBL then got up off commentary and went in the ring. Hassan lifted Orton up for JBL and JBL went for the clothesline from hell but Orton ducked and JBL laid out Hassan. Randy Orton hit JBL with an rKo. JBL rolled out of the ring and Orton covered Hassan and got the 3!
Winner: Randy Orton

Backstage Ken Kenedy was walking around and bumped into Beth Phenoix. Mr Kennedy told her that he has a talk show and he wants her to be the guest tonight..

Hangin' With Mr Kennedy: Special Guest - Beth Phenoix
- Mr Kennedy first says that tonight he will win the United States Championship Battle Royal and then go on to win the Royal Rumble and take over Smackdown. Mr Kennedy then introduces Beth Phenoix. Beth Phenoix takes a microphone "Tonight, you fans are witnessing history....not only do you get to see the newest, hottest, most exclusive Smackdown Diva...you get to see her introduce the brand new Tag Team that Smackdown has to offer...Ladies and Gentlemen..C.M. Punk & Aaron "The Idol" Stevens! The two superstars make there way to the ring to a large chorus of boo's. Aaron takes the microphone from Beth first.."You see we noticed how lack luster the tag team divison was here on Smackdown so we decided the time to come was now...to show all the superstars in the back and all the fans watching exactly what we're here to do...no one can get in our way to going to the top and taking the WWE Tag Team Championship." Aaron then hands the microphone to C.M. Punk. "Knock Knock...(The crowd responds with who's there)...NOT THE HARDY BOYZ...that's right, because last week we were able to take out both Matt & Jeff Hardy....there so scared that neither of them came to Smackdown tonight...so take that as a warning Smackdown..a revolution is here and we are not going to let anything or anyone stand in our way!" Punk drops the microphone as the 3 Superstars leave the ring and head to the back to there music.

Backstage Melina is talking to Nirto, Mercury & Kid Kash. Melina tells them that all three of them are in the Battle Royal and that they have an advantage. Melina tells them to work together and redeem themselfs for losing the Tag Team Championship. MNM gets psyched up and get ready for there Battle Royal.

United States Championship 20 Man Battle Royal
(Participants: Val Venis (c), Bobby Lashley, Ken Kennedy, Mercury, Nitro, Simon Dean, Stevie Richards, Orlando Jordan, Paul Birchill, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Juventud, Kid Kash, Matt Striker, Gene Snitsky, Rob Conway, William Regal, Tatanka, Spanky, Paul London)

- Immediatley apon entering, Lashley tossed over Stevie Richards. Simon Dean then attempted to attack Lashley but Lashley picked Dean up over his head and through him out onto Richards.
- Val Venis was ganged up on by many superstars, trying to eliminate him. Paul London got pushed off the top rope by Matt Striker to get eliminated. Snitsky had Benoit tied in the ropes. Snitsky ran at Benoit but Benoit moved his head down and flipped Snitsky over the top rope.
- Rey & Juvi were double teaming MNM members and letting them get no offesne. Matt Striker & Spanky were trying to eliminate each other until Ken Kennedy snuck behind them and eliminated them both.
- Rey Mysterio hit a 619 on both Nitro & Mercury, followed by Benoit hitting them with a double clothesline. Rob Conway was the next to be thrown over the top rope, by Lashley.
- Lashley was very pumped up as every superstar was on the other side of the ring staring at an angered Lashley. The Superstars pushed Orlando Jordan into him as Lashley dominated him and threw him over the top rope.
- All the Superstars ganged up on Lashley after that and overpowered him and eliminated him out of the Battle Royal. Lashley was very angry and re-entered the ring and hit several superstars with power moves before referee's had to restrain him. Paul Birchill clotheslined William Regal over the top rope next.
- Val Venis finally eliminated someone when Tatanka tried to clothesline him over the top but Venis moved away.
- Mercury, Nitro, & Kid Kash elminated Juvi when all three of them took him on. Rey was distracted by Ken Kennedy. Rey Mysterio then drop kicked Kennedy into Mercury & Nitro. Rey then went after Kid Kash and was able tot eliminate him.
- Paul Birchill flipped Benoit over the top but Benoit landed on the apron. Birchill turned around and Benoit was able to flip him out of the ring.
- Mercury, Nitro, Val Venis, Rey, Kennedy & Benoit remain. Rey & Val Venis are facing off with alot arial wrestling moves. Benoit gets hit with a Snap Shot by Mercury & Nitro, followed by getting thrown out by the pair.
- Kennedy attempts to sneak up on Val Venis & Rey Mysterio and tries to eliminate them the same way as he eliminated two superstars before, but they notice and both eliminate Kennedy.
- MNM start beating down Rey Mysterio together as Val Venis is resting in the corner. Rey Mysterio is lifted up by both members of MNM as they go to eliminate him, but Rey reverses it and eliminates the two of them!
- Rey & Val Venis are the last two superstars. Both superstars look very fatigue as they slowly start going at it with each other. It looked like Rey had the Battle Royal won when Batista ran out and slammed Rey Mysterio in the head with a chair. Batista then hung Rey on the ropes for Val Venis to just tip him over. Val Venis did just that and was proclaimed the winner of the Battle Royal.

As Smackdown goes off the air we see Batista heading up the ramp with a huge smile on his face after what he did to Rey Mysterio.

Smackdown - Royal Rumble in 2 weeks!

- Show kicks off with a re-cap of last weeks Smackdown, specificly what Batista did to Rey Mysterio as we then hear the theme music to Smackdown
and start the show!

- Lashley vs Muhammad Hassan (w/ Davari)
(Cole & Tazz Note: Both of these Superstars will be in the Royal Rumble)
Early in the match Davari got on the apron and yelled out at Lashley. Lashley was walking over towards Davari when Hassan attempted to hit Lashley from behind. Lashley moved out of the way Hassan hit Davari and sent him flying off the apron. Lashley hit Hassan with the Dominator for the three! After the match Davari was trying to help Hassan up and when Hassan got to his feet he started arguing with Davari over the match. Davari apologized over and over and Hassan just walked out on him. Davari followed him begging for forgiveness.
Winner: Lashley

- Backstage Stephanie McMahon is in her office with Batista when she hears a knock on the door. She opens the door and its WWE Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio & Juventud. Rey says Batista cost him the United States Championship last week and now he's going to pay. Batista told him that he can have his chance tonight because tonight it's going to be Batista vs Rey Mysterio.

- Again Backstage JBL is talking to Josh Matthews and JBL says he's very confedent going into his match at Royal Rumble with Randy Orton, that he is going to have his victory celebration tonight in the ring.

- Again in Stephanie McMahon's office it looks as if her and Batista are getting closer then usually as another knock is heard on the door. Batista opens it and its Jillian Hall & Melina. Melina says she never got a rematch with Trinity for the Womens Championship and she wants it. Stephanie said that she was right so she's going to do her a favor and at the Royal Rumble it will be Trinity vs Melina & Jillian Hall, and if either of them pin Trinity, they will become the Womens Champion.

- JBL's music hits throughout the arena and he makes his way down to the ring with Orlando Jordan. JBL thanks all the fans for there support in supporting him throughout the weeks and promises to bring home the big one for everyone. The crowd heavily boo's him. Randy Orton's music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Randy Orton tells him that he thought he would be able to get through Orton by making him fight all his little minions but it didn't work. Orton told JBL he didn't have to wait for the Royal Rumble because tonight he would face him with the title on the line. Teddy Long's music then hits and he comes out and says that tonight the World Heavyweight Championship will not be decided, instead it will be Randy Orton vs JBL & Orlando Jordan. Orton looks pleased as his music hits and he leaves the ring.

- C.M. Punk & Aaron "The Idol" Stevens (w/ Beth Phenoix) vs The Hardy Boyz
C.M Punk & Stevens did a brutal number on the Hardyz. After they took care of Jeff, they double teamed Matt with a new version of the Dooms Day Device, followed by a 450 leg drop off the top rope by C.M. Punk for the pin on Matt. After the match the pair went outside to Jeff Hardy and picked him up and dropped him hard on the steel steps.
Winners: C.M. Punk & Aaron "The Idol" Stevens (w/ Beth Phenoix)

- Backstage Teddy Long bumps into and tells him to defeat Batista tonight again for him, for screwing him & his team at Survivor Series. Rey says tonight will be no different then Armaggedon.

- AJ Styles vs Joey Mercury
(Cole & Tazz Note: Both Superstars are in the Royal Rumble)
Quick match with Styles defeating Mercury with the Styles Clash. After the match Styles assures the fans that he will be victorious at the Royal Rumble.

Back from Break

- Val Venis is in the ring and he tells all the fans that he is the United States Champion. Venis then shows off his new T-Shirt and tells all the fans to buy it because he is the most loved superstar in the WWE. Val Venis then tells everyone that they should get used to seeing championship belts on Val Venis because at the Royal Rumble he plans on winning it and going to Wrestlemania to become the next World Heavyweight Champion.

- Randy Orton vs JBL & Orlando Jordan
Not a very long match, since JBL and Orlando Jordan decided to double team Orton and get disqualified. JBL tells Orton that this Sunday at Royal Rumble he will be victorious and there will be nothing he can do about it.

- Backstage Josh Matthews interviews Batista. Batista advises the World to watch this match and to see what really should of happened to Rey Mysterio at Armaggedon.

- Armaggedon Re-Match: Batista vs Rey Mysterio
Mysterio's family was watching the match at ringside, being as the show was in San Diego. Batista dominated Rey the whole match with a majority of power moves. Rey looked very hopeless the whole match. Rey's wife came in and jumped on Batista's back trying to get him to stop the assault, but Batista flipped her over with brute force and smiled at her. The ref called for the bell because of this but Batista didn't care. Batista pushed the ref out of the way and nailed Rey Mysterio with a vicious powerbomb.

Batista is standing tall in the ring as Smackdown goes off the air... SEE YA AT THE RUMBLE!

Pretty good lol! you make some good matches that I would never make happen! I like that you gave Orlando a nice oppertunity against Orton. Just one suggestion... lengthen the matches a little bit
i cant wait for the Rumble!

The matches are pretty short but I like the brand overall. I really want to see that royal rumble!
