NASCAR 2011: The Game

TSG

Too Sweet To Be Sour
EA Sports stopped making NASCAR games, which left an absence for a time. But luckily, Activision picked up the rights and began the venture back into NASCAR video games, resulting in this game.

It is not the most in-depth game in the world, or the best, but it does provide entertainment. It has a good array of updated drivers to choose from, a simple career mode, and decent game play system. The controls are mostly the same as EA's, so it makes it simple to pick up and play for former EA devotees. The drafting system provides for some fun passing and speed challenges, and the game play over all is pretty simple yet fun. The graphics are good and display realistic damage, and is very interactive.

There is also an Eliminator Mode which allows for You to race any number of opponents in which after the first lap is completed, a timer ranging anywhere from 10-30 seconds, depending on what you so choose, ticks. After the timer ends, the last car is eliminated and the timer starts again. This continues until one car is left. It makes for fun and grueling races trying to stay ahead of last and has a variety of different options with the varying number of opponents, tracks, and times.

I think it's a fun game that provides simple entertainment that can last long term, and is worth a buy for any NASCAR or even racing game fans. What are your thoughts on this game?
