Only Pushing TNA Originals is a Recipe for Disaster.

Only pushing home-grown talent? How's that even possible? Almost everyone in TNA has come from another company. If you're an american pro wrestler, you wanna make it big, right? So were do you go? WWE. Thats been the case since 2001 when WCW and ECW died. WWE monopolized more than just the art of pro wrestling but the talent as well. If you aren't in WWE, you're irrelevant to the mainstream wrestling world. TNA doesn't have the facilities for a farm territory. So where do you get good talent? WWE's drop-outs are gonna wan't something to fall back on. #2 seems like a good choice. From there you get guys like Burke/Dinero, Brian Kendrick and all the "oldies". Indy companies pick up just about anybody so it can be a great place to start your career. Eventually you're gonna want to head up, but #1 doesn't think you're good enough. Where to? TNA.

The point is it doesn't matter how you look at it, it shouldn't matter where the talent comes from. What should matter is how they perform. Only pushing TNA homegrown talent would not be a disaster. 1) Because it is virtually impossible, unless creative is really that careless and 2) TNA lacks a farm territory. Their talent will always arrive with a degree of training or experience. There is however such cases like with Big Rob and Lacey. However because its only 2 people they can just simply be sent to a school for reinforced training.

By the way, nice thread Doc.
