Haku has the advantage of being not that easy to push around with his History in Sumo. Then you have his Pro Wrestling history. He can do what is required in the ring to demolish his opponent. This is a Polynesian dream match. but Umaga will win out in a couple of years but right now it is Haku.

Test is terrible. He had every chance int he world to get over with multiple different angles, and he did nothing with them. He's going against one of the guys that is probably one of the best to ever be in the ring. Flair calls him a glorified stunt man, I call Ric Flair an idiot. Foley takes this one fairly easily.

So we have a guy that was the face of his federation, against an unproven singles wrestler from a glorified indy fed? Fairly easy choice with this match. Like Jake said, probably wouldn't have beena main evetner in the E, but certainly a main eventer in WCW. Kerry Von Erich wins fairly easily.

It's a shame that either one of these two go home in the first round, when someone liek Elijah Burke is going to round 2. Umaga has tremendous potential, that is if he doesn't continue to get buried by Triple H for the color of his trunks, really ******ed. Haku on the other hand was a proven quality mid card in both WWE and WCW. I actually think that Meng got pushed better then Haku ever did in the WWE. I take the Tongan death grop over the Samoan Spike.

Jerry Lawler has an insane amout of championships and accomplishments, but you know what, what did he ever accomplish in an environment when any of those accomplishments were worth a damn. He was the king of Memphis, but outside of taht territory, nothing great. But as Shadow has said, Mistico is a guy you can build a division around, and the WWE cruiserweight division could be given the shot it needs if Mistico were to sign. Mistico should win this match, just to quick for Lawler, and lawler isn't a powerhouse to negate that speed.

Tatanka has one of the most forgettable undefeated streaks in wrestling history. It iddn't matter, he was just incredibly bland in the ring. Booker T on the other hand is a must watch wrestler. The guy should have been a world champion in the WWE in 2003 instead of 2006. Booker T was one of the few reasons to watch WCW in its last years. And if you need further proof, Booker T vs. Benoit best of 7 for the WCW TV title.

Scott Steiner is one of the best talents to hit a wrestling rign the last twenty years. Again, another guy that has the total package. He is a technical mat wrestler, a power house, and agile enough to invent a move like the Frankensteiner. A dream match of a prime Brock vs. a prime Scott Steiner would ahve been awesome. Never much of a Patterson fan. Very dull, very bland in my opinion.

Val Venis is a guy that got completley screwed in the line when gimmicks were being held out. there was no way the Porn star gimmick was going to work much longer then six months before the "shock" factor wore out. The guy is solid, and has proven that by being employed by the WWE for a decade, and not having a significant story line since 2003. Harris on the othe rhand was a good tag wrestler, but so unproven in the singles realm.

I for one am a Kerry Von Erich van. He was much better then his brothers IMO, and carried the entire Von Erichs-Freebirds rivalry (along with Michael Hayes). If you haven't had the chance, check out WCCW. Go for the DVD they released last year for an initial taste, because old territories like that in the 80s were just awesome IMO.

Jake said it best. Neither of these Briscoe brothers stand a chance in singles competition. Von Erich all the way here.

I'm very disappointed in you guys, going for the Mistico route. Mistico is very talented, for sure. He's one of the best CWs in the world IMO. But Lawler was simply better.

Heres one great Lawler match Jake: Lawler vs. Nick Bockwinkel. Or how about Lawler vs. Curt Hennig? Lawler in the 80s could work a damn good match.

Lawler over Mistico any day for me.

Again, gotta agree with you guys on Val Venis. Very solid in the ring, I still remember the opening match he had against D-Lo Brown (also underrated IMO) at Summerslam 98. Solid stuff.

He could work a good midcard program any day of the week for sure. It's a damn shame they don't still use him, I'd much prefer him in the midcard mix then Bob fucking Holly.

Chris Harris...sucks. Like I've said before. Decent in the ring, terrible overall. Blander then Pat Patterson.

Val Venis; One of the most underrated people the WWE has produced, and it was all down to the gimmick. Very few people remember some of his good matches due to the fact they remember him and the towel he always used to have which he later threw into the crowd. I think this was a waste as he could be one of the greats had he had a different gimmick.

I say Venis after about 15 minutes. I don't think Harris could pull off many good matches especially like this.

Umaga won? Damnit! Haku was leading right up until this morning.
I dont see what others see in Umaga, especially compared to someone who did the wild native thing so so much better. Umaga just bores me.
